best thing I ever done in ever in my whole life it was soooooooo fun 10/10

I loved it!

I loved this course it really helped my understanding of coding my downsides id that it was slow at times but that was to be expected for an online course

I really enjoyed the python course and found it very FUN.
There were quite a few technical difficulties with my computer but we fixed them and my game is much better than It was before.

Roblox Camp Review

I have enjoyed the course so much learning about all the different things we can do on Roblox Studios. I loved writing simple scripts to making terrain. Overall I loved everything we have done over the last two weeks! Thank you very much for this experience.

I found it very fun and very interesting to know how everything works. I also think that the teachers were really clear in what they said all made sense and when it didn't they were there to help everyone willingly.

I really had a good time. The tasks were challenging but fun and exciting. The courses are very detailed and helpful. And it made me a lot more confident in coding.

Roblox Coding Camp

I found it really fun and I learnt a lot of new things throughout the course. There were plenty of breaks so that you could rest your eyes from looking at screens. Overall it was a great camp!!!!

Very fun course

This course was very enjoyable. During the first few days it was a bit confusing but i quickly started to understand the concepts. i had a lot of fun creating interactive games, for example the rock,paper,scissors game and our own projects.

The Most Fun Ive ever had Coding

These two weeks were very fun and I have learned alot about python. Both weeks were equally challenging and fun, and it has been an enjoyable experience. I would definetely do this again.

Course was great!

The tutor was very friendly, helped out when there was an issue, made sure we understood what we were doing before we continued, and let us work on projects when we had the ideas for them.

the course was fun because we played Minecraft and i could make my own monster, the course was also awesome because i could make my own blocks that when you destroy lightning appears. I love Minecraft with mods.

The funtech python coder course was really fun. Sam was an amazing teacher. IN the bits we did not understand, he always helped us. There were times in which my audio cut out and he always re-explained things to me. At the end of videos, he always stopped to let me take notes, and, just to make sure that time was not wasted, he always explained what was said in the video to make sure everyone understood.

This was overall an amazing experience.

Alexia is an 11 yr old non-native English speaker complete beginner with games and screens. Probably wrongly, we were obsessed about keeping her away from screens and did a great job. The consequence was that her gap with any other regular kid is very wide when it comes to tech. We came to the conclusion there is no escape from the tech world for the young generation and wanted to introduce her to the space. I had been following Funtech for a while since a leaflet landed in my box. Alexia was initially registered for a summer residential camp. We were very happy that Funtech was making a great effort to still trying to deliver the programs despite the cancellation due to the virus.
So the course started and Alexia really, really struggled. She couldn't cope with the content, the program and the pace. Funtech was extremely honest in providing very valuable feedback while coming up with an option so Alexia could continue to learn at her own pace. I would not get into details but everything was about Alexia gaining a positive learning experience and Funtech was very flexible and very generous. Cato, the teacher was excellent, very patient and always advancing in content despite minimal feedback from Alexia. Alexia loved the class and was always looking forward to the next session despite her struggles. Mamta was reaching to us daily to discuss the situation and to make sure things were going in the right direction. Adrian also was very helpful.
Now is up to Alexia to continue to learn and, we hope she does that and, comes back to funtech for a different course but for sure she has been given a great introduction to a complete new world. With sincere thanks to all in Funtech. Jose

An engrossing and fascinating course

A really fascinating and engrossing course. Intricately planned it provides all the understanding necessary to feel comfortable with creating the game. Joe was fantastic at answering any queries we had.

I liked it.

I liked the pace of the course and the fact that they pushed you if you went ahead of what was being taught.
I also liked what was covered on it.

Best tech camp ever!

This camp was amazing. The tutor was friendly and I understood the course very well. the quality was excellent and it was extremely enjoyable this is truly the best tech camp.

Excellent

I found the course really good because I enjoyed it a lot and also I learnt a lot. I started off not knowing anything but now I have a good understanding in java.

Very engaging and comprehensive course

I was very impressed with how much content was covered and how it was targeted at a level that 7 year olds can understand. The first day was a bit painful due to most students not having the software set up correctly - so I suggest in future there should be a day of prep in advance of the course...

The first day was a bit painful due to most students not having the software set up correctly - so I suggest in future there should be a day of prep in advance of the course with a tech support expert.

Matt was excellent at tailoring the content to the level of the group and very good at giving 1-to-1 support - he was extremely helpful with more advanced concepts and taking it beyond the limitations of the software.

Only area for improvement would be to find a way to pass complex technical issues (with one student) on to a support person so that it doesn't hold up the rest of the class.
It would also be nice to do some sort of show-and-tell on the last day where each child could show the others what they have created.

overall though it was a great 2 weeks

This was a rather unfortunate start to the course as a disproportionate number of families had not completed their Pre-camp Check List - to address this all families are now being contacted prior to the course start date.
