Digital Engineering with our online Minecraft Redstone course

Redstone is Minecraft’s equivalent of electricity, and your child will begin by harnessing this energy to create the different logic gates with our new online Minecraft Redstone lessons. They'll then learn how these logic gates can be combined to create circuits and complex electronic items such as calculators, elevators and more. And, ultimately, they'll bring all these skills together to design and build an amazing adventure full of challenges, surprises and puzzles that players must navigate if they are to see the course through to its exciting climax.

About this course

In our online Minecraft Redstone course, kids will be taken on a fascinating journey through the fundamentals of electronics. They'll start with the simple concept of binary, where any two states (e.g. up and down, or on and off) can be represented by a 0 or 1.

Then, using truth tables, (a mathematical table used for logic,) they'll learn about the different logic gates and their possible outputs. Once these gates have been mastered, your child will combine them to create real-world applications, giving them a deeper understanding of how everything reduces back down to Binary.

As their course progresses, the Minecraft Redstone tutor will teach more complex tasks. Towards the end of the online Minecraft classes, your child’s imagination will go into overdrive as they fully grasp the limitless possibilities of being an electronic inventor.

Finally, they'll use these skills to design and implement an adventure course that you will can navigate on the final day.
