Our daughter attended the 3D Game Design camp in London and had a wonderful learning experience. It was great for her to improve her computer skills and to learn to be able to create her own 3D game. All of the FunTech teachers were engaged and responsible, and provided almost daily feedback as to her progress. Phoebe was very sorry when the camp came to an end!

3D Game Design FunTech Camp Review

This camp has been very fun and I look forward to the Roblox Camp I shall attend with my sister soon. The relaxed, supportive atmosphere along with the fun and interesting learning creates the perfect Camp - especially for gaming fans.

It was very fun even though we were only working on our projects for Friday, we got to play minecraft during breaktime.

Over my 3D game design course I really enjoyed learning new skills on the excellent software Unreal Engine and I loved my final product of my game. The staff here were so incredibly friendly, helpful and polite. Everyone was so kind funny and supportive they shared there game ideas and codes to others. During lunch we were joking about and during breaks outside I played basketball football and a little bit of tennis. The environment of the classroom was very good the temperature was very adjustable and normally very good. Due to it being relatively warm out, the fans were on almost every day. Everyone in the other courses were very nice and friendly and we normally played together at break. The breaks were a very good length giving you a good break every hour and lunch was a good length to eat your food.

The place was managed very well the staff looking after us extremely well always checking if we were alright in the camp. The area we were in was very well looked after by the staff at Funtech and of the school we were at, the toilets were clean and tidy and the classroom was always spick and span and it gave a great feel to have a really tidy room. The videos made by Funtech were always clear and brief which meant that we are able to do the tasks more efficiently and quickly. The things that Funtech added onto the computers were amazingly designed such as furniture and textures to add onto our maps to make them hundreds of times better. The computers were of such good quality and the picture was very clear.

VERY GOOD. Had a very good time and Learnt a lot

I liked the camp and would like to come again. One thing I would change is if We could switch to unreal engine 5 as 4 is a bit outdated and Unreal engine 5 is much more easier to use

Thanks to all the staff members / teachers for teaching me how to use unreal engine. I've had a really fun, amazing time here. The staff members are very good and friendly and make sure everyone is happy and understanding the work. The staff even made sure to help me understand the work even though i have a learning disability. I would even consider working here as a summer time job some point in the future. Probably will go to this camp again and will 100% recommend to other people i know. Thanks for all the great fun and thanks to the staff remembers to make sure everyone was safe and having a good time.

pretty much learn how to make 3D game through week - it was fun time doing this - got to use Unreal Engine to make game - instruction clear - staff really nice : help out alot

Phenomenal

I've never been in a camp that is so fun that time feels non-existent. It was definitely worth the 10 days. I have been in a camp previously and I can say that now 2 out of 2 camps, funtech is a brilliant way to get taught how to code or use technology.

super useful course

i know unreal engine now. the fact you get to keep the assets is also super neat
nothing else to say except that, if you have no experience in unreal engine this course is for you

My Virtual camp experience

I have absolutely loved my time here when I did my virtual camp. We learned how to make games with a game engine called Unreal Engine. The tutors who teach you give lots of information and can explain it in different ways to help you understand. My overall rating is 10/10.

Completely Worth it.

I enjoyed this camp alot. It got me from low understanding of any of the things we were using to full understanding in 5 days. I recommend funtech.

Funtech is amazing!

I absolutely love Funtech. Every single one of my courses has been exceptional, I have learnt loads and had a lot of fun. I had a problem with the assets and my computer, but Funtech sorted this out, and even called my mum at the end of the day. I couldn't ask for more.

It is very "Fun" Tech. Learned a lot of things about unreal engine and the tutor was also helpful.

My son took part in the 3D Game design virtual week course. He thoroughly enjoyed it, and was engaged throughout and has developed new skills and confidence while completing the course. The course has ignited his imagination and boosted his enthusiasm for game design. The tutor was very supportive, knowledgeable and competent and inspirational. On the final day doing their individual projects it would have been nice for the students to have enough time to show each other their game design to see how others had used the course to develop their own game ideas. Overall, the course was a huge success and I would definitely recommend it to those interested in game design.

My son really enjoyed the 2 week (half day) virtual course on 3D gamning with Unreal engine. Funtech asked for a bit of pre-course prep from me as a parent (checking Broadband speed and computer spec - it was all reasonable to ask and fairly straightforward) and took 2x20mins.

We used childcare vouchers to pay (you need to pay upfront by card but then we got the money back quickly from Funtech once the childcare scheme had sent their payment). Without this option I do not think we would have booked the course.

Overall I was impressed with how my son remained engaged over the whole two weeks and he seems to have retained a real interest in the subject and learned other transferable skills. The person running the course seems to have struck a good balance between moments where they are all chatting and others when they are progressing the specific course elements.

Overall very good and certainly a good review from my son.

i learnt quite a bit of unrealengine logic that the game creator uses such as deleteing only one sise of a negative geometry will crate a one way wall or other things such as funtech providing blueprints for use . the course is overall really fun to participate in so i may go again.

Very good camp

My son Felix enjoyed the camp. It was a little too much information in one day for an 11 years old boy but I think he learned a lot and next year we have to book the 2 week camp so he can better focus every day. It was very professionally organized.

This week was a very enjoyable and productive week for me as I learnt a new area of programming I had never explored before and I really enjoyed it. I will hopefully come out with a decent game and I hope to continue making games as hobby.
My tutor, Fabian, was very helpful when it came to sorting out problems and bugs in my game and was also very good at going through the content to make it more understandble for us.
I would definately reccomend this course and FunTech to others, as it is well run and well executed.

I cannot speak highly enough about FunTech. What an absolutely awesome company that helps children and teens with coding and tech. They have a range of courses (although you have to book early) that I wish I had when I was younger. But my ten year old daughter joined for a two week's session ...

I cannot speak highly enough about FunTech. What an absolutely awesome company that helps children and teens with coding and tech.

They have a range of courses (although you have to book early) that I wish I had when I was younger. But my ten year old daughter joined for a two week's session on 3D Game Designing using Unreal Engine over the summer and she loved it.

She has been learning python coding since she was six so it was nice for her to do something different. And even though she had a wobble in the middle of the course, the company was absolutely fantastic and supported her with some one to one private lessons to get her to the end.

My daughter wrote: "To Connor. Thank you for giving me 1 to 1s to help me understand Unreal Engine. I really appreciate it. I am really happy with the end result of my game and I am hoping to add many more levels and upgrade my current ones to make my game way more interesting."

@Sheineez Barber I applaud you for setting up such an awesome company and excellent customer service.

As a result, I have shared with many friends and I will book Georgie onto her next course soon and every year from here on. 10 out of 10...

I couldn't recommend this company highly enough.
