Thank you for a wonderful Game Design course. My 12 year old absolutely loved it. It sparked ideas and it was wonderful to see him experimenting and trying things after the session finished each day. This was our first attempt at an online camp and we will totally do it again. The instructor kept a great eye on all his pupils, and while he had videos to play he would stop them to explain and make sure everyone understood and no one was left behind. I was very impressed at how he coached 4-5 youngsters through fairly technical IT stuff. Having the virtual control of the desk top was brilliant.

William loved every single moment of his Minecraft coding course! He had never been to the UK before and we were a little nervous for him, but when we collected him he was so happy and said he’d made friends and couldn’t wait to come back the next day! He will be back next year for at least two courses!

Coding python

We were very happy with our son's holiday coding camp. He really enjoyed his week both from the technical point of view of what he learnt (starting as a beginner) and from the social point of view given the diversity of people in his batch. The teacher were very nice and approachable to the kids....

Full of fun, new friends, and learned a new skill

Our son did a residential camp and very much enjoyed the experience. He met some new friends, and learned a new skill along the way. It was great to have him there to take on the responsibilities of being independent for a week.

Touch Typing & Roblox Game Developer

My son had a great time at the above day camps. It really sparked his interest in Roblox, having previously been a mere player of games, as exciting to be able to create his own. The touch typing really reinforced his previous typing lessons - he also enjoyed the fun music!

Lyndon really enjoyed Python OOP. The camp was very well organised and very well run. The standard of tutor is very high. Lyndon has now been doing Funtech camps for 6 years! He has thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The offering is excellent - there is something to suit everyone from Minecraft to Roblox to Robotics and coding! Both children have loved trying out the different camps. The customer service of Funtech is really good too - they are very responsive and very helpful, going out their way to accommodate us. This year, we have particularly liked the format of the part-time virtual camps and would love to do more next year! Thanks very much Funtech!

The camps are very well organised, there is a good ratio of tutor to attendees and the tutors are all very engaging and knowledgeable. We are very impressed with Funtech which is why we keep coming back every year. This year, we have really liked the format of part time virtual camps - this has been great in breaking up the day and giving the children a very worthwhile activity where they are learning a lot. My 8 year old attended the online virtual camp this summer. I was originally a bit worried that I would have to stay with her the whole time to help her out when she became stuck- however I was pleasantly surprised she did the whole course without any assistance from myself at all. The tutor was excellent and managed to help her when she became stuck and my daughter said she really enjoyed the course and the biggest thing for me was I didn’t have to fight to get her to do it. I would def recommend for kids who love Roblox.

A great success

Both my boys were a little anxious beforehand, they did FunTyper and thought it might be a bit boring! But on day 2 they were desperate to get back to it, they loved it and are now asking to practice daily!

Great Week!

This is my daughter's second Funtech residential and she is planning her third! She thoroughly enjoyed herself, the course seems perfectly tailored to the right balance of learning and downtime.

We were looking for a tech oriented summer camp and came across Funtech's offering. We were intrigued by the hackathlon which seemed to align with our son's inclinations. We decided to give it a try, not sure if the level would be adequate nor if the overarching experience would be worth organising an international journey.
We were blown away. The whole thing is beautifully organised, the location is superb, the instructors extremely competent and going to a great length to ensure that kids leared and had fun.
Our son was so enthusiastic that he is already asking to go back next year. Rarely we had such an all-great feedback from him. He is thrilled, and so we are.

Fun Typer Touch typing Course

My son had a great time at the Fun typer camp. The games were engaging and the team were very supportive and encouraging and made sure he got to grips with the basics of Touch Typing. I would highly recommend the course and would not hesitate to send my son again in the future.

good fun for a 8 year old Minecraft fan

First coding camp my son has done and he loved it. Going in he was very familiar with Minecraft and had used some basic mod apps on an ipad but never used a laptop before and never used MCreator.

Best summer camp ever

Both my daughters attended. This is what they said: “We had a blast and all the tutors and staff are amazing. We never got bored though we spend most of the day coding. Every activity is fun”. They are happy, I am even more… your child learns and it’s tech fun and general activities fun.

My daughter has just completed a week of python coder level2 virtual course. It was a fairly last minute decision to book as I needed to use up some accumulated childcare vouchers that would expire on her 15th birthday (few months time). The booking system was straightforward and I was refunded once the vouchers had gone through.
The programs that were necessary to install prior to the course took around an hour- a little tricky due to the firewalls in the laptop.

The tutor was very professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Regular breaks given throughout the session, timings were perfect. A well organised course, thank you.

My 15 year old daughter enjoyed the experience and has asked to do the follow on course! She is pleased to have learnt a language that she will not be taught in school.

The teaching was good and the ration of 3-6 pupils meant that got the attention they needed.

Summer camp in Tondbridge

As always, Funtech did not disappoint. My Daughter attended the residential summer camp and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This was the second visit, and she will go there next year. I want to thank Funtech staff for organising this camp and giving kids the opportunity to learn and have fun.

Excellent experience

My daughter really enjoyed the advanced python course, having done the basic one two weeks earlier.
I was surprised at the level of coding she was able to do by the end of the course and it fits really well with what she has been/ will be doing at school.
Definitely recommend.

Thanks for a great course with our 10 year old son. It was his first online coding course and he loved it. The teacher kept him engaged and we were so impressed with our son's focus and astounded by what he managed to build within the week. It did exactly what it says on the tin and more, he is now super confident about building Roblox games and is continuing to build them. The structure was just right and the breaks well timed and the teacher was super patient with them all. Really recommend it and we look forward to completing more courses with Funtech.

My son really enjoyed it

I had to think carefully about this course as it isn't cheap...but my son genuinely enjoyed all of it and is a lot more confident with computing terminology and handling software generally. He had fun and learnt a lot and was enthused at the end of each day about what he'd been doing that day.

Tutors were attentive and gave her additional time, it is so important that girls can have future careers in tech and it starts without having their confidence knocked by those who have had more opportunities to test out their skills. My Daughter is keen to come back and learn more...so I am delighted that her first toe dip has been a successs and she would love a Minecraft design course aimed at secondary school age, if it is possible. Wonderful stay at Tonbridge School

It’s a great course and the tutor Nathan totally motivates my child’s passion on Python. Just after the 1st course, my child can not wait for the next one! Can we enrol Python 2 as soon as possible ? :)

We really enjoyed ourselves. It is brilliant that he is learning Python. I told him if he combines that with SQL, he is well on his way to always being solvent and able to work remotely internationally in any specialist field of his choice. The main thing is, Vincent had lots of fun and was thrilled to learn.

He spoke highly of the teachers and clearly enjoyed the company of his new found mates.

He did express one oddity to me and it's truth made me laugh. Vincent loves computers and modern technology. He experiences reasons to limit on screen time. At FunTech it was unfettered freedom to fully immerse into the universe that exist on screen with like minded everyone around him and without time limit.

Sheer bliss and freedom...

Fantastic learning experience

A second course and part 2 of Java coding.... a great experience for my son and although he found it tricky at the start of the week the team at funtech did everything possible to support his needs. Communication was excellent throughout the course and the tutoring support was outstanding.

Both my 10 year old and 7 year old completed the Roblox Designer camp this summer, after my eldest completed Minecraft Mod developer last year. They were delighted with the content, learned a lot and couldn’t contain their enthusiasm to show me their designs at the end of each day. Needless to say, they are already discussing which Funtech course to do next. Staff were friendly and helpful and the girls loved their instructors. Look forward to next summer!
