I would recommend this camp to everyone. It has been extremely fun and might be very useful later in life.

Python course level 1

It was really good and I learnt a lot. And when I didn't get something or was confused the tutor patiently taught me it. You learn a lot from this course! Even if you start with no knowledge of coding.

Python - Coder - Parts 1 & 2

I absolutely loved this course and found it really fun, now I have more knowledge going into year 10 for my computer science coding python, the tutor was very nice and funny.

On the first day, I found it difficult because I didn't know much about computing. But as my tutor went through it I started to understand it more. I am now able to code most things by myself without a tutor helping me.

Amazing,, definitely coming back to learn another coding platform, the tutor was fantastic, the course was great, I really don't have anything bad to say about it, it was perfect, I really enjoyed using all the special assets that Funtech has and using Unreal engine.

I learnt a lot from this course, I found out how to make loops, change transparency with scripts. I also learned how to make a PvP game. I learnt so many things that I never knew before and I understood it as well. I had a great time and had fun learning.

Very cool

Engaging and easy to understand. The first few days are quite easy if you know any other programming language but there are many extensions and challenges to do if you finish early. The projects at the end are fun and complex enough to challenge you.

This week i enjoyed the java coding camp and i felt comfortable to ask for help if needed. It was definitely a step up from part 1 of this course being more challenging. My tutor this week was very helpful and explained things well which is great.

Thank you for a wonderful Game Design course. My 12 year old absolutely loved it. It sparked ideas and it was wonderful to see him experimenting and trying things after the session finished each day. This was our first attempt at an online camp and we will totally do it again. The instructor kept a great eye on all his pupils, and while he had videos to play he would stop them to explain and make sure everyone understood and no one was left behind. I was very impressed at how he coached 4-5 youngsters through fairly technical IT stuff. Having the virtual control of the desk top was brilliant.

Lyndon really enjoyed Python OOP. The camp was very well organised and very well run. The standard of tutor is very high. Lyndon has now been doing Funtech camps for 6 years! He has thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The offering is excellent - there is something to suit everyone from Minecraft to Roblox to Robotics and coding! Both children have loved trying out the different camps. The customer service of Funtech is really good too - they are very responsive and very helpful, going out their way to accommodate us. This year, we have particularly liked the format of the part-time virtual camps and would love to do more next year! Thanks very much Funtech!

Alexandra has really enjoyed the camp. She has done various Funtech camps over the years and they are consistently of a very high standard. The camps are very well organised, there is a good ratio of tutor to attendees and the tutors are all very engaging and knowledgeable. We are very impressed with Funtech which is why we keep coming back every year. This year, we have really liked the format of part time virtual camps - this has been great in breaking up the day and giving the children a very worthwhile activity where they are learning a lot. My 8 year old attended the online virtual camp this summer. I was originally a bit worried that I would have to stay with her the whole time to help her out when she became stuck- however I was pleasantly surprised she did the whole course without any assistance from myself at all. The tutor was excellent and managed to help her when she became stuck and my daughter said she really enjoyed the course and the biggest thing for me was I didn’t have to fight to get her to do it. I would def recommend for kids who love Roblox.

My daughter has just completed a week of python coder level2 virtual course. It was a fairly last minute decision to book as I needed to use up some accumulated childcare vouchers that would expire on her 15th birthday (few months time). The booking system was straightforward and I was refunded once the vouchers had gone through.
The programs that were necessary to install prior to the course took around an hour- a little tricky due to the firewalls in the laptop.

The tutor was very professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Regular breaks given throughout the session, timings were perfect. A well organised course, thank you.
