My FunTech Review

I loved especially the last lesson when we made mini game codes and that when I was struggling you helped me understand and that's why I feel like I have learnt something new. I really enjoyed it.

Very useful and interesting

This course has helped me to understand coding skills that I have never been able to understand before. I found the teaching of the code step by step very helpful and the fact that the tutor can see your screen to help you more directly also helped me a lot.

It was very fun

This week had a good level of difficulty and we managed to do many things. Everyone was roughly the same level and it was fun

The course was great and i learned a lot how to make a game.

I loved the course, I learned so many interesting and exciting things like blueprints, etc...

This was one of the best funtech courses i've done and would do it again if i could.

Python 1 & 2

My daughters both did a virtual Python camp this summer. Both very good and for my elder daughter it was the third Funtech camp. The tutors are always very pateince and I had the impression that a lot of feedback from the previous years had been taken on. Thanks again Funtech.

3D game design camp

My son had a great time at the week long camp. Has learned lots about game design and also created his own games. Thanks to all the staff that were there.

Hackathon Happiness!

My son had a great time on the Cyber Security Hackathon camp. He is very interested in ethical hacking so this was the perfect camp for him. He loved the practical challenges as well as learning how to use new software and he's much more security conscious as a result of attending the camp.

I knew my son was enjoying himself when he described his FunTech camp as being "better than school because it lasts 2 hours longer". He was completely engaged in Minecraft Mod developer and keen to continue outside of the camp setting. He also made a new friend, thanks to the considered way in ...

I knew my son was enjoying himself when he described his FunTech camp as being "better than school because it lasts 2 hours longer". He was completely engaged in Minecraft Mod developer and keen to continue outside of the camp setting. He also made a new friend, thanks to the considered way in which the room was set up, placing children of similar age together.
Only question now is which topic to try next year!

Python camp

Our daughter did the Minecraft Mod course and she couldn't wait to turn up every morning. She loved the stuff she learnt and has been showing off to everyone what she now knows how to create, it's wonderful. She also really enjoyed the non-computing activities at break time and lunch time - she was telling us all about the games they played. The activities seemed really well run. The facilities at the school were nice, the staff were very friendly, and they gave her a computer and mouse to use which made her able to use the laptop more easily. Thank you.

Really great camp

My 14 year old was excited about doing this class and didn’t need any reminding. Phyton level 2. Useful for gsce computer science. Will do the next level. Second time he’s done a course with funtech. Can’t believe they can keep his attention like they do.

Excellent course

Brilliant course, my son wasnt keen on attending initially due to duration but he thoroughly enjoyed it, and learnt lots. Highly recommend - excellent teachers

Kids loved it

Brilliant camp, run extremely well. Far more engaging and advanced than traditional computer or coding courses. Kids absolutely loved. Built their confidence and can easily see them using this as a stepping stone to advance their computer and coding skills

My son thoroughly enjoyed the Fun Typer course which was so child-friendly - geared up in a totally gamified way with levels and rewards. He went for it! Unusually he completed Fun Typer in 1 1/2 days. Although not the norm, Fun Tech were unfazed and really understanding of him and accommodated us in a different course of his choosing - Coding for Python for the rest of the week. This was good as I got to know two coffee shops in two locations . He was supported to catch up - the classes are small and teachers top notch. My son's teacher had a Masters in Computer Science and was a really cool guy! I went in for the Show and Tell of their projects at the end of the week and was really impressed. They did lots of games outside in their screen breaks and made friends over the week. Well done FunTech. You are hands down the best!

What a week!

My son has been raving about it everyday, he couldn't wait to go back every morning. The teacher was kind, flexible, and very patient! Great results as well as we had a show and tell at the end of the week! I will definitely put my son again to this camp!

Dairis was so inspired by this course, it was quite remarkable he couldn't wait to get there everyday! The tutors were WONDERFUL- really outstanding in both their teaching and sensitive way with the young people and it's really sparked his interest in coding. The best camp he has attended EVER and a special environment with a lot of care and attention paid. He cannot wait to continue his Funtech journey from abroad, what a brilliant programme. Cannot recommend it enough, we are delighted.

This is Felix‘s third year with Fun Tech on the Minecraft themed programs. Previously he’s taken the courses on Mods and Redstone, but the last two weeks have been much more programming intensive. The course leaders Jensen and Nilan have both been brilliant, building a great rapport with the kids, showing loads of expertise, and putting in extra effort to make sure the learning goals are met. It’s definitely not just about playing Minecraft but they’ve made it just as fun! Highly recommended!

My son had a great time. Long days, nicely broken up with play times, and he came away feeling like he had learned a lot.

Roblox camp

This was the most productive screen time in holidays for my daughter. It was truly a fun learning experience. I was happy to see her so happy and confident while learning Roblox designs. I'm certain she would be part of more holiday camps in future.

Funtech course p1 and p2

It was a really great expierience and I understood everything I had learn't and was confident in its application. I was able to learn a lot through this camp which helped me to take my step in coding.

I learnt a lot from this one week course, the material was good and easy to understand. My tutor was great at explaining stuff and helped me extremely well.
