My daughter had a most enjoyable time on the online Java course for 2 weeks of the school holidays. She found the course stretched her knowledge and skills, but was pitched at the right level so that she never thought she was out of her depth or falling behind.

My daughter enrolled in the advanced python coding course over the summer holidays, having done the basic course earlier. She really enjoyed the course and, from what I could see, was doing some pretty impressive stuff by the end of the course. The instructor was professional and kept the course on track. This is the fourth or fifth virtual course she has done, in addition to a couple of day camps before the pandemic, and she has always enjoyed them and said that she learns a lot.

My son wasn't keen on doing this class in the beginning because he wanted to be on his ps5 all day but by day 2 he started to get into it. He said he enjoyed it and looking forward to signing up for Python Level 3

My son thoroughly enjoyed this course. He relished the challenge and we were very happy that he spent some of his summer holidays learning a new skill. The teacher was very good and communication with parents was excellent.

When I signed my daughter up for Minecraft Mod Developer 1, I was worried that 3.5 hours would be too long and she'd be bored and restless well before the end of the week. I couldn't have been more wrong! She was completely absorbed for every minute and by day 2 she was asking if she could do Part 2. She's just completed that and she has loved every second :) It's been lovely hearing her chatting away whilst we're working and popping up in breaks to tell me what a brilliant time she's having. I'm amazed by what she's achieved and she's thrilled to bits with it all. She tells me the tutors have been lovely and really good at explaining how to do things and at helping them when they get stuck. She's thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the small group of other children on the course. The administration team have also been super friendly and very helpful. It's been great for us to be able to get on with our work knowing our daughter's happy and without needing to take her somewhere and pick her up. Both parents and daughter would highly recommend these courses. Thank you FunTech for a great couple of weeks :)

Lyndon really enjoyed part 2 of Python - OOP. The tutor, Nathan, was great - really patient, very knowledgeable and engaging. He really inspired Lyndon and his enthusiasm was infectious. Thank you for a wonderful Game Design course. My 12 year old absolutely loved it. It sparked ideas and it was wonderful to see him experimenting and trying things after the session finished each day. This was our first attempt at an online camp and we will totally do it again. The instructor kept a great eye on all his pupils, and while he had videos to play he would stop them to explain and make sure everyone understood and no one was left behind. I was very impressed at how he coached 4-5 youngsters through fairly technical IT stuff. Having the virtual control of the desk top was brilliant.

Lyndon really enjoyed Python OOP. The camp was very well organised and very well run. The standard of tutor is very high. Lyndon has now been doing Funtech camps for 6 years! He has thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The offering is excellent - there is something to suit everyone from Minecraft to Roblox to Robotics and coding! Both children have loved trying out the different camps. The customer service of Funtech is really good too - they are very responsive and very helpful, going out their way to accommodate us. My 8 year old attended the online virtual camp this summer. I was originally a bit worried that I would have to stay with her the whole time to help her out when she became stuck- however I was pleasantly surprised she did the whole course without any assistance from myself at all. The tutor was excellent and managed to help her when she became stuck and my daughter said she really enjoyed the course and the biggest thing for me was I didn’t have to fight to get her to do it. I would def recommend for kids who love Roblox.

My daughter has just completed a week of python coder level2 virtual course. It was a fairly last minute decision to book as I needed to use up some accumulated childcare vouchers that would expire on her 15th birthday (few months time). The booking system was straightforward and I was refunded once the vouchers had gone through.
The programs that were necessary to install prior to the course took around an hour- a little tricky due to the firewalls in the laptop.

The tutor was very professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Regular breaks given throughout the session, timings were perfect. A well organised course, thank you.

My 15 year old daughter enjoyed the experience and has asked to do the follow on course! She is pleased to have learnt a language that she will not be taught in school.

The teaching was good and the ration of 3-6 pupils meant that got the attention they needed.

My daughter really enjoyed the advanced python course, having done the basic one two weeks earlier.
I was surprised at the level of coding she was able to do by the end of the course and it fits really well with what she has been/ will be doing at school.
Definitely recommend.

My Daughter enjoyed the virtual camps in Python and 3D Game Design which were convient and offered a safe space to start her learning journey. Tutors were attentive and gave her additional time, it is so important that girls can have future careers in tech and it starts without having their confidence knocked by those who have had more opportunities to test out their skills. My Daughter is keen to come back and learn more...so I am delighted that her first toe dip has been a successs and she would love a Minecraft design course aimed at secondary school age, if it is possible. Thank you Funtech team for making this learning accessible to all.

Fantastic learning experience

A second course and part 2 of Java coding.... a great experience for my son and although he found it tricky at the start of the week the team at funtech did everything possible to support his needs. Communication was excellent throughout the course and the tutoring support was outstanding.

Ethan loved the Java coding course from day 1. The instructor Kevin was absolutely fantastic - friendly, helpful and regularly checking progress etc.
The pace was perfect and my son thoroughly enjoyed his course.

Another Fabulous Course

This is the fourth course my son has completed with FunTech. Once again he enjoyed the content and learned a lot. The small class sizes, structure of the day and online delivery are all great.
