I really enjoyed learning( even though it was in the holidays )and I feel like I have improved a lot which is going to be very helpful for my gcse. the course has a nice structure to it which I like. :)

FunTech Camp Review

Sid had a great time at Funtech and learnt so much about coding.
I think he will want to do the next stage next year so please send me info as soon as you have the new set of dates for next summer.

It is great course

My son had a lot of fun and learned lots of new skills. They had many different projects. We are extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff is both helpful and considerate, making me comfortable recommending this course to all.

Lyndon really enjoyed part 2 of Python - OOP. The tutor, Nathan, was great - really patient, very knowledgeable and engaging. He really inspired Lyndon and his enthusiasm was infectious. Lyndon is looking forward to more courses next year. A huge thanks to Funtech for running this course for him - this is his 6th year of Funtech and he is a huge fan. I really enjoyed the week. The tutor was really engaging and I felt able to use what I was learning to make fun projects and find creative solutions to problems.

Exetremely enjoyable and interesting

Over the course of this week, I have learnt a multitude of things that made python alot easier and made my Python experience better, teaching me a large range of things that expanded my knowledge from 3 to 7 at least. Thanks, will do again in the future

Lyndon really enjoyed Python OOP. The camp was very well organised and very well run. The standard of tutor is very high. Lyndon has now been doing Funtech camps for 6 years! He has thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The offering is excellent - there is something to suit everyone from Minecraft to Roblox to Robotics and coding! Both children have loved trying out the different camps. The customer service of Funtech is really good too - they are very responsive and very helpful, going out their way to accommodate us. This year, we have particularly liked the format of the part-time virtual camps and would love to do more next year! Thanks very much Funtech!

The camp was very enjoyable I was able to learn a lot and the atmosphere was primed for learning.

Brilliant Tutor

I was a bit sceptical over this course because I'm not one who enjoys camps. But thanks to my tutor Shuj who made the lesson feel much more chilled and entertaining. I was able to get the full enjoyment of the course and learn a lot of things.

OOP Day camp

Our son enjoyed this course, once again. This year he has also hugely enjoyed the residential experience in Tonbridge.

We really enjoyed ourselves. It is brilliant that he is learning Python. I told him if he combines that with SQL, he is well on his way to always being solvent and able to work remotely internationally in any specialist field of his choice. The main thing is, Vincent had lots of fun and was thrilled to learn.

He spoke highly of the teachers and clearly enjoyed the company of his new found mates.

He did express one oddity to me and it's truth made me laugh. Vincent loves computers and modern technology. He experiences reasons to limit on screen time. At FunTech it was unfettered freedom to fully immerse into the universe that exist on screen with like minded everyone around him and without time limit.

Sheer bliss and freedom...

Very good, high quality course

The course fully covered OOP with plenty of practice questions and exercises in order to keep the skills in your memory, as well as covering a lot of GUI with Tkinter. Overall amazing course!

It was very good!

I liked all the work we did with Tkinter as it was quite fun and everyday I managed to learn a lot and understood most of the content and tried my best to understand and work on the projects.

I have learnt alot

I barely knew any python before this course but now I feel very confident in my ability to code. The videos could have been better but if there was something I did not understand than Luke would understand it very clearly

The Python - OOP course was quite advanced knowledge wise but also enjoyable at the same time. All the tutors, especially Luke, were exceptionally kind, funny and very helpful in times of need (when doing python). Even the "screen-free" breaks were nice and I made some new friends. The python knowledge was quite hard to understand at first but FunTech helped me understand it well and I know most of it now.

It was really fun and I learned a lot.

I had a really good time with both the activities at lunch and the coding. I learned a lot and really upgraded my skills in python. The tutors helped me when I needed it but I was also allowed to figure things out for myself. Overall, it was a great experience!

The lessons were secure, but there was also opportunities for students to set their own challenges and test their abilities themselves. The lunch and evening activities created a great sense of community.

I learned how to make GUI in Python with object orientated programming and I can make really cool things in Python without needing to make shapes with characters in the console.

I enjoyed learning GUI programming with my instructors. They helped me with working through the challenges and extensions, and in the end I was able to make some programs where I made an illusion of rain falling, drawing a house, making a box and moving it around on the screen. I'm excited for the Game Developer course, where I hopefully get to use my OOP skills to make more impressive programs.
