Excellent camp that my child thoroughly enjoyed

My child attended a half term camp. It was really fun for her and she has developed a love of coding. She came out happy each day, and wants to do more!

Excellent course

My son did part 1 and 2 which we highly recommend. A perfect introduction to Python coding. My son thoroughly enjoyed the pace and having no previous experience in Python he is amazed at what he is now able to create. Having the option of virtual camps suits our family and especially him. Worth

Our kids were doing the intermediate python and LUA courses this summer. Unfortunately, we suffered a power outage in our village and within minutes, the customer service team at FunTech were on the case and proactively reaching out to us parents to check everything was okay. Our kids were doing the intermediate python and LUA courses this summer. Unfortunately, we suffered a power outage in our village and within minutes, the customer service team at FunTech were on the case and proactively reaching out to us parents to check everything was okay. Not only did they ensure that our kids didn’t fall behind during the outage, but they also made tutors available early the next day for an additional private catch up lesson. Just brilliant service, super friendly and great content! We will definitely be back for further courses in future holidays!

Python Level one course - brilliant!

Both of our kids attended the beginner, python course during the summer holidays. The instructor was great, coursework was varied and interesting. Both of our kids thoroughly enjoyed it!

Hi Kaya really enjoyed the course, she came home stimulated each day and really improved her coding skills beyond what we had been doing at home. She is inspired to continue coding and Funtech provided her a fantastic foundation in Python that we will build upon. She will definitely be back!

Lara enjoyed the Python class. It was her first time doing Python and coding that isn't Scratch Junior. The instructors were great -- energetic and encouraging. She had fun coding programs and was excited about having me try them at the end of each day.

This is the fourth or fifth virtual course she has done, in addition to a couple of day camps before the pandemic, and she has always enjoyed them and said that she learns a lot.

Great Course for a Summer Camp

My son wasn't keen on doing this class in the beginning because he wanted to be on his ps5 all day but by day 2 he started to get into it. He said he enjoyed it and looking forward to signing up for Python Level 3

We were very happy with our son's holiday coding camp. He really enjoyed his week both from the technical point of view of what he learnt (starting as a beginner) and from the social point of view given the diversity of people in his batch. My son had an amazing time learning Python coding and socialising with other kids in a very exciting and stimulating environment. Fantastic team of tutors and leaders!

Best summer camp ever

Both my daughters attended. This is what they said: “We had a blast and all the tutors and staff are amazing. We never got bored though we spend most of the day coding. Every activity is fun”. They are happy, I am even more… your child learns and it’s tech fun and general activities fun.

It was a fairly last minute decision to book as I needed to use up some accumulated childcare vouchers that would expire on her 15th birthday (few months time). The booking system was straightforward and I was refunded once

It was a fairly last minute decision to book as I needed to use up some accumulated childcare vouchers that would expire on her 15th birthday (few months time). The booking system was straightforward and I was refunded once the vouchers had gone through.
The programs that were necessary to install prior to the course took around an hour- a little tricky due to the firewalls in the laptop.

The tutor was very professional, engaging and knowledgeable. Regular breaks given throughout the session, timings were perfect. A well organised course, thank you.

My kids did 3 weeks of courses combined and they all enjoyed very much.

Excellent experience

My daughter really enjoyed the advanced python course, having done the basic one two weeks earlier.
I was surprised at the level of coding she was able to do by the end of the course and it fits really well with what she has been/ will be doing at school.
Definitely recommend.

Tutors were attentive and gave her additional time, it is so important that girls can have future careers in tech and it starts without having their confidence knocked by those who have had more opportunities to test out their skills. My Daughter is keen to come back and learn more...so I am delighted that her first toe dip has been a successs and she would love a Minecraft design course aimed at secondary school age, if it is possible. Wonderful stay at Tonbridge School

It’s a great course and the tutor Nathan totally motivates my child’s passion on Python. Just after the 1st course, my child can not wait for the next one! Can we enrol Python 2 as soon as possible ? :)

Interesting course with great instructors

My 12 year old daughter and her friend thoroughly enjoyed the course with good care and coaching from the FunTech instructors. Highly recommended. Great accommodation for working parents.

This is the second Funtech course that my daughter has done. The first (2 years ago) was good, but this time was much better. The technical learning was complemented by interesting and new (e.g. scuba diving) group activities, encouraging social interactions. The instructors prevented distraction by locking away his phone and restricting web access.

My son has already asked if he can do another Funtech camp next year. He learnt a great deal in a week and wants to carry on using Python. The tutor to pupil ratio was excellent and the instruction very helpful. We felt the camp overall was well run and a safe place for our child to be.

My son took a one week virtual camp on Python. He absolutely loved it and learned lots.
At then end of each day, he could not wait to tell me all about it, every detail!
It was a small group and the tutor was also very engaging. Great experience which I recommend.

My son is not a gaming boy as such so was worried, he wouldn't be interested. However, this course was great for him. He thoroughly enjoyed it and was self-sufficient once all the software was loaded. Loading of software was a little challenging which is understandable given everyone has a different

We found it worked best on a PC.

Would definitely recommend. It was engaging, the learning of a good skill and a great way to keep them occupied through the holidays!

The coding lessons seems well- structured, could be better to spend a bit time in each day to explain the learning objects and outcomes, and have a summary at the end of each lesson for study focus. There are some teaching contents delivered by direct recorded videos, which seems not very effect

There are some teaching contents delivered by direct recorded videos, which seems not very effective and kids may think they are not very interesting. Hand-on projects are embedded in the lesson which is very good, maybe some blend in more quiz or mini games in a group setting could keep students more concentrated in the study.

Python Virtual Coding Camp

My 12 year old son thoroughly enjoyed attending. He selected the part-time, 2 week course. This worked well throughout the summer holidays. The teacher (Musaab) was great with the children. Overall, a well ran course with excellent support. We will be signing up to the next one.
