Fun and enjoyable

The content of the course was great, especially creating my own game.

loved it!

The teachers and supervisers wrere lovely and understanding we did minecraft coding and i certainly loved my time here at funtech!

The game!

it has been fun with the awesome teem is fantastic it is very interesting and using the make code to help us additionally we did two projects which are fun and i would defiantly recommend fun tech good job funtech :) .

Previously I have completed 5 Funtech courses this potentially being my last and through my time at Funtech I have learnt so much due to the small dedicated classes and specialist teachers that don't always feel like teachers and more like friends making it seem as if you are having fun with friends whilst you are learning giving you the perfect mix of spending time with a screen and spending time with people a similar ages to you. I originally started my Funtech journey a while before covid when I was completing a day course in scratch then it went to Lego robotics then python we then had covid which gave me a break from coding then I started last year it was my first residential coding course where I was further advancing my python knowledge and now when I am doing the hackathon course I have been able to use similar thinking to allow me to progress quickly through different tasks and for the additional residential activities they are amazing this includes the variety of facilities and equipment that I have access to this then allowing me to form friendships with most of the class plus the knowledge that I have learnt has given me a new way of thinking allowing me to look at computer science as fun not work letting me progress with higher grades in my GCSE's which would be brilliant potentially giving me a life long career in computer science as I am currently interested in going to a-level if not a university masters degree. I would highly recommend sending your child to any Funtech course and I can guarantee that they will enjoy there course activities and much more.

The week was great, interactive and interesting the course goes through the basics as well as some slightly more advanced but simple codes. The tutors help every time you need and are up for any questions you throw at them and keep you entertained throughout the breaks as well as enjoying your time with you.

For the course it is THE BEST course that I've ever done and takes the most complex codes and breaks them down throughout five days.

Funtech overall is great even one evening hosting a gaming tournament for both day and residential students.

Fun Tech Camp Review

I think over all this camp was this camp was amazing all of the staff was nice, the food was delicious and you have lots and lots of fun.

Very enjoyable and worthwhile experience

I really enjoyed most of my time in the camp. The lessons were interactive, very educational and fun. I learnt quite a lot in the space of the week. I made loads of amazing friends and an absolute blast. They help you with everything, in lesson and out. Lunchtime breaks always had energetic and fun activities and game time (17:00-21:00/22:00 depending on age) were always an enjoyable and calming time playing pool, football, basketball with friends or crashing on the couch watching your phone, TV or playing board games with friends. Would go again.

Worthwhile experience

Very good and learnt a lot. Recommend it a lot and cool teachers. The teachers are highly qualified and clever as well as nice. By doing this course you are being taught by geniuses especially Tom. Tom is a very good teaher.
Highly recommended.

THE FUNTECH CAMP IS COOL

The lunches are yummy in my tummy, good activities and the teachers join in as well and we learn lots of coding. Good, Fun and good Teaching.Great camp.

Engaging and entertaining

The course was fun and educational. Our accommodation, food and entertainment after hours was great. I would recommend this camp for computer science enthusiasts!

My daughter had wonderful experience and enjoyed learning coding skills. She hopes to do Part 2 for a challenge.

Great course for Minecraft enthusiasts!

My 10 year old really enjoyed this course. It was a great activity for him to round off the summer holiday. He is already asking to book on to the next level!

The final 2 days were about putting what we had learned into practise through a few fun projects. This course has been a really useful way to learn more about Unreal Engine as it is a helpful environment to learn in with a tutor always ready to answer any questions you may have.

I was doing the hackathon course and as someone who has never hacked before I did not know what to expect other than that it would be hard. Even though I had no experience of hacking, Tom and Seb helped me a ton with hacking and always come to my aid with insightful and full responses to my many questions. I also really liked how every hour we get a 15 minute break of social games away from the computer. I really enjoyed playing mafia and splat. I was surprised at how spacious the rooms were and and the fact that we get one room per person. The food was also good and lunch activities were also fun. My only pet peeve is that they did not let us order food but Its not that big of a deal. In conclusion, I really recommend going to this camp if you want to have an amazing time and still somehow learn a lot and meet a bunch of new people.

This is just a very helpful course which has definitely taught me some aspects of python way ahead of schedule for my GCSEs :))

i loved this one it was fun making games ect making the bot do things aswell some bits were long and tricky i got through it eventually by the help of my tutor! :)

This course had been very fun and interesting and I believe that I have learnt quite a lot. The tutor went over the things I found a bit difficult, which helped a lot. Overall, it was a very fun course and I enjoyed it.

I thought that it was very fun! We did a lot of stuff and I really enjoyed it. It was great!
We covered lots of things that you need to make a game, like
camera controllers, movement controllers, tilemaps, animations and a few other things.
It was very good.

Funtech Pythob OOP part 2 camp (online)

Good, nice explaning and pacing through out the course making it alot easier to digest and remeber. Able to do things i thought i couldnt do. Good teacher who was patient and wanting to help us learn the most we could even when I was been challenging.

A very interesting course which taught me a lot of important concepts surrounding game design and gave me the opportunity to learn valuable skills and put them into practice by designing and creating games

It is a good course that will be catered to your skill levels. You get a lot done over the period of a week and you will learn new skills every day. If you are stuck you get all the help and support you need.

Brilliant camp and I learnt a lot from it

The Python coder P2 course was extremely fun as I got to learn about lots of things , such as for loops, algorithms and lists. I would definitely do something like this again.
