How to Get Roblox Studio on iPad

FunTech offers Roblox coding camps and virtual courses for kids aged 7 to 16. A parent recently asked about Roblox Studio’s compatibility with iPad and whether it’s possible to download the application to iPad.

We don’t recommend trying to use Roblox Studio on iPad, and instead recommend a PC with Windows 7 or later installed. Roblox Studio is not officially available to download to iPad, and it will be very tricky trying to use the application on this device.

However, there are some workarounds that can lets users access the Roblox Studio on an iPad which include using a remote desktop app. This would let the user remotely access their desktop computer from an iPad, essentially using their iPad as a remote control. Some popular remote desktop apps include TeamViewer, Splashtop, and Chrome Remote Desktop.

When using this method, you would still need a desktop PC or laptop to run Roblox Studio on an iPad.

Another option is to use a third-party app that lets you run Windows programs on an iPad. While this can be a bit more complicated, it can be a good option for users who want to use Roblox Studio on the go and don’t have access to a desktop computer.

It is important to note that downloading and using Roblox Studio on an iPad may not provide the same experience as using it on a desktop computer. Some features may be limited or unavailable, and the user interface may be different.

In conclusion, neither option isn’t easy, and it’s not recommended that you try to download Roblox Studio to the iPad if you want your child to be able to develop their own games and learn how to code using the application.

Roblox coding courses

Of course, your child’s learning can be accelerated with a FunTech Roblox coding course. Here are the three we are currently running during school holiday periods or term times when taken as a virtual course.

Why Roblox Studio is a good option for kids who want to code

Roblox Studio is a powerful application that lets kids create their own games within the Roblox platform. It doesn’t just let them code, but can also help enhance other skills

The application is free to download and can be installed on Windows PCs and Macs. With a user-friendly and intuitive design, children even with no prior experience in game development, can pick the basics up quickly. It has an easy to navigate interface that uses a drag-and-drop system letting kids add and remove objects, characters, and other elements to their games. Kids can also use scripting to create more complex interactions and behaviours for their games.

In addition to its game development features, Roblox Studio also provides a range of tools and resources for kids to manage and publish their games. They can test their games in a virtual environment, share their games with friends and other users, and even monetise their games by selling in-game items and currency.

Why iPad doesn’t support Roblox Studio

iPad is a mobile device so has limitations in terms of processing power and storage. Roblox Studio is a complex and large program that requires significant resources to run smoothly. This means it will struggle on most iPads.

Another reason why you can’t download Roblox Studio to iPad is that the application has been designed specifically for desktop and laptop computers. The user interface and controls are optimised for use with a mouse and keyboard, and it may be difficult to replicate this experience on a touch screen device such as the iPad.

It’s also worth noting that Roblox Studio is constantly evolving, with new features and updates being released on a regular basis. This means that the developers need to focus their resources on maintaining and improving the desktop version of the program, rather than creating a separate version for mobile devices like the iPad.

Overall, while it may be disappointing for iPad users that Roblox Studio is not currently supported on this device, it’s important to remember that the program was designed with desktop and laptop computers in mind.

As technology continues to evolve, it’s possible that we may see a version of Roblox Studio that is optimised for mobile devices like the iPad, but for now, users will need to rely on other methods to create and edit their Roblox games on the go.
