We began on Monday by experimenting with different meshes and first player view. As the week went on, we progressed onto more complex techniques such as foliage, dialogue and landscapes. The final 2 days were about putting what we had learned into practise through a few fun projects. This course has been a really useful way to learn more about Unreal Engine as it is a helpful environment to learn in with a tutor always ready to answer any questions you may have.

I had a really fun time learning about unreal engine and completing tasks which lead up to the last, where you put all your skills together to make a game of your own, my tutor, Nilan, was very helpful and helped me when I got stuck. Overall, I had a really good time doing this camp!

I really enjoyed this camp because of all the amazing things you could do after just a small amount of practice and learning. By the second day, I was already making a realistic looking 3D platformer with trees, grass mountains and lots more. Before this I thought that making a simple 3D game was a gruelling task that took days or months, but now I know that after this course, you can make one in a matter of minutes or hours.

My week at Fun Tech was entertaining my tutor was very helpful and I got to make a lot of games that had complex challenges.

Great course, great staff

My son had a lovely time doing this course which he found so interesting. The tutor made him feel at ease. It was unfortunate that my son’s computer was playing up at the beginning but the team did an excellent job helping him fix it!

It was a fun and productive camp and it you needed help you would get it almost immediately. What we leant in the camp is combining shapes on Unreal Engine, making a pyramid, physics, landscape, foliating, lighting, changing the color of the light, blueprint and lastly making fun and unique project

3D Game Design

My 10-year old son attended this course each morning of half-term. He was a little apprehensive to begin with but the instructor (Sam) was very friendly and able and put him at ease. My son said that the lessons flew just like when he's actually gaming!

Good the entire week, I have really liked my obby and have enjoyed this course.

Every single day of the week was an element building towards my parkour run, which has really made me enjoy this course; I will miss this course including all the funny people.

The camp was so entertaining for my daughter and she really liked it. She made some really cool games and showed them to me and I played them. It was a lovely camp and I feel like she learned a lot.
