Very good

It is a really good place to learn coding at as you learn the exercises and you also get a example before you are set off to do it. You learn brand new things such as strings and also how to code. You also learn interesting things that not every one would know.

Firstly, I think that you learn a lot over the two weeks. This includes while loops and for loops as well as parsing and variables. by the end of the course, I was able to create and understand a hangman game. The coarse includes many things that are exciting and that you could use in pretty much any program. The only cons were that it was tedious downloading the software at the beginning and there were many technical difficulties over the first few days. Also, some times when others don't understand everybody has to wait for the teacher to explain to the kid about how it works. Overall it was an enjoyable camp and I am now, I feel like, 20 times better at python than I used to be

before I started this course, I knew a little bit about python. I could program a turtle and print into the console. now, I know everything. the first day was a little concerning, spending 3 hours downloading software but then it became amazing. we were split into groups. the first day, we were in a group of seventeen (FunTech comment | the class size was 12) which was a nightmare. at this time, I am in a group of 9 PEOPLE (which is much better then the original 17). the highlight of the week was making the hangman game. it was really good.

'Exciting course'

I liked the camp ,although I didn't like it at first, but near the end it was really good.

A pretty good week

The week was quite good but it was a bit boring at times. like at the start of the week lots of people had problems with there software and it was quite annoying to wait for them to fix it so we can carry on. but apart from that it was good

Python coder

I think that the python coder is fun and I like the way the course works but the only thing I would have to say is that it took quite a while to get round toe everyone but that's the same with every course I guess

Very interesting experience

The coursework was fun and insightful, the tutor was very nice, and I felt confident to produce my own projects after I had learnt everything. However, sometimes the lessons were disruptive (but it was rare).

I liked this course and it was very fun but i would suggest adding a little more to learn because for the last three days we just made our own projects because we had previously finished all their was to learn. I feel that funtech handled the bizarre situation of having everyone do it at home very well, and most technical issues were sorted on the first day. I would recommend this course to 7 - 13 year old, or beginners and it is quite basic python.

they course and teaching was great i went from printing statements to making games but it is not a 5 because at the start it was quite unorganised ans slow to get to the course (E.G: people not having right stuff downloaded because they weren't told how to on their operating system)

Virtual Python Coder Course

I loved this virtual course since it was very exciting and I learned a lot too. I learned about lists, variables and a few algorithms. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to learn the basics of Python.

Fun Tech Review

I enjoyed this week with FunTech. I learnt a lot of new things and used the basics of Python to create games and other interesting programs.
The tutor (Abul) was extremely nice and very helpful and helped make the course enjoyable.

Learning Python with Abul

Great corse I learnt loads. I really enjoyed learning to code with Abul. He was a great teacher and we had a great time talking to him while we learnt to code. We had learnt to make fun games that my family enjoyed playing. I liked trying to explain how the programs to my parents.

challenging

I had lots of fun at fun tech the staff were very encouraging of and patient when I did not get it .my tutor was very helpful and was always wiling to help. Lewis the leader of the camp was also helpful in many ways altogether I really enjoyed my time at fun tech even though I found it challenging

Very good

the course was good, but it wasn't very interactive. The videos sometimes hinder questions, and do not explain the subject in the most efficient way. The overall care and support was very good, and it is very engaging from the breaks to the actual sessions.

This week has gone by so quickly. Coding can sometimes be a bit tedious, but Fun Tech has solved that problem by giving us challenges like noughts and crosses, fizzbuzz, an adventure game, and many more. I also made a marvel themed hangman. The good thing about coding is that you feel really good after completing a project. Fun Tech gave us just the right amount of break to keep us interested. Lastly, we had a lot of freedom with our challenges and projects with a relaxed feeling.
I really liked Fun Tech and would definitely want to do it again!

The week was lots of fun with many extra challenges on top of the standard course. You learn lots of different functions of Python and then get to apply those to simple games such as 'Noughts and Crosses'. It gets you thinking about all how all the games out there are made and it gives you a sense of real coding. Your level doesn't matter, as they can help you if you get stuck. The breaks can be a bit uneventful as there isn't much to do and the challenges can sometimes be a bit boring. But, overall, the camp is great and it does what it's supposed to do - teach you about the main functions of Python.

FunTech Python review

This is a good course. If you are a beginner then you learn lots of new things. A good thing about this course is that the coding starts off simple, and then gets harder through the week.

Funtech is very fun and the instructors help you a lot . In python coder you get a lot of help and every thing is explained well . You learn in steps and they are in 4 units a day you get to make your own projects too .

My python camp reveiw

The extra curricular activities are a must, but you can only do so as residential so this is not available for some families.
The staff are friendly and helpful and will help you if you have a problem.
The other students are also usually willing to help.

FunTech was a great start in coding ! In five days, they explained everything in detail that I have learnt in school over two years and more! I have previously done coding so i found the first two days quite slow - but people who were completely new to coding had a detailed and thorough start. I would definitely recommend this for beginners to coding but if you have already done python before and you can code many programs, i would say you would still got some out of this. However, they do not cover the whole python language (obviously) because they only have 5 days to teach you! Great value for a beginner though!

The activities for residentials are great fun and are amazing.

The python coding course is quite good but I found it to easy so I had to occupy myself by coding myself a game instead of just doing what the course asked us to.

I enjoyed it overall, i didn't like the classroom and board position as it was a bit difficult to see the board. The powerpoints and coursework were detailed and effective and i learnt from them and if the course covered turtle I think that would've been better

Very educational and informative on the topics and goes into great detail. Furthermore, I feel that the breaks are very helpful to relax and set your mind at rest. In continuation to this, I feel strongly that the day could be a litle shorter due to the fact that towards the latter stages it feels like too much information. Penultimately, I also feel that there is a lot of waiting due to the sheer number of students rearing to go. Finally, I do highly recommend this strictly due to the fact that it was not hot outside anymore.

funtech - my review

Very educational and you learn a lot. Quite long. But I learned quite a bit if you don't mind doing work for 6.5 hours. Goes into a lot of detail. Omar was a very friendly and helpful tutor and wouldn't mind explaining things to you that you don't understand.

At first it was slightly un-organised, but after the first day it was really educational and the tutors were great at making sure everyone understood what was happening. It was also very balanced between free time and coding.
