Excellent camp that my child thoroughly enjoyed

My child attended a half term camp. It was really fun for her and she has developed a love of coding. She came out happy each day, and wants to do more!

3D Game Design

My 10-year old son attended this course each morning of half-term. He was a little apprehensive to begin with but the instructor (Sam) was very friendly and able and put him at ease. My son said that the lessons flew just like when he's actually gaming!

Roblox virtual camp

Hello Gabriele enjoyed the class especially last day when he had the chance to do a one to one lesson. He found in the beginning some difficulties to find the right buttons to press, perhaps is due to the fact that this was his first camp. Overall a nice experience. Let's see if he wants to join

Excellent first time on virtual course for 11yo

My son really enjoyed the Roblox Lua Coder course, part 1. He'd done a bit of Scratch coding at school and tried some other coding here and there, but this really taught him the fundamentals. The small group size meant he progressed fast, and he found the lessons engaging and fun. I highly recommend

Remote 3D Game Design

My son did the 3D Game Design course (remote). He really enjoyed it. Remote teaching seemed to work best for him but he would consider face to face in the future as he had a great time doing the course. The number of pupils seemed to work well and the tech held up nicely (no real issues throughou

Thoroughly enjoyed!

My son thoroughly enjoyed his week long half day Minecraft Mod Developer Part 1 virtual week and wants to book onto Part 2 during his next school holiday. Tutor was excellent. Giving the course 5 stars as all was very good indeed.

Really fun camp, recommend to anyone interested in designing 3D games :)

The camp was so entertaining for my daughter and she really liked it. She made some really cool games and showed them to me and I played them. It was a lovely camp and I feel like she learned a lot.

Excellent Half-Term Online Course

My son really enjoyed his half-term course with Funtech. The lessons were engaging and the instructor was wonderful. Erik is thrilled with the new skills he has developed and is really proud of the new game that he designed during the course.

Unfortunately, we suffered a power outage in our village and within minutes, the customer service team at FunTech were on the case and proactively reaching out to us parents to check everything was okay. Not only did they ensure that our kids didn’t fall behind during the outage, but they also made tutors available early the next day for an additional private catch up lesson. Just brilliant service, super friendly and great content! We will definitely be back for further courses in future holidays!

Python Level one course - brilliant!

Both of our kids attended the beginner, python course during the summer holidays. The instructor was great, coursework was varied and interesting. Both of our kids thoroughly enjoyed it!

My daughter had a most enjoyable time on the online Java course for 2 weeks of the school holidays. She found the course stretched her knowledge and skills, but was pitched at the right level so that she never thought she was out of her depth or falling behind.

This is the fourth or fifth virtual course she has done, in addition to a couple of day camps before the pandemic, and she has always enjoyed them and said that she learns a lot.

My son wasn't keen on doing this class in the beginning because he wanted to be on his ps5 all day but by day 2 he started to get into it. He said he enjoyed it and looking forward to signing up for Python Level 3

My son thoroughly enjoyed this course. He relished the challenge and we were very happy that he spent some of his summer holidays learning a new skill. The teacher was very good and communication with parents was excellent.

When I signed my daughter up for Minecraft Mod Developer 1, I was worried that 3.5 hours would be too long and she'd be bored and restless well before the end of the week. I couldn't have been more wrong! She was completely absorbed for every minute and by day 2 she was asking if she could do Part 2

I couldn't have been more wrong! She was completely absorbed for every minute and by day 2 she was asking if she could do Part 2. She's just completed that and she has loved every second :) It's been lovely hearing her chatting away whilst we're working and popping up in breaks to tell me what a brilliant time she's having. I'm amazed by what she's achieved and she's thrilled to bits with it all. She tells me the tutors have been lovely and really good at explaining how to do things and at helping them when they get stuck. She's thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the small group of other children on the course. The administration team have also been super friendly and very helpful. It's been great for us to be able to get on with our work knowing our daughter's happy and without needing to take her somewhere and pick her up. Both parents and daughter would highly recommend these courses. Thank you FunTech for a great couple of weeks :)

Thank you for a wonderful Game Design course. My 12 year old absolutely loved it. It sparked ideas and it was wonderful to see him experimenting and trying things after the session finished each day. This was our first attempt at an online camp and we will totally do it again. The instructor kept a great eye on all his pupils, and while he had videos to play he would stop them to explain and make sure everyone understood and no one was left behind. I was very impressed at how he coached 4-5 youngsters through fairly technical IT stuff. Having the virtual control of the desk top was brilliant.

I was originally a bit worried that I would have to stay with her the whole time to help her out when she became stuck- however I was pleasantly surprised she did the whole course without any assistance from myself at all. The tutor was excellent and managed to help her when she became stuck and my daughter said she really enjoyed the course and the biggest thing for me was I didn’t have to fight to get her to do it. I would def recommend for kids who love Roblox.

Great experience

My daughter has just completed a week of python coder level2 virtual course. It was a fairly last minute decision to book as I needed to use up some accumulated childcare vouchers that would expire on her 15th birthday (few months time). The booking system was straightforward and I was refunded once

It was a fairly last minute decision to book as I needed to use up some accumulated childcare vouchers that would expire on her 15th birthday (few months time). The booking system was straightforward and I was refunded once the vouchers had gone through.
The programs that were necessary to install prior to the course took around an hour- a little tricky due to the firewalls in the laptop.

The tutor was very professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Regular breaks given throughout the session, timings were perfect. A well organised course, thank you.

My 15 year old daughter enjoyed the experience and has asked to do the follow on course! She is pleased to have learnt a language that she will not be taught in school.

The teaching was good and the ration of 3-6 pupils meant that got the attention they needed.

I was surprised at the level of coding she was able to do by the end of the course and it fits really well with what she has been/ will be doing at school.

Thanks for a great course with our 10 year old son. It was his first online coding course and he loved it. The teacher kept him engaged and we were so impressed with our son's focus and astounded by what he managed to build within the week. It did exactly what it says on the tin and more, he is now super confident about building Roblox games and is continuing to build them. The structure was just right and the breaks well timed and the teacher was super patient with them all. Really recommend it and we look forward to completing more courses with Funtech.
