Funtech 2023 Unreal Engine Course

Very good course, explaining things very simply and cohesively. Also helped us whenever we required help, and was happy to look into things that we talked about. The assets were very useful and helped a lot

It was a good week, I found it pretty difficult tho. The tutor helped me a lot and without him i would have been lost after the first day.

i found this course really good and educational. I enjoyed the problem solving side of it and each lesson was challenging but fun . However i didn't think the end of term project options were good and on previous courses the were more fun

The tutor was super helpful and answered everyone's questions, and since we were ahead of schedule, we were even taught extra stuff! Most people were on 10 mins before the lesson started so we even got extra time.

It was a fun week overall. Enjoyed coding new projects using neural networks. Would recommend the course to people who are intrested in programming and AI.

I've been interested in coding for a while ever since I started in Python, so the obvious next option was Java. We decided the best way to do it would be via a summer camp in the holidays when I have nothing better to do, and we were right! We learned all the basic syntax and other base coding principles from other languages in Java, and got to work on lots of projects to test and develop on our skills. There was definitely sufficient learning for an introduction to Java, and I enjoyed it :)

Python OOP part 1 review

I have really enjoyed this part of the course and I have learnt a lot about OOP and it will improve my programming skills in the future. I think it could have been more challenging.

I wish I could give this a 4.5 stars because 5 means perfect and this is not perfect because one of the practise challenges wasn't presented very well so ye.

it was pretty good i learned alot and hopefully it all sticks with me and i can make use of it later on. i enjoyed lots of the topics. some harder ones were the turtle and i would like to learn more about that later. but all in all very good. sometimes though it does make you feel a little sleep...

The coding lessons seems well- structured, could be better to spend a bit time in each day to explain the learning objects and outcomes, and have a summary at the end of each lesson for study focus.

There are some teaching contents delivered by direct recorded videos, which seems not very effective and kids may think they are not very interesting. Hand-on projects are embedded in the lesson which is very good, maybe some blend in more quiz or mini games in a group setting could keep students more concentrated in the study.

Great! Would recommend!

Tutors are very good at teaching, and the course is very helpful and inclusive. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is £475 for an online call is quite expensive. otherwise, this was great!

My only issue is the python dev environment. It was a bit intrusive for the tutors to have full control of our home computer.

My son as a matter of principle and his age doesn’t have his own computer so has to use mine. Other providers use a virtual environment which has python embedded for similar courses.

I realy_enjoyd_it

I realy enjoyd making mods in mincraft_because there is so much stuff to make. I espeacily liked making mobs because you can make a health bar for it, you can make them realy strong/weak mobs. its so fun just making realy powerfull armor.

the camp was good but what I would change would be to be full day over 2 weeks of time of the camp the pace was good and Anderson was very kind and helpful.

The course was very informative and fun. I learnt a lot and using that knowledge at the end to create a project was very rewarding. However I found that not enough time was spend recapping the difficult topics. This made it so I had a very good understanding of most of the topics by the end but there were a few more complicated topics such as for loops which I didn't understand quite as well because not enough time was spent on them.
However, overall the course was extremely good and now that I have completed it I have a good understanding of the basics of programming.
