This is one of the most amazing holiday camps. I had so much fun as well as learning. Our teacher, Jay, was brilliant at teaching us java and I found it very interesting and simple. When we weren't learning coding, we were also doing many exciting activities such as swimming, cricket but most of all, the bouncy total wipeout jump, gladiator arena, bungy run and the lazer tag. The meals were also brilliant and gave us a wide choice of what we would like. if anything was slightly bad, it would be the fact that the beds are uncomfortable at first, but that didn't really matter, as you get used to it and also everything else was really fun. I now understand all the basic principles of java and can make many word games with it and have a very good understanding of it. I cannot stress how amazing this camp is (by the way, if you like minecraft that's good as in the breaks you can play minecraft). This is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!

Coding Level 1 (Java)

We learnt all the basics of Java coding, touching on slightly more advanced material, explained by our tutor. He was really helpful in explaining things we did not understand and we all had a lot of fun during and in between lessons.

Lots of Fun

We learnt lots, and it was quite fun as, the tutors help, but don't straight up give us the answers. The tutors also take us to the park and we play games there, the break is really fun, as you get to know other people that aren't doing your course.

Amazing and Challenging!

I came to this camp with high expectations from my friend Jamie, who said it was the only camp he had ever really enjoyed. I am happy to say that these expectations have been met, if not exceeded. I came to this camp with high expectations from my friend Jamie, who said it was the only camp he had ever really enjoyed. I am happy to say that these expectations have been met, if not exceeded. I have learnt a lot from this course in Java when before I didn't know a word of code. The teaching methods are simple yet effective and there is a nice relaxed environment. We learnt many things from Simple Console outputting to else if statements, for loops and combining everything we had learnt so far. My thanks to Ben Gunton and Maud Lemercier.
This is the most extensive, yet outrageously expensive summer camp I have ever been on!

HARD, FUN, OVERALL GOOD WEEK

I learned a whole lot more when I came out of the room. Not bad. Very challenging to start but got easier when the week progressed. Some bits were hard but I understood in the end.

This was kinda cool and an enjoyable !!!

NOTHING was bad about this camp was bad! I SO recommend this camp, and even if this camp cost £20000 pounds, it would still be worth the price.

The teachers were extremely helpful, always coming and helping when called. I learnt a type of coding I had never known before, and it was an amazing feeling when I realised I was writing script used to make programmes. I had never coded, apart from schoolboy knowledge of scratch and touch develop, but that did not hinder me at all. Whenever I finished the exercises there were always extension exercises to keep me busy and my brain ticking. It was an amazing experience and one that I would recommend to others.

Greatest camp ever Ben and Maud are really amazing teachers who helped me understand a lot from a boy who hated technology to somebody who now ENJOYS it. I would like to come again.

FunTech is great!

I learnt the basics of Java Coding and it was great, I just feel sometimes it was slightly slow moving.

Great Tutor and Tutorial

Adrian M(The Tutor) taught humorous lessons which were fun. After lunch the children are escorted to the park where they can play football and use other play equipment so fresh air is available.

Best Course Ever!!!!!

I really loved this course!! I first came last year to do minecraft redstone and loved it! So now i'm planning to come here every summer just for this course and I really reccomend everyone to come here

This was a great course which was really education and fun on the same time. We were assisted by Adrian Mihalache who helped us through the work.He was also a fun teacher who made us laugh most of the time.

Joe is a patient considerate and thorough tutor and my son really enjoyed his first experience with Funtech on his first week ever. I really feel that learning Java has given Luca a deeper understanding which he can now carry forward, in order to learn and enjoy other courses. Joe always managed to keep his cool and explain anything which i as a parent didnt understand if i had any questions. He is polite and helpful and made sure he went through as much of what Luca learned with myself present at the end of the week, as he had time for; also on a daily basis if there was anything myself or Luca needed to know. He made us aware of the fact that Java can be challenging and found ways round teaching it effectively to Luca for his age and understanding level.

He has learnt so much and can't wait to carry on at home improving the skills hes learnt.
He has especially liked the Tutors Kwaku and Yuvesh who have been very clear with instruction and been very supportive throughout the week. He is keen to do another course next summer which we will have no hesitation signing him up for. We were a bit worried as he is only 10 if it would be at a suitable level but Jacob has managed to keep up with the rest of the class and thrive on the knowledge he has learnt. Big thank you for a great week.
