In the first couple days of the funtech course I was struggling quite badly and I asked the tutors for some help. They were really kind as they taught me certain code that I did not understand. As I went through each unit everyday, I started to remember some more complex code. Each day was more fun than the day before. I really recommend this course, you will become a better coder.

FunTech review

The course was really fun and beneficial to my knowledge of coding Python. However, for the past 3.5 days, we have just been coding games, which can get fairly boring after you have coded the majority of games.

I attended the Python OOP L2 Camp online, in the five-consecutive-day format. During this online camp, I learned a lot about Python. The content was evenly spread out throughout the past five days. The topics were interesting: as we studied deep subjects like data structures or GUIs (Graphical User Interfaces). The instructor took the time to help each student, and he was very supportive of each of us. The projects were enjoyable, as they were designed to have us take a game back at the end of the day. One negative point though, would be that the program is at times very dense, which means that following it isn't very easy, and the projects are quite hard, especially on the last day.

I really enjoyed this camp and I learned a lot about python. I did not like working with tkinter but that was mainly personal preference. After learning how to use tkinter it was very fun but learning all the fundementals was a bit boring. Anderson was great :D. He really helped me with my code and answered all my questions. On the last day I would have prefered to just focus on doing projects all day instead of doing the "fixit" challenges, they were not as fun.

It was very fun.

I loved the last day I was extremely challenged and it was great. The residential building was great as it has USB port and a game room. The course was fun and informative.

I really enjoyed my camp and I enjoyed learning more about Python and improving my skills.
I especially enjoyed the final day where we made our own projects and put everything we had learnt together.
However, the only thing I was unsure about was the maths as it was a bit full on, so I would structure it by having the maths spread out more and the more interesting things spread out.
But other than that, it was great!

My week at Funtech was great! we learnt how to code lots of stuff and publish our games. The only thing I would change is the stuff that Funtech Pre-makes.

I had a good time because the I loved doing the coding and activity's.

pros: great teacher (very patient) interesting topic, and lots of linux skills learnt.

cons: annoying kids in the class and in the break room , needed more managing.(2 break rooms) Computers could be ridiculously slow at times, otherwise the course was great.

The camp was super fun.
The tutorial videos were a bit lagy though and for the metasploit exercises it didn't specify what we had to do which made our teacher very confused and frustrated. Overall great camp.

The teachers were quite fun but I can still speedrun champion island faster than Lem haha. 15 minutes is soo slow L. Thank you for teaching us how to code.

On the first day I was very nervous but as it progressed I felt better and better. I made friends and thought the coding overall was good. They are very creative and the projects are very fun. It was more fun than work.

I had a very enjoyable experience. I completed the residential hackathon course and it was really worth while. We learnt about the Linux operating system, ad the basics of its operations. I learnt a lot and hope to use my newly learned knowledge later on in life.

I have to say the entertainment and social side of the course wasn't completely tailored for slightly older kids 14-16, but I did make friends and thoroughly enjoyed the time. Tutors were FAB!.

Once again I recommend this course, for the experience gained along with the course learning.

The course was challenging but at the same time very rewarding for when you were able to solve the problems.
