Out of all the kids’ computer science camps we run in London, which would be best for your child?

It’s not the easiest decision to make, and most of it will be determined by their age and what they’re into right now.

Here’s just a selection of some of the great camps your child could attend, with a brief overview of each.

#1: Minecraft with Mods – Ages 7 to 10

If your child loves gaming and in particular the massively popular Minecraft game, then this is the ideal choice.

Each day, your child will uncover more Minecraft secrets, and then move onto modifying the game by developing their own blocks, items, creatures and even the Minecraft landscapes themselves.

We also run a Minecraft Redstone camp for children aged 9 to 12 years old.

#2: Scratch with Ozobot – Ages 7 to 10

This is the ideal camp for children who want to start learning the basics of computer coding where they use a visual-based editor which lets them create their own fun animations, stories, games and sounds.

At the end of the camp your child will have completed their own science project whilst programming their Ozobot to race, dance and complete the FunTech maze.

#3: Lego Robotics – Ages 10 to 14

In this camp your child will customise their own LEGO robot which helps them to learn about more advanced coding techniques.

The LEGO summer camp week is packed full of fun and exciting challenges which will test the limits of their robot as they engineer and program their way through tasks such as Maze Mapper, Cube Control and the epic Robot Wars.

We also run a junior version of this course for children aged 7 to 10 years old.

#4: Video Game Design – Ages 10 to 14

If your child loves video games, and let’s face it, what child doesn’t, then our 3D game design course is a superb choice.

By taking a child’s passion for video gaming, our expert tutors will help them to turn that screen time into proactive learning as they develop their own game.

#5: 3D Modelling & Printing – Ages 10 to 14

This summer science camp will help to unleash your child’s creative imagination as they learn how design and print their own amazing 3D models.

Using industry standard techniques, from 3D extrusions modelling to 3D digital sculpting, your child will transform a simple geometric cube into a model created by their imagination.

They will also learn tips, techniques and associated best practice by experimenting with 3D printers.

#6: Java Coder – Ages 11 to 15

This is a faster-paced summer camp aimed at slighter older children who already have a passion to learn more about computer coding.

Our tutors will help your child to master core coding constructs during a series of fun practical exercises and projects.

At the end of the camp, your child will implement their new skills by creating interesting game-based projects to take home.
