My daughter loves Minecraft and everything about it so when I saw this class on Mods for Minecraft I was immediately interested. The admin team has been great sorting out all questions and guiding me through the booking process. What's great is that you can use your childcare vouchers to pay for the classes. The teacher of the class was great and helped my daughter every time she needed it. She was the youngest in the class so she needed quite a bit of support but FunTech and the teacher were supportive and she managed to complete the class and be even more enthusiastic about Minecraft!

Our 10 year old had a great time at Minecraft mods, he learnt loads and had a lovely social group of kids, so despite being on screen every morning, it was a lovely experience throughout.
The only improvement would be a consent process to allow kids to stay in touch with the others they became friendly with, and develop a group closed game together, both during camp time and subsequently.

My son really enjoyed his Virtual Minecraft course. He learned lots of new skills, including elementary programming, and loved being able to design his own mods. This course kept him entertained whilst we were working from home, and he continued working on his own after the course too. He shared his new mods with us at lunch and in the evenings, and I had to learn a whole new set of Minecraft terminology. I can highly recommend it.

Very engaging program

Although 3.5 hrs daily and virtually, the kids were very focused and engaged, having truly learned in a hands on environment. Strongly recommended.

Alexandra has thoroughly enjoyed Minecraft Redstone. The course was engaging, well organised and well put together. The group size was just right and the tutor was very knowledgeable and competent. This was her first virtual camp having previously done physical camps, but the experience and quality were exactly the same. It is great to have the optionality of both virtual and physical camps and the options of 2 weeks or 1 week of virtual camps.

Outside the camp, the staff at Funtech are always very friendly and extremely helpful, with endless patience for silly IT questions! This is our fifth year of doing Funtech and we are already looking forward to next summer's courses!

The boys thoroughly enjoyed the two weeks of game design. So that’s the main thing! Having done the python coding course last holiday, I was expecting slightly more coding to this course (I believe essentially there was none). I think I had hoped that this would have been a great way to engage the boys in coding, as it would be based on gaming. We will definitely come back for more though, so if you have any bright ideas for the perfect fit, let me know!

Fantastic course!

My son absolutely loved this course and the best thing about it was he learned some real engineering concepts, not just pure basic Minecraft. His tutor was excellent and engaging. This is the second course he has done with Funtech and it will not be the last. Thank you Funtech!

Ethan enjoyed his course and has asked me to sign him up for the next level. I found the half day sessions works well as his concentration diminishes as the day progresses.

i give it 5 stars because the tutor pays a lot of attention to us and shows us every thing In time so we can make other things like bedwars maps, escape rooms, and we get to learn about or hates and gates nand gates and many more. It is also really fun so I rate it 10/5

I enjoyed making the battle boxes and fighting the mobs in them. I learnt enough to even be able to make my own tv, It has three different channels, chicken, sheep and pig. You are basically watching them all in lava. You can even turn the tv off!

Really Good Course

This was a really good course, i always wanted to learn redstone and previously i did python OOP, and Redstone was quite a fresh wave because the computer this time i had to make do with only two signals and how to control them, i found it very interesting and Very helpful

As a parent I would only ask that some individual feedback is given to parents at the end of the course (nothing detailed but info on what the teacher thinks the child could do to improve their programming/developer skill going forward). We would sign up for another course again! Thanks funtech.

My daughter enjoyed the AI learning camp very much. The instructor has organised the teaching material very well and was answering the questions from the pupils at all time. The break interval was set up well and allow the child to concentrate throughout the half day course. Recommend to all...

My daughter enjoyed the AI learning camp very much. The instructor has organised the teaching material very well and was answering the questions from the pupils at all time. The break interval was set up well and allow the child to concentrate throughout the half day course.

Recommend to allow option of full day course over 1 week for the Virtual camp instead of the half-day course spreading over the 2-week time. This will allow more flexibility on the family to plan holiday away time during the school off period.

Would recommend

The Artificial Intelligence camp was very fun and interesting. We learned a lot by creating programs in Python that used AI to understand images, text, etc. The project at the end is very fun as we get to make a chatbot that can do different things.

I have had a lot of fun, not too much of a learning curve and an incredible experience to create your own game, a little tough in places but defiantly would suggest it!

The best camp I have ever been on

The instructor was extremely helpful, and the entire course was very clear and easy to follow. All of the skills I have learnt here can be continued, and I have managed to make a game that at the start of the course I would have never thought possible!

The last two days which were spent on creating an arena that displayed our learning was a good choice, and often not seen. I love Minecraft, and have been wanting to make mods for all 5 years of playing the game, and this taught me in a way that was easy to understand. Definitely would recommend (well that’s obvious, it’s 5 stars and tons of positive feedback)

Amazing camp

This camp was amazing! Everything I was taught was explained simply and clearly. There were regular breaks throughout the day and some free time in the end to play Survival. Very much recommend it.

This was a very fun course that was exellently taught and really helps people learn to code, funtech is amazing 5 STARS (1millon if i could) I DEFINETLY recommend funtech if you want a fun and enriching learning experience.
