A very good course with some disruption from others

The course and its contents were very enjoyable, and the tutor was very nice. However, there was some disruption from the other pupils in the first few days (but these will likely vary overall due to the different classmates).

I enjoyed it a lot!!!!!

This was really fun. I liked learning how to do this and recommend it :)

The course was good.

I recommend this course if you like to design and fairly simple code. I recommend the virtual machine if your laptop can't handle unreal engine.

I found I very fun and I got to make my own game I would rate it five stars if it wasn't on a video call

I was hesitant at first but then I settled in and I want to do it every day but 4 stars because it was a little to fast for me.

I found my work quite pleasing after this experience of funtech even though I have just started coding using unreal. But during the course I found I went through many problems in my code 3/5 of them were me trying to find something. In the end I made a game that worked properly and functioned as I wanted, after making my game I realised that I could have achieved quite a good game if I learned more. So overall my experience of funtech is about in the middle 3/5 and 4/5.

I really loved this camp. During the first 2 days, we had some serious problems with the virtual machine, but Mr.Alexander (we chose to call him that) never got frustrated once. We found out our WIFI was the problem, and we could never really get it fixed. But, instead of getting angry or frustrated, Alex really helped us, offering to do it on his computer with us telling him what to do instead of giving up. He always stopped to let us take notes when we were watching videos and was overall really helpful.

Luca enjoyed some parts of this course but struggled with the virtual side. With his dyslexia he struggles remembering the instructions so we ended up taking a photo because the instructions moved on. He also found the constant chattering of some students very off putting, making it hard to concentrate and hear. The instructor was very helpful and Luca gained confidence to use the messaging chat to ask for help over the first few days. Its a hard course but very interesting and Luca said he would have preferred a classroom - at least he tried!

Very Good

I thought that the camp was very good and really helped me. I think the tutor (Nadia) was excelent and while learning the key skills it was also fairly fun.

Fun but a bit dissapointed

It was really fun but we couldn't do all the stuff that I wanted to do in the course. I wanted to do enemies, bosses and AI but sadly we couldn't do that in the course. All in all I really enjoyed the course, and I recommend it, but you can't make everything that is in a really good game.

Great fun but slightly disappointed

It was amazing fun and I would really recommend it to other people but I am a bit let down by the fact that we couldn't add AI to our games. Overall it was a lot of fun and it was a great experience.

It was really fun haying a go at making a game and seeing what was behind the every day game but I think it would have been better if we were able to firstly chose what we want to learn. that would make the star no. 5.

I did not enjoy it at the start but when I started making my car and vehicle game I preferred it. But at breaks I wanted to lie down and relax in peace because I was tired and it was noisy.

Funtech review

I really enjoyed the course however i found the days slightly long as it began to get quite confusing and i began to get tired after a lot of work.

The course is really enjoyable and my tutor, Nadia, explained everything in a way which made even the more advanced thing seem simple. However, a lot of the course relies heavily on Fun Tech resources: a lever, a moving platform, a button, a trigger zone etc. One can not access these resources from home and therefor one can not create games as advanced as these at home. Overall it has been a great learning experience for me.

FunTech Was Amazing!

FunTech Was Amazing! The food was extremely good, just like the tutor! The tutor explained the program really well, making it look easy and when i needed help, she would always help me.

Enriching and Enjoyable

FunTech thoroughly covered the basics of unreal and i feel that i could pick it up again later on with relative ease. Good tutors and lessons.

Very informative

In this course we learned how to use unreal engine and make games with it. The instructor was very helpful when I didn't know what to do and taught us useful tricks to make our own games. Overall it was a good experience and I would suggest it

FunTech 3D Game Design

FunTech was good. It was quite complicated at the beginning for me but if you watch the videos properly and then get help with it being explained it is better.

This camp was very fun and enjoyable. We could code amazing features that were really well explained and were helped well by Dan. The food and residential side were also very good and I enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons in my spare time with some very good friends I made here

FunTech is self-explanatory. FunTech is fun and make things easy to learn. Before i came to FunTech, I used Unreal but i had to watch youtube videos about the topic i wanted to work on. Now I can do pretty much anything with the knowledge I gained from this course.

Learned a lot

In this course I learned a lot of things, from blueprints to building. The only downside is that some people are slower with learning so we have to wait for them, but that's not their fault. Overall, this was a good course, and I learned a lot of things.

Fun

FunTech have inspired and motivated me to do more game design in all computer formats and it was a very safe environment

FunTech is a really cool place where I learnt allot with the beast teacher, Ben! I have learnt allot during this course and would love to come again to try something new next time! The guy who created this course made this course so hard that at the end of the day my head was hurting so much. One of the kids in the other group was really mean which had made me change 5 stars to 4 stars.

Can the fortitude of Funtech's extensive camps be properly contained within the English language? I will attempt to do my best, as is my duty as a writer. Any extensive investigation of any such course must be three-pronged: an investigation of the subject material, an investigation of the teaching staff, and an investigation of the subject in and of itself.

The Subject Material - and its Quality
Our Instructor taught via multiple pre-prepared videos, detailing the mechanics of Unreal Engine 4, our artist's canvas on which we drew the future of game design. They were exceptionally well crafted and easy to understand.

The Teaching Staff - and their Competence
The writer's course was overseen by Instructor General Zihao. Throughout the week, he showed exemplary calm and force in his unique tutoring style.

Game Design - and can it be Taught?
There has been a raging debate over whether Game Design is either something which must be sought by an individual, or something which must be taught. Funtech camps have, for the writer, demonstrated Game Design can be both: a structured course where students are left to craft what interests them.
