Great year, learnt a lot

At the start I thought there'd be no way I'd be able to make a 2D game engine in Python, but here I am I guess. The Tutor was great and clearly knew a lot more than what was needed, so that was really great. I did get lost along the way a few times but I understood what was going on in general...

At the start I thought there'd be no way I'd be able to make a 2D game engine in Python, but here I am I guess.
The Tutor was great and clearly knew a lot more than what was needed, so that was really great.
I did get lost along the way a few times but I understood what was going on in general quite confidently just the little small things were what sometimes confused me.
Can't wait to continue FunTech next year, though that isn't Purecoder, I'm certain it will be just as good.
I think what would be cool would be to have a game we plan on building in the end, and adding to the same file(s) every week and slowly building up to one big game at the end, rather than tons of smaller units and files.
Thanks a lot for a great year in which we covered a lot of content.

best and most fun exam prep EVER!

it was amazing! every time i was confused i got separate sessions to get my mind less confused and help me understand.

My Funtech year

This year I found that the lessons were a bit more dull. Even though they were very beneficial, I also found it quite boring. Next year I hope for the courses to be a bit more fun, but just as much tech!

A very nice year

I think it was amusing and enjoyable. Some parts were confusing, but with preps eventually, I got to understand them.
I enjoyed this year and cant wait to come back!

Creative Tech course

Our son enjoyed the course delivered in the three terms. He learned how to use various programs and their application in the creative world. The classes are small and it helps to have a more engaging experience. He continues with Tech Pro this year.

Final Lesson With Sam

I have had a great time learning with Sam and once you get to know him he is a very easy going guy. I hope my other tutor teachers are just as good. I had a good lesson and I learnt a few extra things with the extra help. Thank you.

CreativeTech

Our son, 10, has just completed the CreativeTech course with FunTech and he has absolutely loved it. He's enjoyed every aspect of the course especially the graphics element. Our son, 10, has just completed the CreativeTech course with FunTech and he has absolutely loved it. He's enjoyed every aspect of the course especially the graphics element. As an aspiring YouTuber (what kid isn't these days!) he has revelled in the fact he can now create graphics for his channel. His introduction to the Adobe platform has given him lots of confidence, so much so he has extended his knowledge by teaching himself the basics of Adobe Premier which wasn't part of the course. All the skills he has learnt have been applied together making his videos slightly less terrible :-)

On a slightly more practical application during the lockdown he was able to utilise his new skills doing his remote school work where he was wowing the teacher with his creations. The added benefit for us was that he was doing his school work enthusiastically as he didn't see it as 'boring'.

The course was fantastically run week on week building on what he has learnt, on the odd occasion where the concepts were not fully understood FunTech picked up on this from their comprehensive feedback system. The concepts were then recapped in an extra session ensuring there were no gaps from the course. Absolutely first-class.

We are looking forward to many more years with FunTech and are excited to see where it takes us.

My son has benefitted greatly from his FunTech courses, and his teachers have also recognised this when working on his projects at school. Learning from home with the Virtual Lab is so easy. He sign's in each week and is engaged for the entire lesson, learning and laughing along the way. The tutors and staff always bend over backwards to help, they recognise and give additional support when needed. I'm extremely happy with FunTech and looking forward seeing what he will achieve with them next!

It was a very good way of learning, in particular during the Covid-restricted period of 2020/21.
We are going to move to the UAE and will revert back concerning possible future courses once we know how the new school and schedule of Luca will pan out.

PureCoder - Level I 3

My teen said really enjoyable and a lot was learnt in a fun engaging way. Definitely a hit.

Really fantastic - I highly recommend this.

Funtech have been fabulous. My granddaughter loved, loved the course - it gave her confidence and she really enjoyed every lesson, not only that on the occasion when she needed it, they gave her free catch up time.
Frankly, this is a fantastic company I cannot recommend them highly enough

Pure Code level 1 and 2 fast track

Our son Vincent enjoyed the pure code level 1 and 2 fast track.
It was good to also have the option of asking for a catch up session before the next lesson to go through and consolidate the more complex topics.
As a result, Vincent has chosen Computer science as one of his GCSE subjects.

I can't praise the level of customer service enough: from the troubleshooting software installation to regular updates and very flexible and understanding with regards to the change in dates, thank you all Funtech departments for your good work.
The course contents seems to keep my child motivated at all times, and even when material gets harder, the proactive suggested catch up/support sessions help my child to progress smoothly without any confidence compromise. Great pedagogy and kind, supportive tutors.
