Mindcraft Redstone Camp - Hammersmith

Hello - I just wanted to let you know that AJ thoroughly enjoyed this camp and really liked the instructor who seemed to be very engaged with the students and truly car what they were learning. We will definitely be back!

Tapped into my daughter’s creativity..

My daughter has been attending Funtech courses for past 3 years and has shown great progress and enthusiasm each time. She loved having an outlet for her creativity this time around, designing her own game rather than passively playing someone else’s.

Fully expect to return next year!

As per usual, my daughter really enjoyed her week at Funtech. Like last year, great teachers, interesting content and she was super enthusiastic about the ‘dimension’ she created at the end. Expect to return next summer!

Really rewarding

Our son loved this course, it really piques their interest in how networks and interactions work. Hopefully he won't be on the FBIs most wanted list now. In all seriousness though, he really wants to come back and loved interacting with the other kids, thanks for all the 1:1 support!

Amazing experience

This was our daughters first ever technical course. She found it exceptionally rewarding, learning the basics of configuration and instilled a keeness to try all the other courses. Thanks Felix for all your support!

My 13 yo had a fun filled week. He had a small group and they whizzed through the work, thoroughly enjoying the content. Thank you for keeping him occupied chatting to like minded minecraft fans!

Excellent course

The course was well-run, fun and informative. He made lots of new friends and enjoyed every minute of the long days! Worth every penny! We will be back next year for the third time!

Great course, great staff

My son had a lovely time doing this course which he found so interesting. The tutor made him feel at ease. It was unfortunate that my son’s computer was playing up at the beginning but the team did an excellent job helping him fix it!

The coding was fun. The activities were challenging, but I was given support when I needed it. This also helped me with my computing GCSE, because I learned new things and revised older things.

I have learned a lot about Python and using it too, and lots of challenges that made it really amusing such as rock paper scissors.

This week was really interesting and I got to learn some more advanced code than what I already knew and the tutor explained everything really well to me. All in all I had a fantastic week.

101% recommending this course to anybody, whether you know Minecraft, or you don't.
They even give you some time to build some of your own things, like mazes, rollercoasters, houses, and sometimes even with redstone in it!

I have had so much fun, even though I have spent 5 years playing Minecraft I (previously) knew nothing about redstone, well that was until this came along!

Thank you SO much FunTech for this camp! It was so, so, so worth it and parents, you should 100% get this course for your child!

Python Programming FunTech - Aksharra

I really liked FunTech's approach to beginner coding in Python. With the support from the staff and the detailed videos I comprehended this programming language extremely fast.

Fun and appropriately challenging.

I had a lot of fun during the course and learnt a lot. I liked the fact that there were harder extensions after the main learning.

I found these sessions fun because of the lovely layout of the course, with engaging questions and activities to back up the fun and useful concepts we learned!

Unity

It was a great camp where I expanded my knowledge of using Unity, along with plenty of challenges and extensions to test it out. The recap challenges and the final project at the end were a fun way to review everything I'd learned throughout the course.

This was actually one of my favourite courses I have done at FunTech, it amazed me how much we covered however how much we could actually understand (which was all of it). This was due to the excellent tutor explaining every topic in detail and answering any of our questions, as well as the well-structured course that gradually gets harder and harder. While it may not teach you how to make a trending 2024 3D game, it teaches you the basics in depth to allow to you progress and possibly even make a trending game in the (far) future.

Competent

It was nice. I found it rather difficult, but I think that was just Python being Python, though it got easier towards the end. I think my coding skills significantly improved.

Before this camp I barely knew how to write one line of code. Now I can make many things such as calculators, games, and other useful tools using python. Would recommend.

FunTech reveiw

I went to the funtech camp for 1 week. I enjoyed it a lot, made lots of friends and learnt a lot of things. On the second day, I was struggling to keep up with the class, but when I asked the teacher for help I was immedietly assisted and got help for the rest of the week. Amazing. -5 Stars
