Java – learn, talk, think code.

Give your child an advantage that will last for years.

To be literate in the digital age, your child must be able to code.  In our quick-paced online Java course, kids will be prepared for the future, giving them an advantage in the years to come. In these virtual Java coding lessons, kids learn to code, edit and problem-solve in a structured and methodical manner.

Once your child has mastered the core coding constructs, they'll get oodles of fun exercises and projects to test them in variety of different scenarios. So, by the time the week is up, they'll know that the secret to becoming a good coder isn't merely knowing coding constructs, it is how to use them to innovate with the technology that surrounds them and deliver elegant solutions to any problems they may encounter.

About this course

Our kids’ online Java classes begin with a theoretical examination of coding logic.  Using flowcharts and pseudo code, you child will learn the best practise of being a good coder: understand the problem, create a solution, then write programming code. This is followed by an orientation to Eclipse (a Java Independent Development Environment).

In the process, our online Java tutors will teach them to master the syntax of the core coding constructs such as conditional statements and loops, plus how these are used to achieve techniques like sequencing, selection, branching and iteration.

Next, they'll look at how to make their code more efficient, firstly, by minimising the number of lines of code and then by using functions – an independent segmentation of code that, once written, can be used as many times as needed.

Finally, your child will implement all they've learned by creating fascinating, game-based projects which they enjoy long after finishing our online Java course.

Indeed, they'll be free to download Java, which is consistently in the top three of the world-wide rankings for programming language usage, so they can continue their progress after the Java Virtual Course.
