The week

I enjoyed this week. I did find the file opening good and easy to undertsand. But i enjoyed all the topics and it was fun week. I also learnt a lot. I did find tkinter hard at the start but towards the end i found it good and i feel i am at a good stage at tkinter and i really enjoyed this week.

It was full of different things that we had to learn and it was not too hard for us to understand. The challenges near the end were very exciting to learn and do.

This course is really fun but also a bit challenge so you should do this course if you have learnt python before and have done python recently. I really recommend it.

I came into this camp after having done an Introduction to Programming course at school, and I was really happy with how the course challenged and supported me. There was a solid review of all the prerequisite concepts, and the new content was done in small, manageable pieces with practice in between. I definitely learned a lot of new material and built a lot on my old skills, which helped me prepare for the advanced computer science course I'll be taking at school next year.

The teachers were all really helpful, checking in with every student individually and ensuring that no one was falling behind. We never felt rushed, but also still covered all of the material on time. Isaac and Paul definitely deserve a raise for being such great teachers (and putting up with our group's chaos all week). I made some great friends on this course and definitely want to come back next year for the level 3 python course.

Python OOP review

This course was really fun and I learnt so much more about Python which will be very useful for my GCSEs later. The topics covered were advanced but our teacher explained the concepts clearly and helped us when we were struggling. I would definitely recommend this camp to other students!

I did the Flexi online Python OOP Course with Toru, and this experience was so much fun, so insightful and has taught me so much, that I feel will definitely help me with my Computer Science GCSE, as I am definitely ahead of all the other students taking it. We covered so much in this course, from functions, file handling, to tkinter. At times, I did struggle a bit, but I was able to work on and understand my issues as Toru was really helpful in overcoming my challenges, and even went through with me personally, which I really appreciated from him. I have completed some consolidation paperwork and will review it during future programming. Thank you so much, Toru and FunCourse, I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned so much. Thanks!

This week has been really fun. Sometimes, I did not understand how to do some of the coding but my tutor helped me understand everything thoroughly. Learning about tkinter was really fun and doing the projects was fun too.

I really enjoyed the course this year. On the first day, we recapped and learned files, which I feel like I needed as I did the beginner course last year. The next day, we focused more on object orientated programming, with classes and objects. We then did our first project: the shopping simulator. I enjoyed making it in a way I hadn't coded before: Using classes for practically everything, the instantiating an object at the end. Then, we focused on GUI. We made windows using tkinter and moved shapes and other things around. I even managed to make a virus that could (based on experimentation on someone's computer) permanently crash PyCharm...The last day (today) was dedicated to the project. I made a coin flipper, because I like coins. It was an enhancement of a previous project with added classes and GUI!

This was my first time at FunTech and without even know all the basics, we spent plenty of time recapping and catching everyone up on the things we didn't know. These lessons combine videos and hands on teacher involvement, creating the perfect environment for any child looking to do coding classes. Whenever anyone struggled, our teacher was always there to help, and along with that, the videos were amazingly informative and easy to follow along. Even more, they teach even better here than they do in my school! Highly recommend! It's amazing to watch your programs to come to life (even when you aren't interested in Python at all!).

This week was great I felt I managed to learn so much and all the little things we did were so fun to do and great to see the results. I really enjoyed the teaching and felt it made the aspect of coding far more fun than it seems to be (to others to me it has still always been fun).

Overall Great Experience

An enjoyable experience, with easy-to-understand units and a quick pace which makes the units stay interesting. The beaks were perfectly timed and long enough!! As well as that, the tutors were very kind and helped out in a concise, understanding manner!

We used a lot of tkinter to make to code more graphical and OOP for more complex code. I make connect 4 and a platformer game.

The course was fun and engaging and are tutor helped us in any bits we didnt understand, and it being split into two parts was also great as we got to learn the OOP basics before we moved on to Tkinter( which was great).
