The overall course was fun.
There were parts that were a bit boring but when learning something there always is.
I enjoyed making the games the most.
Especially the rock,paper scissors and the end of course games.

In "Fun typer", the website they use, fun typer is interactive, educational and makes you want to improve your speeds and typing. The younger kids struggle with this though. It is a good camp,fun but one improvement would be not using Laptops.

This course is middling (in my opinion) for a one main reason: the first few days of content were boring. There's no way around, days one and two, and parts of day 3, consisted of copying code of the board and being told things. However, the final two days were excellent, and I had plenty of freedom to have fun. Despite this, while I learnt a lot of concepts related to AI and neural networks, I didn't learn much specific coding. On the other hand, the tutors were very helpful and approachable (even when my question had little to do with AI as opposed to coding in general), had great taste in music (which they played during boring stretches to create atmosphere), and were happy to slightly adjust the schedule so that I could learn most of the important code despite a dentist appointment, and managed to make a accommodations for my Autism and ADHD that didn't affect other students. Break and Lunchtimes were frequent ut not excessive, and hugely reduced stress- not to mention the fun (but optional) activities (such as dodgeball and capture the flag) during lunchtimes. However, break/lunchtimes were, despite the tutor's best efforts, were still somewhat noisy/stressful. Overall: 8/10 for fun (due to somewhat stressful break/lunchtimes), 5/10 for tech (due to me learning little actual code).

This course is not quite as fun as i expected

Unfortuatly i felt that this course did not manage my expectations for it and i found that the lunch break was way too long and the breaks in between working times were too frequent.

Course was a bit over complicated, and explaining videos didnt really explain anything.

This was our first time at a FunTech residential camp, although my kids have been going to sleep-away camps for years.
Competent, well-trained staff and very nice facility.
For the price I was expecting more: surprised that it wasn’t a full week (5 nights only); no swag (typically a camp will send you home with a t-shirt or water bottle—my son only got a silicone bracelet.
FunTech could have at least included a USB which would have been on-brand instead of have kids bring their own); and the communication wasn’t great—the email published in the brochure was outdated and I called the number and left a message, but no one answered or replied.
Overall it was a good week of coding for my son but operations could be improved, especially given the price tag.

I loved it but also not

We had to sit in the hot sun and had way too many breaks. Although the staff were really nice.

ok course

the course was pretty fun altogether. what let it down was the reinforcement of some of the skills because i felt like i didn't get enough time to reinforcement some of the skills until near the end of the course.

My Children have enjoyed the courses at Funtech and although expensive I think they are worth it. Their Computer Support Guy Lucas is amazing and helps download the programmes the children need. My only gripe is all messages are all on the website so you will get a text message on your phone that only tells you to go to the portal to read the message which is just frustrating and then once completed the course they do not print out certificates and post which it would be nice to have a proper certificate on headed paper, and even requested they don't accommodate.

it was fun but to be honest i knew like 9/10 of this stuff. most of this stuff i know and i didnt rally learn much. the funtech people are nice though and i did have a great time - but just no on the learning.

I got quite bored because of how long it was each day (8hrs) but they did well to keep me motivated, (by giving us counters and the counters were exchanged for gift cards depending on how many we had).

Lego Robotics

I found this course very fun and would suggest it to any kids aged 5-10! I learned a lot about how to create and code the Lego robots as well as trying to get out of mazes and more. The game outside was one of the highlights as we played capture the flag, chicken, hero, twin etc.. :)

The course is Very good but there were a few issues with my wifi and pycharm across the course. We played games in breaks and we thought there was a demon haunting the internet and causing the issues! Would recommend to everyone.

I liked playing the racing course and the obby. I made a rainbow world. I liked when we went outside and played with my friends. I learned how to negate, union and separate. I had a harder time than everyone because I was the youngest. bye bye!

the funtech coding course was enjoyable although there were a few downsides on the way. i really liked my teacher and he was fun and creative i feel like pace was a little to quick. the people there were interesting at first i did not want to do the course but by the end of it i felt like i had grown confidence in coding. i would highly recommend over holidays when there is not much to do.
