By seeing immediate outcomes from their code, they’ll gain both clarity and confidence, ready to take on more advanced challenges in the next year on Applied Coder Level 2.

Welcome to the Robot Training Academy, a fast-paced coding mission where your child takes charge of training a virtual rescue robot, ensuring it is ready to be deployed into the field to handle high-stakes scenarios. For every mission, they will have to think logically, plan ahead and deploy real code with purpose.
Your child will code autonomous programs using key coding constructs such as loops, conditionals, variables and sensor-based logic and building skills in sequencing, control flow, and responsive decision making.
They’ll code their robot to navigate escape routes, detect hazards, clear debris, report findings and respond to unpredictable environments, all without manual intervention.
By the end of this course, your child will have built a fully autonomous robot capable of completing real-world style missions, and will understand how to design, test and refine logic-based systems that operate independently.
We know that learning doesn’t always fit neatly into 50-minutes. Some topics take longer to grasp, and sometimes students simply need space to ask questions or work through ideas at their own pace.
That’s why every FunTech lesson includes an optional 30-minute extension, built in from the start. It’s not just for the student’s benefit; it also gives our expert tutors the time they need to give proper attention and support, without the pressure of rushing off to their next class.
It means your child can leave each lesson feeling confident, with everything covered in a single session, which is especially helpful for busy families juggling packed schedules.
In most cases, this built-in time is all that’s needed. On rare occasions, we may recommend a separate prep session, but that’s very much the exception rather than the rule.

The Lost Pixels | Collect. Unlock. Escape.
Welcome to the Temple of the Lost Pixel, a story-led coding adventure where your child will take on the role of a digital explorer, collecting artefacts, avoiding traps, and escaping a collapsing system.
Your child will code a complete adventure game, building systems from the ground up, including sprite movement, player health, score tracking, enemy patrols, projectile firing, collision handling, and interactive level design.
Each challenge introduces a new mechanic to master, from triggering traps and scripting enemies to collecting relics and revealing hidden routes, all controlled through real code and responsive logic.
By the end of this course, your child will have built a fully functional adventure game with scripted enemies, projectiles and scoring, and will understand how to combine variables, events and conditions to create interactive systems from scratch.

DJ Lab | Loop. Remix. Drop.
Welcome to the DJ Lab, where your child becomes the coder behind the beats, layering sounds, shaping effects and composing real music with real code.
Your child will learn to use coding to create structured, evolving soundscapes. They’ll build skills in loop control, sequencing, reuse patterns, automation and musical logic, transforming code into rhythm.
Each track builds on the last, from chill ambient loops to retro chiptunes to high-energy techno and beat drops, all composed and controlled through their code.
By the end of this course, your child will have created a custom-coded music library, complete with loops, effects and transitions, and will understand how to control timing, repetition and change through real code.

FAQs
A virtual class is a scheduled interactive online lesson delivered by FunTech.
All our virtual software is Citrix driven and so extremely safe
All students receive a virtual orientation lesson before the start of their course.
For each lesson, your child will receive an email invitation containing a link allowing them to log onto our virtual classroom. We schedule a maximum of four students who are predominately based in the UK, however, a few of our students have moved abroad due to parents work commitments and therefore log in from further afield.
The lessons themselves are the exact same as is delivered in a physical classroom. Through our virtual classroom environment, your child has the option to raise their hand, ask questions and also speak to the other students in their class (though we do have a mute all option '- just in case!)
FunTech teachers are able to pass control of their monitor to an individual student or share it amongst all the students. With permission, we can take control of a students' monitor to demonstrate concepts, share common mistakes or outstanding work as we would in a physical classroom.
