i found the week quite challenging but i had lots of fun coding stuff i have never done before and it was very interesting and tricky, however, our teacher always helped us when we needed it. some stuff were hard and some stuff were easier than others

The course provided me with a solid foundation in game development, specifically in creating stunning 3D environments and immersive gameplay using Unreal Engine.

One of the standout aspects of this course was the instructor's expertise and teaching style. They were extremely knowledgeable about Unreal Engine and had a knack for simplifying complex concepts, making them easy to understand and implement. Their explanations were clear and concise, which helped me grasp the fundamentals quickly.

The course structure was well-organized, with each module building upon the previous one. It covered a wide range of topics, including level design, character creation, animation, and scripting. I appreciated the hands-on approach, as it allowed me to apply the concepts I learned in real-time. I really enjoyed this week. It taught me a lot of new things I will most likely use in the future. When I didn’t understand something, the teachers helped me understand it, especially the blueprints when they went through it with me in a whole new way

Python OOP part 1 review

I have really enjoyed this part of the course and I have learnt a lot about OOP and it will improve my programming skills in the future. I think it could have been more challenging.

I wish I could give this a 4.5 stars because 5 means perfect and this is not perfect because one of the practise challenges wasn't presented very well so ye.

Last year I had no idea how to code a thing, coming to Funtech, I now know so much to do with coding. Last year I had no idea how to code a thing, coming to Funtech, I now know so much to do with coding. Funtech has given me an opportunity to create games, draw things using a mouse, and learn how to define functions all by code. I now realise that there is so much to coding. My favourite part of the course purecoder level 1 was when we had to edit an adventure game where the user has to make decisions to be safe and get through the jungle. Or using turtle. I just think it would be a little bit better if they gave us online notes or PDFs to hold onto with all of what we have learnt. Overall, I have learnt a lot from the Funtech course and I would recommend it to other children who want to start learning how to code.

I enjoyed this course and my favourite topic was Adobe Photoshop, as I learnt lots of things I can use in school and in general for editing photos. It was difficult to use at the start and very easy to get confused, but now I can make and edit photos. I liked Illustrator and the skills we learnt were very useful, we made logos and icons and tutor feedback was very beneficial. Animate was fun to do as it was more artistic and creative, whereas Dreamweaver was less creative and more thinking. Dreamweaver was really interesting and cool to build websites! Dreamweaver could be difficult at times but my tutors were very patient and helped me to understand the concept. When we did Word and Excel, I already new lots of things but I learnt far more and fin the skills we learnt very useful. Databases was interesting and could be difficult to follow and understand but once you knew what you were doing it was fine. Finally it was SQL, which was very hard to understand at times but my tutors really helped!

The year was overall really fun and although at some points difficult it worked out at the end.

A Great Introduction to C++

Throughout the year we learnt all the essentials of C++ in an engaging way and it is a great basis to go off for future personal projects. You are always able to ask questions or ask for extra help/clarification when needed.

FunTech puts the f in fun

I had a great time and I most enjoyed getting familiar with the key board because it also got me in the top 5 in fastest typing in my class, we even made fully functional video games!

PCO1 with Funtech - Good Course

I have enjoyed funtech this term and have understood the topics.

Word/Excel/SQL

I have really enjoyed working on word excel and MySQL this year . I found word the easiest and MySQL the most challenging but also fun at the same time.

I have found FunTech amazing so far. I have found that it has taught me very well and that the teachers have been kind, patient and very helpful. Thank You FunTech!

Quite a good course.

This has been a truly fun course slightly challenging but not to much my favorite part was probably doing the turtle coding , parameters , functions and list.
Both tutors where great and helped me understand new concepts. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this course.

Pure coder Review

I have had this class for a school year and I have really enjoyed these clases and hope I can continue next year. In this year we have done clases, tkinter, dijkstra and much more. I have lerned a lot with my teacher.

This course is great for learning how to code games on python using pygame; It would be recommended to have completed both PC01 and PC02 before starting this course as a fluent understanding of python is necessary. I started out not knowing how to even start pygame to making an online, multiplayer game at the end of the year from just weekly sessions. Funtech ensures that you know everything included within the scope of the course; they do many skills-checks, quizzes and recaps so that everyone has a solid understanding and leaving no-one behind. I had lots of fun learning to make games and I find that I still use these skills outside of Funtech for my own projects; it was great!

The coding lessons seems well- structured, could be better to spend a bit time in each day to explain the learning objects and outcomes, and have a summary at the end of each lesson for study focus.

There are some teaching contents delivered by direct recorded videos, which seems not very effective and kids may think they are not very interesting. Hand-on projects are embedded in the lesson which is very good, maybe some blend in more quiz or mini games in a group setting could keep students more concentrated in the study.

Great! Would recommend!

Tutors are very good at teaching, and the course is very helpful and inclusive. The only reason it isn't 5 stars is £475 for an online call is quite expensive. otherwise, this was great!
