It made me a much better typer than I even thought I would become but the breaks should be shorter

Good camp

I personally like the camp only the games can be a little hard but other than that it is amazing.
You can do coding and scratch if you want.

It was fun because I have dyslexia so in secondary I'm probably going to get a computer for English so I will need to learn how to touch-type quickly. It was also fun because they were fun games but with touch-typing.

A challenging fun experience.

The python camp that i was in was very fun and it was a very fun challenge.

Funtech

I recommend Funtech because it helps you learn a lot of important things about coding like you need indents, and & or statements, variables, loops, input, elif statements and many more things. You also make up fun games.

I think FunTech is really good and that they teach you everything that you need to know in 1 week. I'd say that it was the best camp I've ever been to. Also, they make sure that you understand and give you help you if you need it. It was the most amazing week.Lastly it was SO FUN!

I like the scratch and the Ozobots, I liked the English computers. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the weather: it was far too hot!

I have really enjoyed my five-day course. The tutor, Alex knows when you need help and when to push you. He especially has helped me with creating rising lava. The games we play in the breaks are fun and I think it is a really good idea for the people from the other groups to be able to play test...

I have really enjoyed my five-day course. The tutor, Alex knows when you need help and when to push you. He especially has helped me with creating rising lava. The games we play in the breaks are fun and I think it is a really good idea for the people from the other groups to be able to play test our games. Construct 2 is intuitive yet can be used for many things. I would recommend this course to anyone who loves video games and dreams of making their own.

I LOVE IT!

I think that FunTech is the best summer camp ever because they teach you everything you kneed to know about Scratch and Ozobot. Ozobots are very small and delicate. But the weather was too hot.

It is spectaculer and I really enjoyed playing with the ozobots.

I typed and played fun games on the computer and played in the playground at break. The teacher is good. I'm glad I came!!!!

I very much enjoyed this week at Funtech. I made lots of new friends and became more confident with my coding skills. My favorite day of the week was Wednesday as my friend and I made a really fun maths game. I also enjoyed learning with the ozobots, although I was terrible at it. The teachers were very supportive and even if you had never done scratch in your life, they would explain the exercise very clearly and by the end of the week you would feel like the smartest person in the world!!!

T'was extremely fun.

This was an extremely fun course, the tutors Hamza and Aidan are very nice, and Lewis the Laptop were very helpful. All I knew about python before was 'print' and variables, but now know if,else, and else-if's, as well as many other things. In conclusion, Fantastic!

The tutors were really nice and helpful. The course was really helpful and helped me understand python. I enjoyed doing else-if statements and my quiz. Hamza was a very good tutor, Aidan was very helpful and Lewis (the computer) was very supportive!

Funtech is an amazing place where you are free to play on computers without your parents nagging you to get of the internet. I loved all the things that they do and the tutours are so nice to me. this place in reading is a really friendly place with kind people who care about us.I rated 5 stars because I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove it so much and I will miss my friends when its time to stop it. I have loved making mods with the tutours and making new friends but my favourite part of it was when we made our ghost blocks and when we defeted the enderdragon in minecraft.

I really have liked this course.

AMAZING

An amazing camp that I would come to again

In some ways this was achieved as the camp definitely gave me an interest in Java coding and has made me wan...

This was the first holiday camp I have been to so I am unsure of how good Funtech is compared to other camps.
I had expected writing a lot of code and gaining a great understanding of it. In some ways this was achieved as the camp definitely gave me an interest in Java coding and has made me want to continue progressing my coding skills after the week. I personally think that this made the course worth while but I had been hoping to be focussing more on learning hard code than just enjoying time playing games or doing basic coding. Yes, of course one does need to start with the basics and this was good but I had expected that, for so much money, I would at least have a chance to become a bit more of a pro with Java.
One of the main reasons I say this is because we would finish all of the content planned for that day at about lunchtime or slightly afterward. This meant that we spent quite a lot of time on making games (which was very fun and was good practice) that could have been spent on possibly learning more code and progressing our knowledge.
Overall, price aside, the camp was great. There was a good balance between having fun and learning code despite the fact that I would have liked to learn slightly more.
The staff were all very nice; especially our teacher 'Kevin'.
In conclusion, a big thank you to Funtech. It was a fun week and gave me a good interest and foundation to Java.

Funtech was an amazing experience and I learned a huge amount about the game-making-industry and Unreal Engine. They provided great help when I needed it and I enjoyed making my games. I would highly recommend this course.
