The skills checks were brilliant and i think the only problem i encountered was connection issues and not doing what was required for the catchup lessons. The coder level 1 review teaches you all the basics of coding and teaches you how to create certain games such as hangman, noughts and crosses and a word guesser. It is a very informative course and is suitable for all ages. The tutors are really kind and useful and help whenever it is needed. The lesson time is good as it keeps your mind activated for the whole time and keeps you learning.

A good year

I have enjoyed my time with FunTech! It has been quite an adventure. I have enjoyed the course this year. Nothing really to bad to mention.

Pretty good course

It was a good course but someone more games would be nice but thank you for teaching me this year.

Great! Would recommend!

Tutors are very good at teaching, and the course is very helpful and inclusive. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is £475 for an online call is quite expensive. otherwise, this was great!

I feel more confident using python because the tutor made sure we that all understood what we were doing. I learnt a lot in 2 weeks and enjoyed doing the final project.

Roblox Game Developer

It was extremely fun to do and I leant a lot although we didn't do lua coding whereas the page for this course says it has lua coding. I learnt how to use constraints, forces, properties and the terrain editor!

I realy enjoyd making mods in mincraft_because there is so much stuff to make. I espeacily liked making mobs because you can make a health bar for it, you can make them realy strong/weak mobs. its so fun just making realy powerfull armor.

It was fun making my own project and changing parts of it to customise it to my taste.

It was a good week. The days were very long, but it was fun. I learned a lot and the Friday was cool, because we could do our own little game

I learnt a lot of new skills and it helped e develop my existing Python knowledge. Everyone including the Tutors were very helpful if we were stuck and it was fun because there was a balance and we got enough breaks

The course is well structured but the way it suggests to write the code can sometimes be a little clunky, however Lem was an amazing teacher, helping out with this. Overall, I think it was a very good camp and I will remember my week in a very positive light.

We started with a recap of python and its basic code before moving on to some slightly more advanced code on Day 1. It felt relaxed to be eased back into to python after not doing it for a while. On Day 2 we did more advance coding using API and face/image recognition utilizing Google Colab's advanced servers. On Day 3 we started looking into and doing neural network theory. We also created datasets such as a "tic tac toe" csv which described all possible combinations of the game "tic tac toe". On Day 4 we coded a AI to recognise hand written digits and tell us what it thought they were, although it was not always right. On Day 5 we did a coding project, I choose to do a chat bot and code "Agents" for it to respond to inputs with. In conclusion, it was a very fun course with teachers that new what they were doing and how to explain it and make it fun and interactive at the same time. I would definitely recommend doing this course for those who want to advance further in python or as a follow up to the other python courses FunTech offers.

Fun Summer Camp

it was fun and i learnt a lot of redstone & circuits.

AI Machine learning course (its 4.5 stars not 4 but no half stars option)

Great fun, would recommend to any python enjoyer. You do interesting and engaging activities such as making chatbots and image recognition software. The residential part was good, the only mildly annoying thing was the 9pm bedtime. Overall, I had a very enjoyable time.

most of my week was brilliant it was the middle pats of the trip that didnt go so well but my favourite part of the trip was the scuba diving which was brilliant

Teachers made it worth it!

Touch typing is never going to be the most interesting thing in the world however the teachers really do listen to you. Will give you a useful skill, the course was good but maybe needed 2 weeks to be able to fully touch-type. :)

FunTech Tonbridge Minecraft Camp

My time here at the funtech camp has been amazing. When you first arrive you will be petrified but by the morning you will have fitted in and feeling right at home. The food is amazing.

Very Enjoyable!

The camp was very fun. The teachers were very tolerant and fun! We played fun games and learnt successfully the basics of typing.

FunTyper was fun but the games get boring after a while.

I thought that this week was fun since we were playing the games and learning at the same time! But I have still not learnt all of the keys this week.

Very good week

We started to learn about this whole "game design" concept and how it works and how to work the software called "unreal" engine , we developed our skills into making a fully fledged game

At my funtech camp, I learnt the basics of touch typing. I found the experience very fun and I ENJOYED it very much. We played games that included typing to help us with muscle memory. We also had an abundanc of breaks which was very fun. I would definetly come back to the camp for a 4th time.

Only thing I didnt like was the time being longer than school. It was 2 hours longer than normal school. Otherwise, it was very enjoyable!!!

Ps. Would recommend to friends!!! :)

the camp was good but what I would change would be to be full day over 2 weeks of time of the camp the pace was good and Anderson was very kind and helpful.

The course was very informative and fun. I learnt a lot and using that knowledge at the end to create a project was very rewarding. However I found that not enough time was spend recapping the difficult topics. This made it so I had a very good understanding of most of the topics by the end but there were a few more complicated topics such as for loops which I didn't understand quite as well because not enough time was spent on them.
However, overall the course was extremely good and now that I have completed it I have a good understanding of the basics of programming.
