things was not how i expected at the start of the camp.

course was cool

I never got a headache from looking at the screen as there are multiple of breaks - we got to play football, basketball ectr and indoor games like mafia and card games .
I now know A lot more about programming then I did e.g for loops, lists, f strings, functions.
the staff are verry nice!!!

Minecraft Game Coder

I have enjoyed my time here. I never new how to code Minecraft until I got here. FunTech has helped me learn things I never thought I could do.

Was FunTech fun?

Funtech was really fun because you can learn to do stuff you never done in your life and you can make friends, do your own project and just have fun. Sure the start could be boring because you dont know anyone, but over time you'll make friends and learn how to do coding or game design.

I can now code things to make my game more fun.I also love to play minecraft.

it was very complicated but i understood it
it was also really fun making games and learning how to do:
lighting
geometry
landscaping
subtractive and additive shapes
foliage
physics and collision
practicing different levels

I liked the camp as the tutor didn't just tell us the answer but gave us a nudge on how to answer the questions. I gave it 4 stars as it was a very long 6 hours a day almost like a job sitting in front of a screen, but when I went to the funtech hq I met friends and in break interacted.

this was a good and including and i learnt lots of things but the thing we used can not be recreated on a normal laptop but instead you need either a computer or high-performance laptop. all of the tutors are kind. :)

I really enjoyed the course, because the break times were very fun and we went at a steady pace where leo our teacher helped us as well as vigas

I really enjoyed this camp as I got to learn java for the first time. It was a great experience where i was guided really well and everything was explained so that I left each lesson with a clear understanding of the topics taught. Overall it was great!

this year the coding we did got more challenging and i found that really good as i got to challenge myself. the last project we did was also really interesting and i enjoyed seeing everything iv learnt being put in a code and seeing it work. overall it was a nice and fun.

They have lots of experienced coders that are always ready to provide you with a better understanding about each topic that you are finding difficulties with. FunTech is a well-established tech company with a variety of courses. For instance, PureCoder, TechPro, and Summer Camps. I've been a FunTech student for 5 years, since Winter 2020. It had never disappointed me. Rather, it has been quite fascinating, learning new coding techniques and topics that will help you in the future if you are interested in Computer Science.

The topics learnt this term were more difficult than the ones we've learnt earlier, but the videos given added an explanation on how to go about the programs. The dijkstra one was something I found to be challenging, however my tutor made sure I understood it with time. The edit-its helped as they showed me how to correct errors in a program or what to add. The questions at the beginning of every session helped recap what we learnt previously, enabling me to move forward. Furthermore, my the screen-share allowed my tutor to help me which I found to be useful especially with longer pieces of code.

As good as 3hr lessons during the holidays can get

This course is great for improving your python skills and logical thinking. Quite challenging but still fun if your program works. I enjoyed making a hangman game at the end.

The first 2 days of learning 3# were a bit tricky but I really enjoyed the course overall. Learning how to programme/design 2D games in Unity have been really interesting.

my experience

even though python is tricky my tutor was still really helpful and would make sure i understand it and was overall a good tutor and the activities were cool to thank you.

Unity game coder

I learnt a lot of the basics of unity to make games easily.

python is good

basics of python coding explained and taught well to me, i can now program a range of things independently in python. not too overwhelming as well because i can take everything step by step and eventually build up to the big project at the end

I loved it.
