Sam, John and Teague were very nice and the content for hacking was fun and had good content. Sam was a great teacher who was nice to me and Arnav I will remember this course for a long time. Plus I learned a lot thanks to Sam, John and Teague. But unfortunately there were a few technical difficulties. In whole everything was great and fun.

It teaches you how to hack different Linux servers and websites through vulnerabilities, social exploitation, password hashing through different checksums, remote connections between two computers, how to mount folders onto servers so you can access data, using programs l

It's a pretty great course. It teaches you how to hack different Linux servers and websites through vulnerabilities, social exploitation, password hashing through different checksums, remote connections between two computers, how to mount folders onto servers so you can access data, using programs like hydra, BeEF, OWASP ZAP, metasploit, nmap, enum4linux, john the ripper, samba and hashcat. The course also has a detailed reference guide which is useful if you forget a specific command. This course also teaches you how to fully work around the Linux command line and make everything from folders to .PHP files. This is a very large, comprehensive, educational and engaging course that I'd definitely recommend to anyone interested in Linux, computer coding and hacking. Thank you David, the best and coolest Funtech teacher anyone could ever ask for.

Worth it? Definitely.

Excellent camp of hacking

This funtech course was very interesting and educational, I've learnt how to crack passwords, hack into accounts and edit files all early stages of using white hat hacking. We used linux operating system using the bot kali which helped us with built in commands. Our teacher David was amazing, great

This funtech course was very interesting and educational, I've learnt how to crack passwords, hack into accounts and edit files all early stages of using white hat hacking. We used linux operating system using the bot kali which helped us with built in commands. Our teacher David was amazing, great fun and a brilliant teacher as he was helpful understanding and overall good at troubleshooting any problems. Was a great course again and you should definitely do it. It can get sometimes a little rough but you have to figure out where you go wrong which is what hacking is all about. In addition during the breaks, we would play in the playground and play games such has werewolf or more commonly known as mafia in the classrooms (very exciting in the dark ;) ). In doing this we got to socialise with other people in different classes and I have even made some friends who I've been granted consent to contact and play games with. It was a very fun camp and I highly recommend.

I entered the course with some poor expectations, but, I was persuaded to enjoy it with an interesting course, friendly classmates, and charismatic tutors.
Overall I enjoyed my time here.

Amazing Course

This is an amazing course. It helps us learn how to truly hack. It also teaches us how to protect ourselves against hackers. I will consider to do another course. Although, it had some problems with unmannered peers. Although we still learned the whole course and it was amazing. Thank you!

I really enjoyed this week, and our instructor Joe was incredibly helpful and kind. I will100% recommend this course to my friends. It has been my favorite camp by far. Thank you Joe and the FunTech team for such a good time!!!

Sorta fun but learned a lot.

I learned a lot from this course about cybersecurity and hacking and made friends who have similar interests. I recommend this to teens and tweens who love tech and want to push themselves and stay safe at the same time.

Joe is a very good teacher.

Lessons have been easy and simple to understand. As said before, Joe is a very good teacher and deserves a promotion.

the course was very good we learned a lot but i think we could have put our new skills to good use by working as a team of hackers to hack the Minecraft kids as our show and tell

The accomplished tutor has guided us through the ravines of Kali Linux, Vegan Beef and HAIL HYDRA throughout this week long course. The Distinguished tutor has left us with a greater understanding of the threats and vulnerabilities we face in the modern world nowadays and how to prevent them from affecting us. This kind gesture has taught us how vulnerabilities are exploited to gain access to others computers and steal information. The course was really engaging and an educational, productive and fun way to spend a week. I would rate this course 11/10!!!

An Amazing Experience

Funtech is an exceptional company and personally, I genuinely enjoyed doing the Cybersecurity Hackathon course for several reasons. Not only was the tutor excellent, by helping us out considerably when stuck, but it was engaging and taught me new skills that enhanced my computer science experience.

Funtech is an exceptional company and personally, I genuinely enjoyed doing the Cybersecurity Hackathon course for several reasons. Not only was the tutor excellent, by helping us out considerably when stuck, but it
was engaging and taught me new skills that enhanced my computer science experience.
1. Learning how to ethically hack was interesting as we were starting to explore the darker side to technology and what to be wary of, e.g viruses and how people can crack your passwords
2. My tutor kept the lesson engaging by ensuring that we all understood the work as well as giving us useful tips and fun facts throughout the week
3. As the course wasn't overly easy or hard, I felt as if we were being challenged enough to learn useful skills from the course but at the same time it wasn't impossible to complete.
4. By learning how to execute commands like nmap, ping, grep, ifconfig, we also learnt how to apply it in real life scenarios and it also meant that we can look out for any weaknesses of the code and any way hackers could potentially hack into.
By the end of this course, I am proud to admit that I have all the skills a hacker would need but I have learnt to use them safely and in legal purposes only. This course will be exponentially useful to me in the future as I begin to learn more about coding and computers and head into the workplace.
Who knows? Maybe one day I will look back and realize that my love for coding stemmed from Funtech?
Having taken several Funtech courses since the age of 9, I believe that the course I have just completed was my favourite as it was not just educational, but fun as well.
The lead tutor deserves credit for managing all the behind the scenes work as well as making my time here enjoyable as well as joining our whole group in several games of cards. (always fun!)

Over the duration of this onerous but edifying and enriching course, our tutor, Dr. D, was extremely engaged, and effervescing with jubilant exultation, with an incandescent, flamboyant passion for the topic. He clearly elucidated the complex subject matters covered by this intriguing programme of study with great delineation, synchronous to the contemporaneous context of the lesson. The undercurrent of this tutorial period was one of intricate instruction and meticulous guidance from an educator with fervent and unbifurcated vision of accomplishment. Some of the areas of cyber-security covered over this week included: Vegan Beef and Hydra. Dr. D was infused with incredulous intellectual devotion and assisted us in the discovery of the espionage of the notorious FunTech Overlords, and of their discreet and inconspicuous recording devices. The lead-tutor at this camp also managed to teach us a Taiwanese card game that transformed into a contest.

The first day i found to be quite hard and could not keep up. I found that it was very hard. The second day Tuesday we started learning skills that i could understand and i gained a natural rhythm of how to get in a computer, and i became able to to take the passwords off the computer. Wednesday

Wednesday i could decode coded passwords. This is written Thursday and today have learnt how to upload viruses.
Over time this camp became better and i had a lot of fun.
