An enjoyable and worthwhile week

Our son really enjoyed the virtual camp for a week of coding. He learned loads and had fun too.

The tutor managed to balance the amount of learning without it feeling overwhelming being online all day.

My only issue is the python dev environment. It was a bit intrusive for the tutors to have full control of our home computer.

My son as a matter of principle and his age doesn’t have his own computer so has to use mine. Other providers use a virtual environment which has python embedded for similar courses.

Hello, our son participated in the 2-week Roblox - Game Developer virtual camp this summer.

We were very pleased with the course. Our son thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it!

FunTech staff are always very efficient and quick to follow up if we have any questions. Even the preparation ahead of the course works very well with helpful staff at hand to support us.

We will definitely be enrolling our son to more camps. Perhaps Residential next time as we have full confidence in team at FunTech!

My daughter found the Indie Game Developer Camp very interesting and it has inspired her to consider developing further her skills in game design and development. The size of the class was small (3 children). The tutor was excellent! She was knowledgeable, greatly able at passing that knowledge at the level required by the students and made the whole experience fun and enjoyable.

I should also add that the technical support was, as usual, pro-active and very helpful whether in the computer set up stage or during the camp period.

Thank you ever so much to the Funtech Team for making the camp such as a valuable and positive experience for my daughter.

I loved learning all the new things about minecraft redstone

I realy enjoyd making mods in mincraft_because there is so much stuff to make. I espeacily liked making mobs because you can make a health bar for it, you can make them realy strong/weak mobs. its so fun just making realy powerfull armor.

Python gamecoder review

Teacher was great, very good at helping with issues and balanced between all people in the class. Everything was taken at a good pace and if you ever felt like it was too slow there was available extensions which we could get done.

Learnt a lot and it was overall a great experience.

I think learning the code was interesting and the way the videos and such were formatted made it a lot easier to understand what we were doing and the teacher was very helpful for explaining what I had done wrong and how to fix it. my main problem was the length of the lessons because although we had 3 15 minute breaks a lesson it just felt like the lesson dragged on and many time I was yearning for the end of the lesson but other than that it was quite interesting to see how programming works and very satisfying when it did.

A very fun and entertaining activity!

The teacher was really nice and our course (Minecraft coding) was very interesting. We got to make games wit code and it taught us skills that we could apply to other coding games too. The other people were really nice and it was taught at a great pace so you can keep up.

The course was very informative and fun. I learnt a lot and using that knowledge at the end to create a project was very rewarding. However I found that not enough time was spend recapping the difficult topics. This made it so I had a very good understanding of most of the topics by the end but there were a few more complicated topics such as for loops which I didn't understand quite as well because not enough time was spent on them.
However, overall the course was extremely good and now that I have completed it I have a good understanding of the basics of programming.

An Amazing Lesson

i really enjoyed these lessons i learnt much more than i did at my school. The teacher helped us and explained to us everything in a way we would understand. i really liked my teacher he was nice, funny and helpful. I learnt a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Throughout the course I feel like my general python skills have improved and the whole experience has been really fun.
My favourite project was Hangman which I could only do through the skills I learnt on the course.
Creating graphics has been something I always wanted to do on python and now I know how.
My funtech tutor went above and beyond to make this an awesome experience, letting us use code to make a Geometry Dash game in the final session.
Overall being on this course has been a worthwhile experience and I would like to come back for a course another time.

I found this course enjoyable and fun. I was able to learn so many things that I can do in python. I was even able to make my own game at the end of the course. I recommend this course to any beginner that wants to start using python.

For us there was no option to do a residential or day camps as we live abroad now so the virtual course gave him the opportunity to do something that he loves in his mother tongue.

He enjoyed so much that he is currently doing another one!

I cannot speak highly enough about FunTech. What an absolutely awesome company that helps children and teens with coding and tech.

They have a range of courses (although you have to book early) that I wish I had when I was younger. But my ten year old daughter joined for a two week's session on 3D Game Designing using Unreal Engine over the summer and she loved it.

She has been learning python coding since she was six so it was nice for her to do something different. And even though she had a wobble in the middle of the course, the company was absolutely fantastic and supported her with some one to one private lessons to get her to the end.

My daughter wrote: "To Connor. Thank you for giving me 1 to 1s to help me understand Unreal Engine. I really appreciate it. I am really happy with the end result of my game and I am hoping to add many more levels and upgrade my current ones to make my game way more interesting."

@Sheineez Barber I applaud you for setting up such an awesome company and excellent customer service.

As a result, I have shared with many friends and I will book Georgie onto her next course soon and every year from here on. 10 out of 10...

I couldn't recommend this company highly enough.

Felix had a brilliant time on the Minecraft Mod course. He'd never done anything like this before and we were a bit worried that it would be too much for him or not engaging enough to keep him seated but he was up at the crack of dawn every morning raring to go. The course was well structured...

Felix had a brilliant time on the Minecraft Mod course. He'd never done anything like this before and we were a bit worried that it would be too much for him or not engaging enough to keep him seated but he was up at the crack of dawn every morning raring to go.

The course was well structured, age appropriate, and when things got a bit confusing his tutor was quick to reassure and help. When he accidentally deleted everything he'd created his tutor went above and beyond to recover his work for him which was much appreciated.

Felix learnt a lot, gained new confidence in creating his own characters, blocks and objects in Minecraft and has been using all his screen time since making more.

Many thanks for a great couple of weeks.

The final few days is the best part about the entire course as we get to create our own projects and the days go much quicker than they do normally. Also the tutor was very nice and very helpful especially when we needed help or were stuck on something. I really enjoyed the course overall.
