My time at 3D game design.

Alright, get ready for an essay.
I've done funtech 3 times, and out of all of those times, 3D game design was the most fun. It was engaging, fun, and I made some friends. I enjoyed alot learning how to make 3D games using unreal engine. I had an amazing time and I loved the pack lunches the most :)

i got to meet some new friends and learnt a lot about 3d game design and how to use unreal engine. the tutors were also very good and very helpful. i give this an 8/10

I would like to say thank you to my teacher Jamie as he coped very well with the crazy person in the class who didn't do any work and messed around too much. Jamie helped me learn how to use Unreal Game Designs and explained the things that didn't work.

Very fun and interesting but a bit long

I enjoyed it and had lots of fun. I learnt a lot. The class was a bit slow and long though.

I leant so much more than I thought I would!

It was really intuitive and interesting however sometimes the lessons were really slow and boring

I enjoyed it quite a bit, though for me it was very difficult to understand all the concepts (but that was not Funtech's fault, since I was not as experienced in Python as I ought to have been before doing this course). It was enjoyable, and very funny at times :)

Educational, relaxed, and overall very fun. Covers a decent range of topics from social engineering to password-cracking. The one flaw with this course, in my eyes, is the fact that it is very Linux-based. The systems you use and hack are all running on (mostly outdated) Linux operating systems, ...

Educational, relaxed, and overall very fun. Covers a decent range of topics from social engineering to password-cracking. The one flaw with this course, in my eyes, is the fact that it is very Linux-based. The systems you use and hack are all running on (mostly outdated) Linux operating systems, which are much more vulnerable than modern Windows or Mac systems. This in mind, it is still certainly worth the 4 stars I give it.

FUN

I had lots of fun on this corse I loved learning python .

Funtech is FUN

I did the A.I. - Machine Learning course. It started off quite slow as it made sure that everyone understood the key concepts. However, it soon picked up the pace and I learnt many new things. I enjoyed the camp and I would recommend it if anyone is considering to do Funtech.

It was a bit boring at first but the second week was better.

It allowed me to both learn and experiment with new experiences through various different tasks.

Fun

The course was really fun and I learnt so much. The only thing that would make it better was if we moved at a faster pace because we had to make sure everyone fully understood the topic before moving on which was understandable but a bit annoying so maybe if there were just more extension project...

Really Good

Had a couple technical difficulties but overall was an outstanding camp!!

A brilliant camp

I loved this camp, and I would strongly recommend it. You learn all kinds of skills while building a game as well. One drawback I experienced was multiple crashes because unreal engine is very hard on computers as it involves a lot of data. Try and make sure to have excess storage.

Great Camp

I have really enjoyed this camp and would recommend it to my friends and sibling. I have enjoyed working with blueprints and meshes and might carry this on by myself as a hobby!

The last five days were very much enjoyable and I had a lot of fun coding with GUI. the only topic which I thought could have been tought better was the vectors section. My tutor overall, he did well at explaining how to create canvases and draw shapes on them. He did great and the course challenged me personally. We finished work quickly and most of the time had time to spare; my tutor was able to come up with excersises related to the topics learned that day to make up for the time. So well done Harry!

Funtech started slowly on the first day getting accustomed to the new environment and getting familiar wit the online concept but day 2 became better with Harry, our leader, being extremely interactive, randomly asking people questions and sharing his knowledge . Furthermore, he used to display and demonstrate each concept by himself in code , giving personal examples. Secondly, Harry was very helpful as seen by day 2 ,where he would visit each person's code and spotting any mistakes and then giving feedback about it. By day 3, there was more engaging content delivered, so it was the best day for me because we created many designs using pens and then drawing many shapes using python which is an interesting thing I learnt during this course. Also, the course itself had checkpoints and many multiple choice questions to ensure you understand, solidifying my understanding. By day 4, the course had become more and more captivating, learning innovative concepts such as vectors, and Harry our team leader greatly explained a difficult concept making it easier for us. Day 5 was a sad day , as it was the last day, but it was still nice as it consolidated the knowledge and did final projects. Overall, I would recommend this course as you develop further understanding of python and the tutors are great!

Pyhton coder course was very good for 5 days you learn lots of different coding tips and tricks it is a definite do in summer holdiays or any free time.

my funtech jouney

I loved Funtech so much but the reason i did put 4 stars is because I did not do everything I expected. However I loved this week at Funtech I hope I get to do more Funtech courses.

I really enjoyed learning unreal engine

I really enjoyed learning how to use unreal engine although I want to learn more about it and wanted the camp to last longer. I also enjoyed the break activities.

it was really fun and we leant lots of cool things. some of the lessons were boring but it all adds up to make a brilliant world! Very enjoyable

Overall, This week was packed with fun and gave me lots of stuff to do to keep me happy. The only problomes were that it was far away for me and also it was really sunny. I will recommend this for 7-13yr olds. The reason for this is we use a slightly complicated coding thing called "unreal engine". The pepole there are funny and friedly. The teachers explain coding in just a week. The cost is a bit expencive however worth every single penny. Please come to funtech to have an awsome time!
