Recent bespoke programmes
Marcus wanted to understand what was possible with his old Raspberry Pi, but he wasn’t sure where to begin.
We designed a personalised programme that introduced him to three distinct areas of computing, giving him a structured way to explore the full capability of the device. He built an encryption server, a Flask-based web application with user accounts and stored data, and a multiplayer Draughts game powered by server-side logic and Pygame clients.
The final projects show impressive technical depth and a clear progression through networking, web development and game design, giving him a strong foundation for more advanced computing in the future.
Ollie wanted to understand what goes on behind real websites and how each layer fits together.
Ollie is enrolled on our PureCoder pathway, but also wanted to understand what goes on behind real websites and how each layer fits together.
His programme introduces him to front-end design, server-side development and database integration through a clear, structured progression. He is building responsive pages with HTML and CSS, developing Flask-based servers to handle user actions, and working with SQL to store and retrieve data.
He is on track to create a fully functional web application that brings every layer of development together and gives him a strong foundation for the kind of projects he hopes to build in the future.
Emry was trying to create his own Roblox games using tutorials and ChatGPT, but he often felt unsure about what his code was doing.

We assessed his skill level and designed a programme that takes him back to the fundamentals, rebuilding his understanding from the ground up so every concept is clear and fully understood. He is now learning object-oriented Lua programming, building class-based systems, creating multiplayer game logic, working with server and client scripts, and developing AI-driven behaviours that respond to player actions. He is also creating persistence systems that allow progress and data to be saved reliably across sessions.
Step by step, he is gaining a deep understanding of how Roblox games are built and the confidence to design and develop any game he wants to bring to life.

Talha designed a driverless racing simulation in Unreal Engine 5, training multiple AI agents to navigate racetracks independently using reinforcement learning. Over three terms, he built his own neural network tools, created maze-solving agents, and developed an AI-controlled racing car capable of learning complex driving behaviour.
This project now forms a standout piece in Talha’s university applications for Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Jonathan created a bespoke reinforcement learning project in Python, building his own neural network API and training agents to solve tasks in custom game environments. His work included Q Tables and Deep Q Learning, applied to challenges such as obstacle avoidance and Snake.
