DOESN'T TEACH ALL

The course only covered a few codes and building techniques, they didn't say how to make items or NPCs so overall not too bad.

It was really fun

this was a fun course even though we did not see each other face to face but it is still really fun to do. I love it because it teaches you really well.

I think the Fun Tech course Is very good because you get to make all kinds of things like doors race tracks codes and lots more! I would definitely recommend this camp to my Roblox loving friends because you can create a obby and they give you lots of cool code. In over words I loved the camp.

I really loved this camp. During the first 2 days, we had some serious problems with the virtual machine, but Mr.Alexander (we chose to call him that) never got frustrated once. We found out our WIFI was the problem, and we could never really get it fixed. But, instead of getting angry or frustrated, Alex really helped us, offering to do it on his computer with us telling him what to do instead of giving up. He always stopped to let us take notes when we were watching videos and was overall really helpful.

Good, but could be better

I liked the course, and the teachers were nice, but our teacher for the second week was, I think, worse that our one for the first. Our tutor for the second week wasn't as good at the actual teaching of the course, but was good at helping with the final activity (make your own code).

I liked the games that we made especially the Pong game i liked to play it with my family and the maze it was fun to do that game.

Great Time

We had a great time and the tutors are very helpful and made it super fun. We did fun things and they explained everything very well. They would help everyone and the videos we were showed were super helpful. I would do a course with FunTech again :)

I learnt a lot of beginner python in the two week course and am looking forward to learn advanced/ intermediate python soon. I enjoyed the camp. At the end of the week I made a RPG game and a Password + Username operated system for searching students report at a school. You should take this course if you want to learn beginner python and I think it is very useful for moving on to harder coding and it gives you a head start at school.

It was fun!

I like how we can make our computer do something. I like this class because the teacher can answer my questions and explain it properly. I also like this class because there are videos so that we can understand the lesson better. I'm sad that this is my last coding class.

I am really interested in game development, and love playing Roblox, so I thought I would try this camp. I thought correct! Koni helped me and my fellow peers to understand the basics of Roblox game development and by the end I had made a game I was proud of. Thank you FunTech!

Very Fun Camp

This camp was VERY fun!! I learned a lot, like how to negate, union, do effects, and code in Lua script. I would rate this camp the highest possible rating.

However, what would have otherwise been a great 2nd week of the course was overshadowed by the lack of interest and enthusiasm by the Tutor who was constantly forgetting what he was teaching, encou...

To give credit where credit is due, the first week was quite a productive week and I learned a lot. However, what would have otherwise been a great 2nd week of the course was overshadowed by the lack of interest and enthusiasm by the Tutor who was constantly forgetting what he was teaching, encountering issues with his own code and when asked for help in something as simple as maximizing the screen, he lied to me about it not being possible in the language even though later on in the day, I had found that it was indeed possible. It was so evident that he was uninterested As a Tutor who I hope to learn not only the game (that is taught in the course) from, but also other basic information that is required for me to understand the foundation of pygame, his knowledge of how, what and why regarding the language itself was so poor that I ended up having to rely on the internet for help, more than him during the course. Despite there not being enough experience and knowledge of the Tutor at his end, the most frustrating part was towards the end of the course when instead of helping anyone with their code at all, he spent over 90% of the lesson fixing a technical hardware error at another student's end which meant that towards the end of the course where there was no source material (e.g videos) and we were 100% reliant on the tutor himself, he simply wasn't available and the saddest part of it all is, even if he was, I doubt he would have any idea of how to help us with our code. I came into this course with high expectations which, in the beginning, were getting fulfilled, but the second half of the course ruined it for me.

Also, there has been a technical issue where during one particular session, the Tutor had forgotten to turn off my screen sharing which lead to my wallpaper being permanently changed to black. Do I just simply change my wallpaper or is there a fix to the issue which reverts the computer to how it was before the screen sharing?

I've thoroughly enjoyed every day of the Python Game Developer course, as I've learnt new skills, created a personalised game, and had fun whilst doing it. The resources available are great, and the extension tasks that are provided are useful to secure the knowledge I've learnt. Overall, the factor that has impressed me most is the quality of the tutoring; they're always available and willing to help with the tasks or extension projects, are very patient with the younger members of the groups, and occasionally stay on overtime to help with tricky concepts or go beyond what is taught in the course. All in all, an amazing experience all round!

It is great

It is really good and great as you get to make your own game which is really cool. You can also choose what you want to do with it sometime which makes your game nice and unique.

fun experiance

although we are experiencing a hard time due to the pandemic, the FunTech crew has brushed it of and have managed to make the camps just as fun despite only virtual courses being allowed. They have done a great job and deserve big credit for giving me a really fun two weeks.

It was good, I made a rip off Mario game. Joe was nice and showed us some useful websites and was generally good. I made a plat-former game too.

Excellent as usual

I truly enjoyed this course as it built on my limited experience of Python at school. All tutors our class had were patient, forgiving and humoured. Thank you so much for the experience and I would reccomend Funtech to anybody who wants to learn skills on technology for later life.
