Brilliant two weeks

Our daughter loved the Python 1 two-week virtual coding class. She is already begging for another course. I would definitely recommend to other parents with children interested in coding.

My daughter completed the Python coding course. She had done a similar course with a different provider and I was able to make a direct comparison between the two. This course was much more organised, with the instructors monitoring the pupils' screens to make sure they stayed on track. It was very well structured and there was no 'time filling.' It also held her interest (after the introductory parts which I think she found a bit dull) for very long days.
All in all I think this deserves a 5* review. A very impressively run virtual club.

My daughter enjoyed the holiday camp immensely. Although she had not coded in Python before, she was carefully guided through the concepts and was able to apply what she had learnt and seemed very satisfied with her achievements. She was able to get on with the virtual course independently over the 2 weeks and looked forward to her classes each morning. Her teacher was fun and friendly and she thought he was fantastic. I can always rest assured my children will not be disappointed with a FunTech course.

Thank you Funtech for such an amazing course. My son loved it thoroughly. It was fun and the tutor was very helpful and kind. I am particularly impressed with the set up prior to the start of the course. Funtech staff were very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Teachers were amazing and a learnt more in the first day here than i did in a year of school. 10/10 definitely go.

I really enjoyed the course. The teachers were friendly, and patient when they were teaching new things. I learnt a lot and had fun while learning it.

Fun tech python course

I enjoyed learning about printing, loops, maths, nesting and even creating a game of rock paper scissors! I would recommend doing this course and would rate it 5 stars.

My experience at FunTech was stunning. My instructor, Ilyas, was so great. He was energetic, fun and made even the most grinding moments enjoyable. I have learnt a massive amount of python coding from him. Without Ilyas, this camp wouldn't be as captivating. Furthermore, the environment at FunTech is both relaxed and mature. Equally amazing at teaching, Ilyas is so great at bringing lessons to life. A fully immersive and uplifting experience. Ilyas made the most of my 5 days at FunTech. The quality of the learning and coding here is outstanding.
In this camp, we learnt about multiple data types, lists, functions, importing libraries, creating text based games and so much more. I made a guessing game, rock paper scissors and other exciting projects.

This week has been a life changing experience for me and Ilyas. It has been a rollercoaster of emotions in and out the classroom from laughing , to Ilyas' life lectures and mouse maze tournaments . I have learned a substantial amount of python throughout this week, including making my Rock, Paper, Scissors game which I coded, a top trump football game and a tic tac toe game. Ilyas has been very impressed by my work and level of maturity in and out the classrooms. Ilyas has been a great teacher who has taught us very well in ensuring that we understand every aspect of the course by quizzing us regularly and testing our knowledge. He has been fun, interesting and true quality man. Ilyas has been the best teacher I have ever had and you will be extremely lucky if you get this great man to teach you this course.

This Python Coder course is absolutely amazing. My tutor is very passionate about coding, and he taught Python very well. Before the course, I knew things like print(), if, for index in range:, input(), some of the Turtle library, and a little bit of the Random library so I found the course easy the first day or two. Now, I know things like multi-dimensional lists, variable types, while loops, string manipulation, counters, and loads more. Every day of my course, I never wanted it to end and when I woke up, I wanted to get on it early. Python is now part of my life.
I LOVE FUNTECH, I LOVE PYTHON, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The course requires a bit of pre-installation to get going but the instructions were pretty clear and we were able to get going on time. Unfortunately the first half day was spent it seems with trying to get everyone else up to the same level. Once the course got going Jacob found it very simple and I often found him playing on his phone whilst waiting for others to catch up. The course did get more challenging for him but he always seemed to be sat around, waiting for others to catch up. This was the main disappointment for me, he is obviously more capable of going faster and have more challenging work set, but the course has to get everyone along at the same pace. Such a shame - he has the same issue at school, so not just a Funtech thing. But I feel that adding in extension exercises or bringing in concepts like test driven development, documentation generation, things like that would keep the more able engaged and off their phones.

I myself am in IT and thought the curriculum was a little light, and the stuff that they were coding, whilst teaching the basics, didn't seem to be engaging or exciting. Python has some great gaming libraries and graphics capabilities so it would have been good to see something at the end of the week where the students plot a graph or draw a pie chart or navigate a skier down a slope or similar.

But, at the end of the day, when asked, Jacob said he enjoyed the course and learned something new. And that's what it is all about. So no complaints - take the above as suggestions.

The course was great but what impressed me even more was FunTech's real desire to make sure that every child was on a course for their level, that they were enjoying it and were learning. It was genuine care not a case of taking your money and that was it. My son found his original course too challenging so the Fun Tech team got on the phone and rang me with suggestions for alternatives. They clearly wanted to make it a great experience for him. I wouldn't hesitate to book again with FunTech.

My son says ‘amazing’

In his words “Teacher was nice. It was fun. Helpful teacher. Learnt a lot. Other kids were nice. Can now do lots of loops” (whatever that is!!).
From my point of view, he was happy and engaged and enjoyed each session.

i liked Pycharm coding because it was fun to make games and learn hot to code on a computer.the game was particularly fun.

I enjoyed this course a lot, highlights for me being doing the rock paper scissors and also the final connect four. At some points it was quite annoying doing the programming and it not working but I think that was just programming being programming, and it was good when I asked for help and it was sorted out. A couple times in the final project I thought I wasn't going to be able to do it because I thought it needed more complex code which we hadn't done yet, but when I asked for help the tutor helped me and it also made me realise that it was possible to do the code with the stuff we'd learnt. Really enjoyed the course and I'm pretty sure that after all this lockdown stuff ends I'll carry on with funtech doing the programming because my dad suggested it and it was very fun. Thanks a lot especially the tutor for helping me out many times and also for teaching everything :)

This course was so much fun and I learnt everything about the basics of python. I was able to do lots of practical coding as well as learning all of the different concepts. I feel much more confident in python and I can apply these skills while in school.
