How I Found My Week

I enjoyed the week very much. I found that the teacher I had was very nice and helpful with anything the class did not understand. The week was very fun and I am exited to start some other classes later down the line at Fun Tech.

3D Game Design - review

My camp was very enjoyable and fun and i liked how good my teacher was at explaing and teaching us how to code games in Unreal Engine

Funtech has been great, meeting new people. Tutor has been great with helping when i have trouble navigating round the 3D gaming software. Thanks.

This camp very much exceeded my expectations in every way. The first day 'felt like school' but was a necessary part of the camp because it was the 'how to' part. My son learned some new skills, met some nice children and I felt was safe and cared for whilst I was able to go to work nearby. The two tutors, Max and Paul, were just about the best people you could ask for. Super bright uni students. Kind, approachable and so,so encouraging of my son. My son noted that if they didn't know something, they contacted 'HQ' who would get back immediately, so you get the impression that this whole camp is backed up behind the scenes by highly competent people. This is the first time I've booked with Funtech. It absolutely won't be the last. Thank you all (especially Paul and Max) for giving my child a great experience, in a great location.

Our son recently took part in a virtual camp over 5 mornings during week 1 of the summer holidays. Everything went smoothly and communication was great. We love that the parent and student portal is easy to navigate and it was super easy to swap his dates when another engagement ended up clashing. Our son really enjoyed the course and said his tutor was nice and friendly. He woke up early everyday and got himself all set up so he was definitely keen and enjoying himself. I could hear him asking relevant questions and chatting to his peers. We would definitely recommend FunTech and it's a massive bonus that childcare vouchers are accepted!
We will be booking again.

My 12 year old son attended this week's camp and said it was his favourite course yet. We've been coming for several years and the projects are always interesting and well taught, and this still applied with the new 'virtual' format. He also commented that the balance of coding/breaks is better, making it easier to pay attention. Will certainly be back next summer.

This Camp was very fun as there was always something to do. The challenges were hard but manageable for someone who is new to coding and logic.

This course was by far the best I have done, and I have been coming for the last 4 years. I really enjoyed making my game and learning how to use the software. Jake(my online tutor) was also amazing and super helpful. It's been great!

And you can take you time and learn at your own pace. Also it is great at convenience; you can use a usb drive to get all of your levels made during the course and fun tech starter pack for unreal engine and also if a USB drive isn’t available to you can use the student portal to access it that way.
All in all worth it.

this was a good and including and i learnt lots of things but the thing we used can not be recreated on a normal laptop but instead you need either a computer or high-performance laptop. all of the tutors are kind. :)

I enjoyed the Wimbledon 3D game design camp :)

I enjoyed learning how to make a simple game. My favourite part was making the visuals and 3D models but struggled a bit with understanding some of the coding. However, I was helped whenever I didn't know how to do something. Overall, I had a lot of fun. :D

I recently attended the Funtech Coding Camp focused on Unreal Engine, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing.

The instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about gaming and coding. They created an engaging environment that fostered creativity and collaboration among participants. They broke down complex concepts into easily digestible lessons, making it accessible for everyone, regardless of their prior experience.

What stood out the most was how hands-on the camp was. We jumped straight into working on our projects, allowing us to apply what we learned in real time. The support and feedback we received were amazing and really helped me improve my skills. Plus, the opportunity to work with Unreal Engine, a leading game development platform, was a game-changer!

As usual I am extremely impressed with the course. There are 4 main reasons why I enjoyed the camp:
1. I recieved a lot of help.
2. It was extremely fun.
3. I learned a lot.
4. Our tutor was a chill guy.

Amazing Coding Camp!

I really loved this camp. It was super interesting learning about unreal engine. It was super fun making my game and figuring out how to fix a problem!

I went into this course wanting to create a first person horror game set in an underwater facility for my friend. I thought it was too ambitious at first, but after the first few days of the course, I was making major progress on it! We did encounter a few errors with the makeshift 'activator sound zones' that I made, but it was nothing that the Funtech team couldn't fix! My tutor was very friendly and I really enjoyed my time here. 5 stars!

It was Very good and I feel that I learned a lot. Though there were a few technical issues here and there, they didn't negatively affect the course. I would do it again! :D

Review on "3D Game Design - Developer" course.

This was an interesting course which took us through the basics of 3D Design. I learnt a lot of new things, namely how to develop and design a game including a racing game and a platformer. The teacher was nice and supportive and overall this was an enjoyable experience.

This course has been a really useful way to learn more about Unreal Engine as it is a helpful environment to learn in with a tutor always ready to answer any questions you may have.
