My son LOVED this course!

He particularly enjoyed using his new knowledge to write his own code.

Teachers are AMAZING!!! They explain everything accurately from ifs to for loops they are the BEST!!!! If you need anything you don't have to be afraid of asking anything

Amazing Week - Learnt a lot

The beginning of the week was a bit boring as I knew much of the basics but as the week progressed, I learnt more and more

Overall, I thought this course was fun and useful and I would definitely recommend it to someone else.

I found this course enjoyable and fun. I was able to learn so many things that I can do in python. I was even able to make my own game at the end of the course. I recommend this course to any beginner that wants to start using python.

My son had a great time at the Python camp. He learned a lot and wishes to continue at the next occasion. Tonbridge school is an amazing place to stay and the accommodation and the food were good, he said. The teachers and staff are qualified and pay attention to any boys’ needs. Thank you to all.

It’s hot and stuffy and not suitable for kids with allergies . Although I was assured there will be fans in the room and windows and doors opened for ventilation. It’s not the case. The door was open but the classroom was stuffy and super hot.

We were affected by the rail strike the week my child had the course . There was no provision for on line learning for him. That was poor support especially when we have just gone through more than two years of pandemic - I would have thought fun tech of all places would have the flexibility.

On the plus points - staff members were courteous and my son seemed to have enjoyed it.

I got a single room and it was small but very nice, and there is a games room close to mine that we could go in during free time at the residential building that had a TV and table tennis in. The tutors put on just dance one night and it was fun
The food is good too. For breakfast there was bacon, toast, egg, and for lunch and dinner there was lasanga, pasta, pizza and more
The course was really informative also- I have not learnt python before but now I am pretty good at the basics and have a good understanding
Overall, I would definitely reccomend!

I would definitely come again.

I arrived on Monday, not knowing a thing about python. But the Funtech lessons were simple and informative and I quickly learnt more info, day by day. The staff (Robin and Beatriz) were helpful when we needed support and the lunches were good. I would definitely come again.

fun tech review

the whole week was so fun i loved all the games we made and the tutors where so nice and helpful. i loved the virus war and this was by far the most fun week of the holidays. i hope i can come back next year.

The course has been amazing and the teacher/tutor explained everything very clearly funtech over my experiance of my time as been exhilarating and i have enjoyed every bit of it. It was easy making freinds.
Despite the tutoring bieng online making freinds was suprisingly easy.
In my opinion the course is most certainly worth it and highly recommended.
The teacher Kevin was amasing he was so energetic and helpful towards our needs and the help of the understanding of the code.
If you ever get the chance to be with these amazing people I would 100% do the course.
I want to thank FunTech for everything and if I were to rate the course I would definitely rate it out of 10 a 1,000 out of.
This course has definitley inspired me to carry on coding.
This was a life changing experience for me and I can now understand code to be able to code mostly anything.

Fun at FunTech

Chloe thoroughly enjoyed her Python Coding residential camp. She has done a little bit of Python coding before so the tutors adapted her tasks to make them a little more challenging. She learnt some new coding skills but, most notably of all, she had fun !

It was probably her favourite camp ever

Ayesha loved Funtech and also enjoyed Lego camp last year.
She has since been coding at home, and learnt a lot at camp.
She also enjoyed working with and learning from the other students at Funtech.

Engaging course and worthwhile holiday activity

We thought the course was well organised and run.

The student care was very good with the inquiries about how to improve the experience for us.

Our son's only criticism was the 8 hour length facilitated by a lot of breaktime which is more challenging to fill for older teenagers.

Perfect week!

My two sons had a perfect week with FunTech, they really enjoyed the lessons, the instructor was kind and knowledgeable, they learned a lot. They will be back next year!

Great fun

My son really enjoyed the Python camp. He learned so much over the week and is now feeling really confident going into his ICT classes at school next year. The instructor was particularly nice and patient and made it a really happy week.

He loved it so much that we signed him up for the next day camp. The camp location is also convenient for us and they offer early drop off and late pick up!

I loved it!

I loved it here at Funtech, everyday we learned something new and we got to create some kind of project using those codes.
And the tutors, Hafsa and Ben, helped us if we needed help.

This was my son’s first residential camp and after all the lockdowns, it was a huge step for him to go away from home for a week. When I booked him onto the course, it was because he needed help with his Python because he chose Computer Science as a GCSE, however what I hadn’t anticipated was the huge life learning experience and independence gained from doing a residential course. The pastoral team were utterly amazing. They kept the kids busy in the evenings and they had loads of opportunities to mix and let their hair down after learning Python during the day. My son said he feels much more confident in his skills and when I asked him if he would do it again, he said “I think so” this is huge for him because he normally fobs me off with an “I’ll think about it” in the hope I will forget the question! This is the whole package - an absolutely wonderful experience from top to bottom. Thank you!

The camp was amazing an i learnt lots of things including, classes, random numbers, while loops and much more! the rooms were really nice and so were the room mates. the teacher were really nice and fun

Great.

My room was so nice and the staff were lovely. More gluten free options though, my sister didn't have a lot to eat. The course was fun and the tutors were really helpful, I learnt a lot. Just my class were a bit loud so I could not concentrate as much but that wasn't their fault. Overall really fun.

Throughout, the week I had an overall positive. i enjoyed pretty much every meal during the duration of my stay and had fun socialising, coding and playing games. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about python because I learnt a lot and had a fun doing it.

This summer camp was sooooo fun

This summer camp was sooooo fun. I got to work, chat with friends (at breaktimes) and meet new people. It was a little tricky but i made it through

It was very fun and I think I would choose FunTech again, the staff was really friendly and all the lessons very enjoyable.
I am sad the course only lasted a week because it was so good.
