I really liked this fun tech camp this year, especially with my known friend Campbell coming. This year I thought the 3D Gaming experience was amazing! 5/5 The lunch time break I really liked as well (especially the water well) 5/5. But the reason I put the rating of FunTech for 4 stars is, at First and last break where we played Frisbee inside.

I think the summer Camp was really fun and the teachers were all really supportive and answered questions well. The first day was a bit of a struggle because everyone was still figuring out how to work the program. Apart from this the days got better when we had more free time to explore the different settings and parts of this program. sometimes it was hard when everyone was going at a different pace and we were still waiting for others to get to this stage. I would recommend this and would definitely come again.

As, it can be very basic at the beginning of the course, but it evolves quickly into more elaborate programs. my tutor was really good. He made us do extra stuff and gave us extension tasks if we had finished.

AMAZING

I a love fun tech because I've never done scratch before and I learnt so much in only five days I wish I can do this camp again. I love the teachers and the students around me. My only tip is why do we do sports in the sports hall? I mean it is fun but this is a coding camp, not a sports camp.

It was awesome , I learnt lots of great skills that I can use in minecraft later, it is really fun because you make loads of friends that you have loads of laughs with.I'd recommend Funtech to anyone even if you have no experience in the course that you want to do.
I'd come again, definitly.

It was very fun and enjoyable. We also learnt a lot of new skills that we can use in minecraft. At break times its fun to play with friends and have some snacks. I'd recommend Funtech to everybody and I'd definitely come again.

I think it is a very good camp in general but the only reason why I chose 4 stars is because there are quite a lot of rules for example we're not allowed to join each others worlds, but I have learned many things 90% of what they taught me from day two onward was new information

It was good but as there was a variety of abilities in the class it was a bit slow moving. I think to help prevent this in future the age limit should be increased. However, I have learnt a lot and enjoyed it a lot.

Gaining a lot of information

I was tutored by Kevin and Nathan and I have learned a lot on how to program games using the Python language. I think I could potentially use this in the future or when I get bored and have nothing better to do. ;)

My Review

I learnt a few new things and the coolest thing I made was a rocket launcher that makes lightning.

It was amazing

Louis and Lucas were a huge help and gave us loads of advice when we got stuck. The only bad thing is that it could have been more detailed; i.e. AI characters, other 3D models, creating textures etc.

Good, Could Improve

Great to Learn all the types of things you can create, I Really enjoyed learning about how to use User Input.
It was AMAZING! Did 3D Game Design once aswell, this was definitely better taught. You could improve by letting us on the 2nd to last/last day make an epic Game. Loved It!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has been a good experience. Before, this course I was doubting it was going to be annoying and a waste of money, so it was much better than I thought it was going to be. I liked it because the staff are very supportive and nice. They set you challenges for you to do so you understand it more and they help a lot. The only reason why I don't like it is because I think they should set the courses in better set year groups . I also think that the 1 hour break is too long. But other than that, this has been and excellent experience.

I have to be honest, when I came, I didn't think I was going to enjoy myself. However, I was thoroughly proved wrong! Our teachers Aaron and Lewis have been soooo amazing and have really helped me to find my way around the computer and get used to new and exciting game designing software! I have really enjoyed making my game and the parts that I did find a little challenging, my teachers talked me through it step by step! This has been an excellent week of my summer far better than my expectations and I look forward to trying another course!

I liked it all!

I like the scratch and the Ozobots, I liked the English computers. The one thing I didn't enjoy was the weather: it was far too hot!

This was the first holiday camp I have been to so I am unsure of how good Funtech is compared to other camps.
I had expected writing a lot of code and gaining a great understanding of it. In some ways this was achieved as the camp definitely gave me an interest in Java coding and has made me want to continue progressing my coding skills after the week. I personally think that this made the course worth while but I had been hoping to be focussing more on learning hard code than just enjoying time playing games or doing basic coding. Yes, of course one does need to start with the basics and this was good but I had expected that, for so much money, I would at least have a chance to become a bit more of a pro with Java.
One of the main reasons I say this is because we would finish all of the content planned for that day at about lunchtime or slightly afterward. This meant that we spent quite a lot of time on making games (which was very fun and was good practice) that could have been spent on possibly learning more code and progressing our knowledge.
Overall, price aside, the camp was great. There was a good balance between having fun and learning code despite the fact that I would have liked to learn slightly more.
The staff were all very nice; especially our teacher 'Kevin'.
In conclusion, a big thank you to Funtech. It was a fun week and gave me a good interest and foundation to Java.
