We started with a recap of python and its basic code before moving on to some slightly more advanced code on Day 1. It felt relaxed to be eased back into to python after not doing it for a while. On Day 2 we did more advance coding using API and face/image recognition utilizing Google Colab's advanced servers. On Day 3 we started looking into and doing neural network theory. We also created datasets such as a "tic tac toe" csv which described all possible combinations of the game "tic tac toe". On Day 4 we coded a AI to recognise hand written digits and tell us what it thought they were, although it was not always right. On Day 5 we did a coding project, I choose to do a chat bot and code "Agents" for it to respond to inputs with. In conclusion, it was a very fun course with teachers that new what they were doing and how to explain it and make it fun and interactive at the same time. I would definitely recommend doing this course for those who want to advance further in python or as a follow up to the other python courses FunTech offers.

This course is middling (in my opinion) for a one main reason: the first few days of content were boring. There's no way around, days one and two, and parts of day 3, consisted of copying code of the board and being told things. However, the final two days were excellent, and I had plenty of freedom to have fun. Despite this, while I learnt a lot of concepts related to AI and neural networks, I didn't learn much specific coding. On the other hand, the tutors were very helpful and approachable (even when my question had little to do with AI as opposed to coding in general), had great taste in music (which they played during boring stretches to create atmosphere), and were happy to slightly adjust the schedule so that I could learn most of the important code despite a dentist appointment, and managed to make a accommodations for my Autism and ADHD that didn't affect other students. Break and Lunchtimes were frequent ut not excessive, and hugely reduced stress- not to mention the fun (but optional) activities (such as dodgeball and capture the flag) during lunchtimes. However, break/lunchtimes were, despite the tutor's best efforts, were still somewhat noisy/stressful. Overall: 8/10 for fun (due to somewhat stressful break/lunchtimes), 5/10 for tech (due to me learning little actual code).

AI Machine learning course (its 4.5 stars not 4 but no half stars option)

Great fun, would recommend to any python enjoyer. You do interesting and engaging activities such as making chatbots and image recognition software. The residential part was good, the only mildly annoying thing was the 9pm bedtime. Overall, I had a very enjoyable time.

The lessons were intriguing and I found it quite challenging over the first day, but from there, I found that I really started to understand a lot more, and I was able to code a lot more easily as well. I really liked the activities after the coding as well, even though the coding- for me was the highlight of the day.

This camp was great, we were using Google Colab to code our very own AI machines which could detect lots of things, like the tone of a sentence or whether people in a picture looked happy or sad. Google Colab is really easy to access, so you didn't need to download anything if you were taking the virtual course. At first we were just doing a Python recap, then we moved onto some really exciting things like neural networks and face/image detection. The teachers were very understanding and patient, they explain all the details of the code if you don't really understand, as it took me a few tries to get things right. Would definitely revisit - 5/5

I learnt a lot about AI during this camp, and how it works. It would have been useful to go into more depth with a few topics rather than covering all of them briefly.

FunTech AI Machine LEarning course

This was a very enjoyable course and I would recommend it to anyone who likes to code. I learnt a lot of new topics and the AI course had great depth.

FunTech AI Machine Learning Course

This course was very enjoyable and would greatly recommend it to others who also share a passion for coding. This course covers AI and Machine Learning in great depth and in just five days I was able to quickly improve in this field of coding.

The course overall demands a basic knowledge of python, ending with classes being the most complicated concept required at the start. This is not to say that many different python techniques are taught in the AI field. The instructor was very knowledgeable in the subject and very helpful too. Thanks to the videos, the theory was simple to understand. The taught material of AI is very much present and needed in the real world and knowledge of it is helpful, so I am glad I chose to do it.

AI Virtual Camp

Our son thoroughly enjoyed the AI virtual camp. The machine learning, neural networks and deep learning were explained very well.
We are therefore very pleased with this virtual camp.

Over the past 2 weeks, I have been able to code multiple chatbots and neural networks while gaining an in-depth understanding of the code and its functionality. The course itself was fun and engaging and I absolutely loved learning all about AI and Machine Learning through the helpful videos and the clear explanation from my FunTech tutor. Google Colab was an easy to access and use resource and one which was easy to use.

Although a few of the question were incorrect I am sure that will be fixed.

Overall I 100% would recommend it as a course to do

Funtech is FUN

I did the A.I. - Machine Learning course. It started off quite slow as it made sure that everyone understood the key concepts. However, it soon picked up the pace and I learnt many new things. I enjoyed the camp and I would recommend it if anyone is considering to do Funtech.

AI - Machine Learning

I really enjoyed learning about AI in the last 10 days learning about Neural Networks, chatbots and OOPS. I would like to thank my instructor as he was very informative, made sure we weren't bored and made the whole course very enjoyable.

It was a very good camp, my python skill was increased and strengthened by a lot, as for the ai course, it helped me visualise Neural Networks and in what ways to use them, it was a very nice and enjoyable experience

The course was very good and all the tutors are nice and helpful they help you in a way that still teaches you. This is one of the better things the learning as that is what it is all about.

I've made a conditional agent, an add responses agent, a sentiment checker agent, a landmark detection agent, a Wikipedia agent, an image checker agent, a face detection agent, a cat/dog checker agent, a Tic Tac Toe agent, a flip a coin agent, a hangman agent, an RNG agent, a rock paper scissors agent, a calculator agent, a digit recognition agent, a blackjack agent, a mastermind agent, a snake eyes agent, a memory game agent and a joke agent. Many of these use AI and some use machine learning. (I have learnt a lot!!!). It's been a wonderful course and I would strongly recommend!!

As always the quality of the course is amazing and the tutor(s) are always so helping and encouraging towards the pupils. This was my 4th course I have done with FunTech, each time the lesson gets even better. The camp is set up in such a way that it follows on to another thing, increasing the knowledge of the course and the difficulty of the task. The tutor(s) are the most, if not, the best part of the course, they are so kind and always help when needed. I was stuck a few times on this particular course, but the tutor came to the rescue and helped me get back on track. Overall it was a great course and I would do it a million times over.
