I was really stressed about the coding part of my gcse computer science exam because I just couldn’t get the hang of it at school. I told my mum that I didn’t think I would do well so she booked me on a 1 week python course at funtech.

My tutor was amazing, everything was broken down so clearly that it actually made sense. If anyone in the class had questions, she took the time to explain it until we all understood.

Thank you funtech, your teaching is seriously good and I will be back for more courses. Just wish school taught like you guys.

Very fun

I was not sure if i should've done this course, but i have learned a lot and enjoyed it very much, our tutor,Scott,was very fun and kind, he helped us a lot and we learned a lot. I 100% recommend this camp.

I loved it!

I loved the course and i learned a lot about python, i had a great tutor who explained everything very well when i didn't understand something. Sometimes we got a bit off topic but otherwise it was great!

I really enjoyed this course

I really enjoyed this. I liked how we went through everything in detail and it helped me to learn and memorise the different types of codes and functions. Sometimes it went quite slow but the challenges and the end of each topic made it alot more fun and really made me feel like i was learning alot

Great course for beginners

The course had a good pace, and wasn't too fast. Sometimes the basics could have been explained a bit faster and there could have been more time taken on the difficult parts, but in the end, everything was covered, and it was fun to complete projects at the end.

Summary of the Fun-tech Camp!

It was a really fun experience with an amiable atmosphere that complimented the python work. My favourite topics were if statements and user inputs. Overall the great teaching, the easy to understand material and the great environment contributes to a healthy passion for python.

My son ,12 years old has attended this camp. He loved it. It was impressive to see him sitting 3:30 hours everyday for two weeks on his own and learning. The trainer was friendly and was very attentive. at the end I can say that we have benefited a lot in improving his confidence to code in python and working through his projects. Now he seems quite eager to take the next step.
I would also like to call out pro-activeness of FunTech team, on our first class we got late to login and Trainer called on my mobile phone to ensure that everything is okay or if we need any help. He also gave individual help through remote learning platform and answered all the questions that my son came up with. As a dad I am happy with my investment.
Moving forward I would also like to see, if FunTech handover some follow up projects to kids and establish some sort of community forum where these children can stay in touch and keep working through those projects in order for them to go for next level camp.

Python course camp

Nikhil liked the python camp. It was easy to follow and broken down to small junks to follow through. Tutor 30 Adam D did a fabulous job and keeping my son focused on the teaching and programming. Thank you Funtech .

From a newbie coder's point of view

"Actually quite fun" - for someone who has no knowledge of coding to one who is adamant he has to get his code correct and play the game he just created. Good fun and 2 weeks pace is just nice to dip into Python for a 12 year old.

IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We learned about all the cool things in python, and we were taught clearly and we understood all of the things we were taught. Our tutor (Matt) was very helpful and a very good teacher too!

It was great! I learned a lot. But it would be good to consider Zoom for future camps.

I enjoyed the course because it was so easy and simple to follow while your able to learn a lot at the same time. The smaller simpler projects were the best because you could learn a bit and use all of your programming knowledge you have learnt so far to create them.

One thing that could be improve is that you listen to the teacher talk and watch them explain and then you have time to write the code after that, instead of doing both at the same time, rushing and you then won't learn as much.

I would recommend this course to others who want to learn the basics of python.

It was very fun and I enjoyed it. Learning was very fun and interesting and I enjoyed it. Teachers are very patient and explain everything in detail. I am very glad as I learned very quickly.

When I started I was the only girl but Matthew made me feel welcome. He makes sure everyone is understanding whats going on. I felt some things were a bit more difficult but now I know what I have to do. My favourite is the variables, not because they are easy but because I find them fascinating....

At first it was quite hard. But there wasn't to much challenge. At the start it was the hardest but now I feel confident. If next time I do some coding I won't have as much trouble as when I started. This course was very good, easy to understand and helpful. If there was something you didn't understand, it was explained to you to make sure you did. I knew that I was learning something with this course, but new subjects were never too hard to understand.

Our Tutor Viktor was really nice and listened to us. The course was very interactive and informative and I loved the way that we got to use the skills that we learnt to create our own project! Overall I loved this course and and I would definitely go again.

AMAZING VIRTUAL COURSE!

WOW! The course was amazing! I didn't think that it would work virtually, but, WOW! It was an amazing week, and I have learnt probably even more than I would've done normally. :)
