Useful skill to learn and interesting games

The teachers were kind and interested in us, and I learned how to touch type pretty well, although the games could become quite repetitive. All of the learning came from the computers and games.

AWESOME!!!

This camp is really good and i really recommend it but the only thing I would say is they need to update their software because it often crashes but it is REALLY COOL AND FUN.

I loved the teaching methods, the explanations needed to be listened to 2 times to get it or at least I did. Although I think that we should have a little bit more free-time.

Fun tech is really good. I have really enjoyed the course and though it can be a bit slow some times, it is a very good quality course.
The staff are kind and helpful as well as funny.
It has given me a good understanding of the basic components of programs and coding in java.
It is a really good place to sharpen up existing skills and developing new ones.
I made loads of friends and it is an experience I will not forget.

FUNtech

I really enjoy Funtech and I really recommend it for anybody who wants to learn something new about computers.
Also you can have a real laugh with some of the teachers like Olly and Francis

I really enjoy Funtech and I really recommend it. If you want to learn something new about computers, create robots and mods, have a website and more , this is the place to go.

Really hard, but fun and very useful

Java coder was REALLY hard, but amazing and you learn a lot, even though it's from 9a.m. till 5p.m. for five days a week and the teachers are really nice.

The course was a lot of fun and I would review it to anyone wanting to learn how tom make there own game. The program used wasn't the best as it kept crashing and its doesn't provide the user with many graphical options

Great Camp!

The Minecraft redstone camp was very fun and educational. The course is excellent and the teachers are very nice. The things you can learn seems hard but in reality it is exceedingly fun.

Java coder

Java coder was very hard but there were two very funny tutors who were there for you when you were stuck.I thought we would be making a game with graphics so when i found out we were making a card game on Java it was a bit of a let dawn

In my utmost opinion, it was very good, also the teachers were very good at helping me, especially nick and patricia. In addition, the residential camps were excellent and the lunch time and afternoon activities were excellent. However it could be slightly more fast paced

This course was REALLY REALLY REALLY GOOD the only thing that let it down was the food but over than that this course is super good the beds are comfortable if you are considering this course

As the oldest child on the 3d game design, I found this enjoyable.
PROS:
Simba (the lion king as he calls himself) was quite amusing.
We made some cool games with the program.
This course made me make up my mind to buy GameGuru (an updated version of the same game with more features)
Teaches you skills for life (if you use Unreal Engine, Unity or GameGuru).
CONS:
The program (FPS creator classic) had bad graphics and had a tendency to crash.
Not worth £500, more like at most £400ish.
VERDICT
Overall I think this is worth going to, the most notable flaw being the amount of money it costs to come to.

I really enjoyed the camp. I definitely learnt a lot from the camp and everyone was very friendly and helpful. I would've liked a bit more of a variety in the days but overall it was very enjoyable and I felt a sense of accomplishment after completing tasks.

Java Coder

An excellent course for those wanting to start or refresh their knowledge of Java.
It's a great basis for people looking to do later projects such as Minecraft mods.
Would recommend this course.

I think this course had been very fun and I got loads of help when I needed it. I think Pierre was very funny and made everything fun. I learnt a lot when doing this. Even though it was tough

Fun, but can be confusing

Java Coder is fun, but some times the exercises can be very confusing, (e.g. Pythagoras) but otherwise it's a fun experience, and I will probably come back to do other camps.

I loved being there. the atmosphere was great and the teachers (especially markus) were "fun" and encouraging. I was annoyed about the early wake up times but that was minor. I would love to return and and to carry on the coder camp.

It was great!

The stuff we learn was great, and the tutors were really understanding, but it could have gone a bit faster and gone into more complex code, though I understand that some students had to go at their own pace.

I loved the course and the teaching ability was very good. It was all very interesting and I really enjoyed it. My teacher Joe teaches well and was always keen to answer my questions. The content itself was very challenging and I enjoyed all of it except for the repetitive questions on cards which came up every day slightly different and was quite boring. Other than that it was a very enjoyable and Joe gave me interesting challenges when I finished earlier than the rest of the group. I would recommend the course to other people.

I've enjoyed this experience at Fun Tech Summer Camps. I have learned a lot about 3D game design and how it functions. I have also enjoyed the teaching the tutor has provided as he definitely one of the most entertaining I have had for quite some time. Though that being I can tell he doesn't have the best experience. I prefer to take my time when it comes to experiences such as this but I feel as if it was all rushed down and taken too fast (though that might be due to large amount of content contained within the course) and the program given to us wasn't without its flaws. Though all that aside I still enjoyed the course and will consider coming back next year next year and seeing as the program is being replaced by a superior one next year.

I really liked the Minecraft Redstone course. We worked with real life logic and then got to create all the parts in Minecraft. Even though it is sort of like a school lesson it was all fun and you learn a lot of new things you most likely didnt know!

I love this course because it makes us learn new codes but makes it fun and easy to enjoy. If you love minecraft you'll love this. If you love coding and a bit of a challenge you'll love this too. So much fun to change a game we all love into something unique but nothing too easy or hard.
