FunTech summer camp

FunTech had a good way of learning and the Tutors were very helpful to all of us completing the course. I haven't been on any other tech camps so I cannot compare it but their was definitely no shortage of content in this course. The Tutors were well prepared and knew their stuff!

FunTech taught me some useful skills

FunTech has taught me some very valuable skills in Java coding that I might be able to use in later life while also being fun.

I've looked far and wide for a place that teaches proper Java coding and FunTech I found was the place I was looking for.
I tried a course somewhere else but it didn't help me at all with learning to code and it wasn't that good either. But FunTech took my coding skills to the next level. I really enjoyed this week and made quite a few friends. . It's a lot to learn. Our Instructor was very helpful and very knowledgeable and when the red lines started popping up everywhere he got me back on my feet from chance of my program crashing.

Are instructor doesn't tell us the answer straight away which is good because it gives you the chance to try it a few more times. It definitely gets a lot more harder the further up you go throughout this week. What's amazing with this course is that you've also got Java level 2 and 3 and Drone coder which I look forward to doing in the future.

We use eclipse which is a computer coding environment, it's easy to use and very user friendly it tells you most times what you've done wrong in a way that I can understand with ease.

I would definitely recommend it to people who want to start coding. Java seemed overwhelming at first but with help I managed to nail down quite a few commands on my first day. All my other camps that I've done at FunTech have been amazing. I'm coming here again!

It has started a new chapter in my life and made me more open minded and how to handle difficult situations, under pressure and in a new surrounding. It has made me enjoy coding more and allowed me to do my own extensive research in the future in order for me to gain more knowledge in terms of coding.

An amazing experience

I've always wanted to learn how to program, and at FunTech I have learned a lot, the teachers were very helpful, the course is enjoyable and I have made lots of friends. I seriously recommend it. There is a reason why the company is called FUNTECH.

As you can tell from the title, there are some flaws the first of them being no phones which makes absolutely no sense because it is called Funtech and in Funtech you should probably be aloud to have fun on your own tech. Most other flaws are small and don't really matter though so i wont't touch...

Java Coder Level 1

Throughout whole week you are always active, even throughout the classes you are having fun and learning. Both tutors in the class will answer any question you throw at them.

Educational and fun.

Java has been very informative. I have learnt a lot although also had fun with the after coding residential activities e.g. self defence. Overall, a good way to fill time in the summer whilst learning.

I might have known most of the things already, but it was fun nonetheless.
I didn't need to listen to the examples so my teacher gave me a list of challenges e.g. making Hangman or a program that tells you if the numbers you put are in increasing or decreasing order.

Java

I learned a lot of Java in the camp. I learned how to make my own adventure game! My teacher Akash was very nice and helped me every time I had problems.
Every day we went to the park nearby which was really fun! The whole week was Epic even in a quite small class

I loved it

This was very helpful because my teacher Akash was very helpful and made me understand what I should do. He took his time telling us what to do.
The breaks where fun too!

It was great

It was quite challenging at first but the breaks were perfectly timed and our tutor was very helpful and made me understand Java much better..

Good tutor and Good Course

It was really good because we learnt a lot but we were not allowed to play any games there were tooooooooo many screaming kids in the other courses who would try to grab onto your leg BUT apart from that this course was really good and the tutor (HENRY) helped us understand everything.

Very interesting course

It was very good, I learnt a lot, but we were not allowed to play on the computers at break. This makes a child very sad! Educational side :) Break time side :( I recommend this course to people who want to learn code as they teach it very easily in an understandable way.

Cool! When it was my first time, I just snapped and learned the code INSTANTLY. Clearly it was good but I like the lessons in general.

This was really fun since i had already done a little bit of Java and I did not feel like i was not being pushed. I learnt a lot and we managed to finish the entire course early and was able to learn other cool stuff. I loved it

I think this camp was fantastic and anybody who wants to start coding, this is the perfect place. Everybody here is friendly including the peers, the tutors and people doing the other courses. I would recommend this camp to everybody.

I really recommend this camp to anyone who wants to give coding a try. This course has taught me a lot about Java coding (using Eclipse) and Nathan was very helpful. I was able to make several basic games and the course was very interesting. However, don't expect to be playing games, because it is coding, not gaming.
The only thing which stops this from being 5 star was that there were not enough balls to use during break & lunch.

Nathan was a great teacher and is very clear and easy to understand. The course was a bit boring at the beginning but got better after the first day.

Funtech Summer Camp

I have learnt more here than I would in a year of lessons at school. If we found the work difficult, he would help us but not completely tell us the answer, which was really helpful. The music was really really irritating. Other than that i really enjoyed myself. :-)

I really enjoyed the course. It was very relaxed, but in a way which allowed us to get work done. It was a very calm environment, and I found that this made it all the more enjoyable. The only downside to the course was the music which accompanied the videos. IT IS THE WORST MUSIC... otherwise......

Fantastic Week ☺☻☺☻

This was an amazing camp I learnt so much things about Java and I can take in all the info i learnt.
it was so fun. I found it quite challenging but that made it fun.

Java coding

The tutors were very helpful and explained things very clearly. The breaks were quite fun and the lunches were also good. There was a lot of content to learn from and challenges. everything was good except the long day but fortunately there were a lot of breaks.

The Java camp was very good, the place was fantastic, I enjoyed the breaks the tutors were fantastic, the course was very challenging (which is a good thing) and my companions were fantastic, excellent camp I would recommend it.
