Both my 10 year old and 7 year old completed the Roblox Designer camp this summer, after my eldest completed Minecraft Mod developer last year. They were delighted with the content, learned a lot and couldn’t contain their enthusiasm to show me their designs at the end of each day. Needless to say, they are already discussing which Funtech course to do next. Staff were friendly and helpful and the girls loved their instructors. Look forward to next summer!

Thanks for a great course with our 10 year old son. It was his first online coding course and he loved it. The teacher kept him engaged and we were so impressed with our son's focus and astounded by what he managed to build within the week. It did exactly what it says on the tin and more, he is now super confident about building Roblox games and is continuing to build them. The structure was just right and the breaks well timed and the teacher was super patient with them all. Really recommend it and we look forward to completing more courses with Funtech.

Interesting course with great instructors

The technical learning was complemented by interesting and new (e.g. scuba diving) group activities, encouraging social interactions. The instructors prevented distraction by locking away his phone and restricting web access.

Our son completed part 1 and part 2 of this new course. While there were, as one would expect, few teasing moments, the overall experience was positive, the Funtech team worked very efficiently and any troubleshooting required was smooth and speedy. Fantastic learning experience

Ethan loved the Java coding course from day 1. The instructor Kevin was absolutely fantastic - friendly, helpful and regularly checking progress etc.
The pace was perfect and my son thoroughly enjoyed his course.

James, aged 12, has had, yet again, a super week with Fun Tech this time on AI learning, He has been coding for chatbots, face recognition, landmark detection to name a few. He really liked his teacher and was kept stimulated and engaged for the course. Great work, FunTech! Keep it up!

My son did the Minecraft and Roblox camps for the second time and he loved every minute. The instructors were fun, attentive and very switched on. My son has already asked me to book for next time. Thank you Funtech!

Cybersecurity Hackathon

This was great for my daughter of 16yrs. It was very engaging. She came home feeling tired. She learnt about vulnerabilities and a bit about using linux and VMs and networking. The instructors were good.

Excellent IT camp

My son did 3D Game Design developer course this week.
He enjoyed it and was engaged everyday.
He felt tired after the full day.
Perhaps longer breaks for full day course might be considered.
I will definitely recommend the camp to friends and colleagues.

Great day camp in the heart of the City!

My daughter really enjoyed the day camp. One of the things I really like, is that kids have physical activities alongside coding/time spent in front of a screen. They also have lunch outside, which is brilliant! Staff are very friendly and respectful. I would absolutely recommend FunTech to anyone

My son thoroughly enjoyed his camp

My son has already asked if he can do another Funtech camp next year. He learnt a great deal in a week and wants to carry on using Python. The tutor to pupil ratio was excellent and the instruction very helpful. We felt the camp overall was well run and a safe place for our child to be.

I was slightly concerned he'd come back a computer zombie after an 8-hour day building mods, but he was energised, and his mind was on fire with ideas when he got home. Every time I came to collect him, the staff were hands-on, helping the children and were really personable. My son said it was one of his favourite bits about the camp, talking to the staff. My son took a one week virtual camp on Python. He absolutely loved it and learned lots.
At then end of each day, he could not wait to tell me all about it, every detail!
It was a small group and the tutor was also very engaging. Great experience which I recommend.

This was a great course for our son. He has done the previous two levels and he created a game putting together all the items learnt previously. It was fantastic to see the enthusiasm and the fun he had over a week. Great course, great set up, good teacher. Flawless! I fully recommend it!

Endless hours of fun

Our son is a huge Minecraft fan, but had never been intrigued to attend any camp until this one. He loved every second of it and is begging to take Part 2!

I thought 3.5hrs might be too long but if his attention did wander the tutor was great at pulling him back in. We had one incident where he got upset and wouldn’t talk to anyone. The tutor Christopher discreetly contacted head office who called me repeatedly until I answered. This was hugely appreciated and I felt the team really cared. I was working from home so was then able to go and get my child sorted. 200% recommend! We will be back for the advanced level camp soon.

Hackathon Review

My daughter enjoyed Hackathon very much and felt that she learned a lot during that week. The staff and the instructors were wonderful. My only issue with the Barbican location is that they were stuck indoors the entire day due to the lack of outdoor space. It happened to be one of the hottest weeks

Ideally, it would have been great to have some proper screen breaks outside, but I understand why that was difficult, given the location.

My son took part in the 3D Game design virtual week course. He thoroughly enjoyed it, and was engaged throughout and has developed new skills and confidence while completing the course. On the final day doing their individual projects it would have been nice for the students to have enough time to show each other their game design to see how others had used the course to develop their own game ideas. Overall, the course was a huge success and I would definitely recommend it to those interested in game design.
