INSANE COURSE

i enjoyed learning blueprints because it was like a mix of block coding and text coding and the final products you can make are endless.

This well structured course was very good for teaching me the basics of Unreal and giving a great base understanding of the engine so I can carry on creating and learning on it. The course is suited for people who are new to programming which is great but bare in mind if you do other programming languages, you might find some parts easier then others. Overall a good course and I found that asking questions is very good to enjoy the course more and getting more comfortable with unreal. Funtech listen to feedback given by the students, which is another great addition to course as the course is constantly improving.

The 3D game design course is really fun, and doesn't take up too much time. since we only do 3 hours a day ( for 2 weeks of working days) the sessions are pretty relaxed and i don't feel bored throughout the lesson. I personally think that it would be impossible to learn unreal engine without a tutor ; there was so much detail that even now there are still thing i don't know! the tutors are really nice, and if you ever have any issues with your group. or your stuck. The tutors will always do their best to support you. I highly recommend this course because i will remember this knowledge for ever!

Very Fun!

This camp was really enjoyable and fun to do. Doing it online was interesting and I really enjoyed it. The tutor will always help you if your stuck and they are really nice. I would recommend this course for ages 9-14.

Funtech camp experiance

I enjoyed this course alot and felt that I learned alot of cool new aspects of programming in unreal engine, from scripting to creating awesome new landscapes and simple side scroller games. I really appreciate all the work our teacher put in to help us learn.

Fun and Educational

I thought that this course was very educational and taught me a lot about how to use Unreal Engine. At times the lesson would move a bit slow but then pick up its pace again. Other than that the course was overall fun and enjoyable.

Good

Overall a good course. If your considering this for your child, I would suggest this course. If you can afford it and your child already plays Minecraft and wants to broaden their understanding of the game, or if they are new to Minecraft and want to learn the mechanics then sign up your child.

Very useful and enjoyable course

Python

My daughter found this course really engaging and fun. The instructor was very patient and worked to ensure an even pace in the group. She liked creating the games and programmes and sharing her work with the rest of the family.

Minecraft Engineering

Nathaniel absolutely loves Funtech's virtual camps. They are interactive, fun and he gets really excited by what he learns. He is already booked for the next holiday virtual camp!

Python coder

Very happy with the camp. We would consider a term-time coding course online.

My son Alex has very much enjoyed the course Roblox Game Developer. It was his second course with Funtech following Python Coder. Alex was really looking forward to learning how to develop a Roblox game. During the course, he learnt everything he needed to know about programming a Roblox game. He did not quite finish creating his first game by the end of the one-week course but he is certainly on track to complete the work on his own. Staff were really helpful and responsive to his needs and wishes on daily basis. Thank you very much!

I had two children on the course. It was perfect for my older child (12) who had some Python experience previously, so he enjoyed the new skills learned on this course. I would only recommend this course for younger children if they have the typing skills required and some knowledge of Python as it was a little bit tough for my 10 yo to keep up. He did however, learn about the world of Python and walked away with some amazing new skills to build on but required support from his parents during the week to keep up. Overall, the teachers were very helpful and stepped in every time someone needed help. I would definitely recommend FunTech half-time courses to parents as they a great way to give your children a chance to learn new skills.

Another fun part is that every day we have a 5 min Spam O' Clock and even sometimes get too annotate on our Tutor's screen but sadly that only happened once. Altogether it was a great camp and in my opinion it is better than Minecraft camp.

Great course. I learnt a lot of stuff and the course is well done. I liked the presentation of each function as it gave you a good understanding of the function. The Tutor always answered questions and when I finished the excercises there was always an extension to do. The extra excercises were good and at a good level. The first day was a bit of a mess but we caught up.

Going in depth has really made me open my eyes to the coding world and how it works. Altogether this was really fun and exciting and I would definitely recommend it to other children who want to improve their skills in coding!
