This year was good and i wish it didn’t end. was fun building games so thats why i miss going here.

Really Amazing

Throughout this year I have become fascinated and intrigued at all the content and topics done here are Funtech. The teachers are amazing and the sessions are never boring.

my funtech year went

During this year of Funtech I had a good time learning new things that I did not know before, but the important thing is that I have a good time with everything.

Overall this corse has been great and really fun as well. If you are struggling they are always willing to help you, hinting an answer to you or re-explaining it. They make the learning fun by some times including game and I think its a good corse to try.

Good experience!

I have enjoyed Fun-tec quite a bit.
I even created my own project.
I now know how to use some GUI.
I have learnt quite a few things.
like... another way to publish a game.
I also now know some stuff about Lua coding.
I recommend that you give the roblox game developer lessons ago .

what we have learned

we learned whow to script and whow to make levels and make objects, like a swing or a door or a spring. and to make terain and to delte stuff nad to paint on maps. thats what we learned

Funtech is really awesome everyone is kind and it is very fun and the people that train explain very well and I understood everything and even built my own escape room game that is why I gave this 5 stars!

This course started with the basics, which was good. The tutor was really supportive and gave us time to complete each task.

Really enjoyed learning how to develop my 3D game

I really enjoyed doing the coding over the Easter break. I did the course with my sister and it was great fun working on our games.
I am looking forward to continuing to practise what I learnt on this course and hopefully doing another course soon.

Fantastic use of time

I really enjoyed doing the coding over the Easter break. I liked that the classes were held in the morning so I could still enjoy my Easter holidays in the afternoon.

My first virtual camp. I'll be back!

Funtech was very fun learning how to create "redstones" mechanisms and now I can apply those learnings in my own worlds. The teacher was very understanding and helpful throughout the lessons.

The course requires a bit of pre-installation to get going but the instructions were pretty clear and we were able to get going on time. Unfortunately the first half day was spent it seems with trying to get everyone else up to the same level. Once the course got going Jacob found it very simple and I often found him playing on his phone whilst waiting for others to catch up. The course did get more challenging for him but he always seemed to be sat around, waiting for others to catch up. This was the main disappointment for me, he is obviously more capable of going faster and have more challenging work set, but the course has to get everyone along at the same pace. Such a shame - he has the same issue at school, so not just a Funtech thing. But I feel that adding in extension exercises or bringing in concepts like test driven development, documentation generation, things like that would keep the more able engaged and off their phones.

I myself am in IT and thought the curriculum was a little light, and the stuff that they were coding, whilst teaching the basics, didn't seem to be engaging or exciting. Python has some great gaming libraries and graphics capabilities so it would have been good to see something at the end of the week where the students plot a graph or draw a pie chart or navigate a skier down a slope or similar.

But, at the end of the day, when asked, Jacob said he enjoyed the course and learned something new. And that's what it is all about. So no complaints - take the above as suggestions.

My child enjoyed the programme very much. What impressed me was when my child was late in attending one morning, one of the staff quickly called to check/remind.

I could see that he was engaging really well and focusing on the task at hand. The pace of the course was good and Omar made sure that he had plenty of time to devote to each student.

We had a couple of software issues during the week and these were dealt with very efficiently by Liam.

It would be good if you could send an email to parents at the end of the course with list of the useful links that were put in the chat area during the week. As you can imagine the kids do not bookmark these links and they would be very useful for parents to have.

We weren't convinced our daughter, aged 7, would stay engaged in the sessions but she wanted to do the course after watching her sister doing the course. She doesn't have a long attention span. During (school) home learning we noticed her getting bored and trying to avoid going to her online sessions. She loved her (FunTech) sessions, staying really focused we could hear her answering lots of the questions and creating some really cool mods.

She is really proud of her creations and has sent photos to her friends.

Her tutor was really helpful when the students had problems, answering questions and finding solutions. She's had a brilliant camp - thank you!

The course was great but what impressed me even more was FunTech's real desire to make sure that every child was on a course for their level, that they were enjoying it and were learning. It was genuine care not a case of taking your money and that was it. My son found his original course too challenging so the Fun Tech team got on the phone and rang me with suggestions for alternatives. They clearly wanted to make it a great experience for him. I wouldn't hesitate to book again with FunTech.
