This course will teach you the basics of 2D games in unity fairly well but it seems some of the course material is outdated by a few years. Some problems occurred during the course. But it seems like a decent way to learn the basics of 2D games in unity. all in all the course seems good other than the few problems (probably compatibility issues).

Great time and learnt a lot

I had a very useful and fun tutor who helped me to learn Unity, and when I had problems with my code and program she helped to debug and fix them. Overall I enjoyed the camp as well as the tutors who were on the camp were nice and helped out.

Amazing

The virtual camp was fun and informative. Lots of new things to learn for me, and the teacher was always available to answer my questions and I had lots of fun in creating my first game!

The first 2 days of learning 3# were a bit tricky but I really enjoyed the course overall. Learning how to programme/design 2D games in Unity have been really interesting.

This course was the most fun I've ever had doing a FunTech camp, and it's filled in all those empty checkboxes on my list!!

You can finally make tilemaps, have characters play animations, have a larger level with a camera script, and MORE!!!
And all with the ease of a great, fantastic, kind, patient, and just awesome tutor!

They make it a piece of cake for you to understand things, and no matter your level from the first part, YOU WILL LOVE THIS SEQUEL!!!

Unity Game Coder -Review

I thought that it was very fun! We did a lot of stuff and I really enjoyed it. It was great!
We covered lots of things that you need to make a game, like
camera controllers, movement controllers, tilemaps, animations and a few other things.
It was very good.

funtech is great

funtech taught me a lot of things in about unity, I know a lot more than I did before and it did a really good job at getting me started with the engine. I learnt about components, sprites, c#, game objects and lots more.

I would highly recommend!

Had fun and learnt a lot

Doing this course I had a great time and wish to learn with funtech again in the future. The teacher explained things very well and helped everyone when they needed it.

grate learning I have not done unity before and have really wanted to do it it was great but I recommend not doing it in the morning for mental health not being in your pigamas the hole leson and sleap

Plenty of material in the course to keep anyone occupied for a week! Friendly tutors, especially Freya who helped me catch up despite all my technical issues which really helped me progress. Support team very handy and the screensharing app is extremely helpful. Highly recommend FunTech!!

Unity Camp

The course taught me a lot about how to use unity and create games, and was well explained. It was very fun learning how to use Unity and I had a great time.

We leant lots about Unity and it was very beginner friendly and led up to a quite complex project in the end!

It was a great camp where I expanded my knowledge of using Unity, along with plenty of challenges and extensions to test it out. The recap challenges and the final project at the end were a fun way to review everything I'd learned throughout the course.

This was actually one of my favourite courses I have done at FunTech, it amazed me how much we covered however how much we could actually understand (which was all of it). This was due to the excellent tutor explaining every topic in detail and answering any of our questions, as well as the well-structured course that gradually gets harder and harder. While it may not teach you how to make a trending 2024 3D game, it teaches you the basics in depth to allow to you progress and possibly even make a trending game in the (far) future.

Unity P1 course review

I have enjoyed the Unity course and feel I have learned a lot, and that my ability to code in Unity has significantly improved. The course was well paced and wasn't too difficult, but was challenging enough to be fun and help learn things.

Very fun course!

The entire camp was very fun, Harry (our teacher) was very nice! I really enjoyed programming our own components, and finally our own games! It was great!
