Despite being a non-native English speaker, our little girl managed to have fun and learn a lot. In the evening, she came home with a lot of enthusiasm and was proud to share what she had learned on her laptop with us. We were pleasantly surprised by the seriousness of the course organization, and we believe our daughter will repeat the experience next year.

Great Day camp

Huge thanks to the whole team as ever for this camp, first my daughter has tried it. Her confidence grew considerably, I asked her how it compared to other holiday day camps and apparently there is no comparison, this is the best by a long way!

Java

Lyndon thoroughly enjoyed Part 2 of the Java course and learned lots. As ever, Funtech was extremely well organised and run. There is a great offering of courses and the flexibility of virtual and in person courses is fantastic, as well as being able to swap dates around. Thanks again Funtech!!

Excellent course, my child found it fun and engaging and enjoyed learning a new skill. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

Great fun

My son did the redstone engineer course and it was great to see him learn and enjoy something so much. It's a great alternative to the many sports holiday camps out there.

Class group was small and friendly, he had no trouble making friends.

Bethan & Zara thoroughly enjoyed the Python OOP 2 course last week. The content was educational & enriching while not being too difficult. The tutor (Jed) articulated concepts very well. The small class size made the atmosphere of the classroom peaceful and calm. The balance of indoor and outdoor break was well structured and organised. During break time, the tutors & coordinators played games outside with the children to keep them active throughout the day.
We will definitely try to look for another summer day camp wth Fun Tech at the Barbican location.

My son did the Lua Coder Roblox course at Tonbridge School. The materials provided were really clear. My son found it a good challenge and as the week went on found the work and use of language clearer.

The structure of the day was designed really well. With opportunities to chat to other course goers and get involved in well structured games away from the screens.

The course tutors were really relatable and knew their subject really well.

My son would love to sign up to another course in the future but most importantly he’s able to practise what he’s learnt and create his own worlds on Roblox!

Python OOP at Barbican

The course was very good, learned a lot with good support from the teacher and had fun in the break times playing games and sports. There was good bonding with a nice group size - nice that parents could join to see the final projects - thanks Funtech!

Lego Mindstorms

My child had a great time all week long. I’m so impressed with how much she learnt!

funtech is great

funtech taught me a lot of things in about unity, I know a lot more than I did before and it did a really good job at getting me started with the engine. I learnt about components, sprites, c#, game objects and lots more.

I would highly recommend!

This camp was the best experience for a Part 2 course ever! Again this course covers the same as Python Coder P2, and that meant this was an opportunity for me to do things I never did before! The tutor is so much fun to be around, kind, forgiving, encouraging funny, and all the positive words I could ever think of!
I had a blast doing Java, and I can 100% guarantee you will too!

I've had a very fun week and have learned lots. If I didn't understand anything it was explained to me until I did. I felt okay to ask questions even if I was the only one. I think this course will have really help me in the future.

i found it very fun and useful even though i knew lots of stuff from school i learnt new stuff and got better at the things i already knew, if i every got stuck it was really easy for the teacher to show me were i went wrong. over all i thought it was amazing. thank you

I liked this camp because it helped me inspire for my GCSEs in Year 10. This has helped me a lot also because in Computer Science, I would get a huge head-start.

Staff super supportive. I really enjoyed this week. The staff Hibah, Lara, Ryan, and Mark where super lovely and fun to be around, with our tutors being Hibah and Lara. Both were super fun to learn with and very, very, good-natured throughout the whole week. I feel that my touch typing skills have really improved and im more confident in my typing ability. The group I was in was a group of 5, this made learning and individual help a lot easier and the week was mainly very chill. Lovely outdoor space to have lunch and breaks in, and a good balance of organised activity's and free time running around. Thank you so much to Hibah and Lara for such a fun and productive week.
