2023 Andrew's Funtech

This year was a fun and challenging year. I've learnt loads more about python, enough to make small programs. I found parts difficult but understood in the end. Funtech is amazing.

I enjoyed learning C++ throughout this year with FunTech, and using the programming language to write code and create whatever I wanted on my computer. I particularly enjoyed the logical, problem-solving part of writing code, when we were given a desired outcome and had to use the tools we were taught and try to figure out how to make the programme work. I also really liked making the games, because there was a concrete result at the end that I could interact with and show off to members of my family. I found some parts challenging, but it was rarely too difficult and I could always ask for and receive help if I needed it.

Overall, I had lots of fun during this course, and I also learned a lot.

My time with Funtech this year has been an amazing adventure, learning lots of useful things that will help me even in things outside of coding, I really enjoyed every moment of this year's fun journeys. I hope it carries on through the next year!

Great class!

The class was great, even though it was difficult, I learned a lot. I also enjoyed it a lot, debugging, finding errors, coding, it was all fun. The tutor is the best I've ever had.

I really enjoyed the PureCoder1 course, and I think I learned a lot. Everything was well explained and easy to understand. The challenges were also very doable.

I had a lot of fun learning Pyhton with you, even though my initial type of coding I wanted to learn was Lua, I've ended up enjoying Python a lot. Thankyou one again!

Amazing

This year I went into a new class with funtech, The previous year I had already had a course so I knew the how the lessons were structured already. I was greeted with a very enthusiastic and friendly tutor and the work was taylored exactly to what function you were learning.

Funtech

I appreciated the help that the tutors gave during the courses which helped me to further understand Word, Excel and MySQL. It helped me understand what commands meant and what they executed, not leaving me in the dark to learn by myself.

Enjoyable year!

I loved our tutor (she is hilarious)
I learned a lot during this year:

MySql Workbench

Overall this year is a 10/10 in my opinion

iGCSE Review

Doing the iGCSE course with FunTech was a good decision and a better alternative to doing it at school. All the teachers are helpful when you find something difficult and the work is challenging but not impossible.

FunTech Review

FunTech is amazing. The tutors are great, and the lessons are very clear. I find that they make the topics very easy to understand, and then give you opportunities to use that knowledge in short, but well made homework tasks and questions in the lesson.

Funtech python course review

I really enjoyed FunTech as it was a really enjoyable way to learn a interesting skill. The tutors are great and they give you help whenever you need it but also encourage you to try fix the problem on your own. It was a really fun year and I had a nice time learning to code.

In PC03, we applied the skills from PC01 and PC02 to create our own games using Pygame. We started by making red squares then slowly built up to harder and better things like healthbars and characters. After we learnt how to make our games, we learnt how to make them multiplayer with socket. We learnt all the principles in basic networking and it was a definite 5-star for me. The tutor was really nice, guiding me through bits I got wrong and I'm excited for PC04!

my year doing procoder has left me with the basic ability to code using python. I have always wanted to code, but every time I tried to learn I would become overwhelmed and confused. At Funtech I did not. I really enjoyed a loved the system used to teach and the lesson were always fun, except sometimes I would notice that there was maybe one to many recap lessons. my first 2 terms were private due to joining late and my teacher was really good at what he did, making me look forward to lessons. this continued into term 3. thank you very much for teaching me.

Fun and interesting!

We've covered such a wide range of topics over the year and I found the lessons well-paced and well designed. The tutors were really helpful and attentive and I feel like I've learnt a lot! I especially enjoyed the later topics on designing mini-games and tkinter too. Thank you! :)

Very good term

The ideas and coding learnt from this year was very fun to go through and is able to be transferred to many different libraries other than the PyGame we have learnt. In all it was a good year and a fun topic to finish on
