From Python Coder to AI Developer

On our AI & Machine Learning course, your child will build on their Python skills to create real artificial intelligence models, coding neural networks, building machine learning systems, and creating intelligent programs that can see, interpret and respond to real-world data. From writing Python code that build systems that learn, recognise patterns and make decisions, this course is a hands-on step into real-world AI development.

Course Journey

This course begins with Google Colab with a short diagnostic to confirm your child has the Python skills required for the course. From there, they'll move onto learning AI concepts, including classifiers, facial recognition, sentiment analysis and landmark detection. They’ll learn how machine learning models are trained, tuned and evaluated, gaining hands-on experience with neural networks and convolutional systems.

As the course progresses, they’ll explore natural language processing and build their own chatbot using real text datasets. They’ll also work with TensorFlow, a professional-grade AI framework used by developers worldwide. Key topics include image and text classification, data preparation, optimisation, regression, and model deployment, all delivered through hands-on coding and real-world applied challenges.

Final Outcome

By the end of the course, your child will have developed and deployed their own AI systems, explored key concepts like regression, normalisation and convolutional networks, and gained experience with the tools behind today’s most advanced technologies, equipping them with future-ready skills in one of tech’s fastest-growing fields.

Software Installation Required

All course software must be installed before camp begins.

  • Instructions will be available in your  FunTech Parent Portal 3 weeks before the camp.
  • Free tech support is available until 72 hours before camp. After that, support is charged at £55/hour.
  • If Installation is needed during the camp, it’s charged at £75/hour and a catch-up session may be required.
